I was not impressed. There was a gluten allergy in our party, which was repeated to the waiter. When asking the waiter what options were gluten free, the response was "pick something on the menu you like and Ill tell you if its okay or not." The gluten-free ziti and plain red marinara sauce was selected. When the food arrived, they werent at the same time, and the wrong food arrived, including non-gluten free ziti on the order for the gluten allergy. Sure enough, they did realize their mistake, but not before several bites of the non-gluten pasta were eaten. A new order was made, which took considerable time and by when it arrived the other meals were finished. The restaurant comped the ziti with marinara for their mistake. My hope is that they leaned a lesson... A gluten allergy is serious business and eating it can cause some serious health problems. If they are going to advertise gluten-free options, then that means they ought to be aware of celiac disease and how to properly prepare food for a gluten allergy. The waiter was careless. Hopefully he and the rest of the staff received some type of retraining afterwards.

Was there last night with my family for my 15th wedding anniversary. The restaurant was busy too. We had to wait awhile for our appetizers but were good. Waiter forgot that we order two of the same dish so my family didnt eat all at once since my husband had to wait for his dinner. We have been here on numerous occasions without incident but last night has changed our opinion about the place. I found a bug in my drink that freaked me out. My husband took drink to owner and he made a new one but was skeptical in drinking it. We know the owners so what ticked me off is that I did not cause a scene among other patrons there when I seen the bug. But, we were charged fully for the food including desserts and my drinks!!!! Next time anyone is there for drinks, make sure you look in your glass before the first sip because I wasnt the lucky one on that part..ugh...nasty and still feel queasy over it!!!!

Outstanding pizza!!! Im from New York, and my girlfriend and I have both lived in Italy; Gios Margherita pizza is one of the best weve ever had in the world! Additionally, they have fantastic bread, their home made sausage is stellar, and they grow their own basil! Plus their wine choices are perfectly selected to accompany the entrees on the menu. Of course, with this kind of quality, its not going to be cheap, but its cheaper than a plane ticket to Sicily. Who would have thought Macungie would have such great pizza?

I didnt like it. The food took an hour to reach my table. The manager blamed their fresh food and busy time for the delay. I ordered the most expensive pasta and seafood dish and it only came with 3 shrimp and practically no lobster. Not only that, the shrimp were NOT peeled. I had to search the sauce for the shrimp and peel them myself. My hands were covered with sauce. My girlfriends filet mignon was mediocre and her asparagus was burnt The food was not worth the wait or the money. Sorry.

Pizza is the best in the world, and believe me, Ive been around the world and ate a lot of Pizza. Ask the chef for recommendations, he will prepare the greatest pizza for you. I can recommend the Mediteranneo, its awesome, especially if you take it as on the menu - without cheese. Also the Bianca Neve is delicious, not to forget the Tonino, which is also awesome!

Terrible! Slow service and kind of pricey. Chicken parm was overcooked and chewy. Came with a house salad that wouldnt even satisfy a guinea pig. And dont order the Caesar dressing because its not very good and it costs a dollar more, but they dont tell you that. When brought to the attention of the hostess/owner? all I got was a shrug of the shoulders.

Always great service, great food and first class all the way. Locally family owned and run like a restaurant should be run. Wish more places in Allentown were as good as here. Lehigh Valley is the pits when it comes to finding a reasonably priced restaurant you can get good food and service!

The waiter was nice, bread was really good It took a long time to get main course. The tap water tasted like pipes. The meal was good but marinara sauce taste like from a metal can, maybe they used the same tap water. A little pricey but.nice family ambiance.

Very good local Italian restaurant. Brick oven pizza, typical - but good - Italian fare. They have a nice bar to grab a drink while you wait for your table.

Food is over prices, late to the table, bland and served by indifferent wait staff. So many better choices for your money.
