wow! i have to admit that im really surprised by the bad reviews. usually, my personal ethics keep me away from big chains. id rather invest my money into my own community, so i usually choose to support small, local, mom and pop owned restaurants. but i just cant resist texas roadhouse! ive eaten there at least a dozen times in the two and a half years ive lived in lancaster, and i have yet to have a bad experience. their steaks are tasty and prepared just the way i like them, their fresh vegetables are seasoned perfectly, i dont even eat bread yet i cant resist their sweet rolls, their mashed potatoes are actually REAL which is better than ive had at some "fine dining" shindigs!... (nothing is more disappointing than paying $30-50 for a dinner that has instant mashed potatoes in it... here you can pay $10-20 for a meal with REAL ones!) theyve never messed up my order (except theyve forgotten to give me some of that amazing honey butter once or twice in a to-go order, but i think thats totally forgivable!). their prices are, imo, extremely reasonable given the quality of the food ive had there. staff has always been friendly and capable. the environment can be a little noisy and sports bar-ish, but ... thats because theyre popular, and you can always order to-go! texas roadhouse will forever be my secret guilty big chain restaurant indulgence! love them!

Want a nice steak at a reasonable price? Into a variety of appetizers that are so good, you might order one as your meal? Cutting back on red meat and prefer a big salad? Texas Roadhouse can do all that and more! From their 23-oz Porterhouse T-bone, to the 20-oz bone-in Rib eye, to their flavorful "Road Kill"...this spot does it all. And the best thing about it is that if youre not into consuming all that meat...just request a smaller cut. They will accommodate you with steaks as small as 6-oz or a juicy hamburger. Not in the mood for red meat? Try their many chicken dishes and theres even a few seafood choices. Theres unlimited peanuts and a large selections of side dishes to add to your meal. Ive dined here often, and always found the food to be quite good. With such a huge selection, theres little chance youll go away without finding something that appeals to your culinary mood. I recommend Texas Roadhouse.

Orded a well done burger For personal reasons but the burger was burnt. My hubbys steak was ok. Waitress was nice but Slow start. My family and I have eaten in other Texas Roadhouse restaurants and they were fine. Lancasters TRH was a disappointment. Now what Im about to say is probably out of TRHs hands, but our visit to this restaurant we experienced some rude customers. Many whom would just stare and stare at our family. All we did was order our food and had a nice family dinner. Not sure if they are racist but they clearly gave a unwelcoming vibe with their glares and their frequent need to turn around to stare reactions. These people were tense like theyve never come across different ethnic Americans who may also enjoy American food. Staring is rude especially if youre being judgemental. Some people clearly never learn this.

Were visiting from NY, whole family wanted to try Texas Roadhouse out of NY. Got there and sat down at 6:20. Ordered drinks and appetizers which came out in about 5-8 minutes. Placed the food order, which did not come out until an hour and 15 minutes later.. Salads came out about 45 minutes into that hour and 15 minute span, only to tell us they no longer had Ceasar salad. I think our waitress had originally forgot to put our order in. Needless to say we were not happy. We had an 8 month old and a 2 and 1/2 year old with us who were getting restless for sitting for so long, one without getting her food.. We ended up having to take our food out with us and back to our hotel. Asked to speak with a manager, which never came over. They took off 25% of our bill, but was nowhere near enough for the mess of a restaurant it is.

went when not a busy time. steaks overdone, waitress flakey and didnt seem to understand well done from medium rare when we showed her and didnt seem to care. Offered us coupons for free appetizer on our "next"trip and said we didnt get charged for appetizer like it was a favor, the one we never got while waiting ages, yet table who sat after us got the same. Manager finally cam over, said she knew the waitress was ditzy but that was just the way she was and acted as if she had nothing to with it. I mean they DO steaks and no one knows how to cook them , no accountability , and just an Im sorry come back and try again.

Fairly typical chain restaurant. The food is ok its not out of this world though. They have a good variety of things to choose from. Steak, chicken, BBQ etc and they are reasonably priced. Entrees are anywhere from $10-20 on average. They do have a childrens menu. Its also nice that they give you rolls and peanut s to start with. The noise level is fairly loud. The tables, chairs and booths need some tlc. If your going here I would recommend calling ahead if you are going in the evening or on the weekend.

I am not a crazy steak eater...because it is usually tough and too fatty anywhere I go. Gourmet, family run restaurant or chain. I had the best steak here that I have ever eaten!!!!!!! It cut like velvet, the baked beans were amazing and truly homemade. Do I need to tell you about the bread? Amazing, hot, fresh baked! I found my new favorite place, even if it is a chain. Steak blows away Houstons, Outback and Longhorn!!! You have to go!!!!

Good food but they told me they couldnt accomodate my party of 10. Told me we would have to split up and may not be even seated on same side of restaurant. May not even get a table at same time Whats up with that. I cant believe they couldnt find us a spot. We were willing to wait until something opened up but they said they couldnt seat 10. That is messed up! Sounds like laziness to me! Needless to say if you have large group do not go here!

The food is WAS good. I like how there are peanuts everywhere for you to eat and just throw the shells on the ground. The atmosphere is entertaining. *Update- There food was "OK," my steak was over cooked and kinda tasteless, also the french fries were slightly soggy! I think their quality is skipping, I would suggest going to another steakhouse! Still though had as nice atmosphere.

With all the wonderful local restaurants in Lancaster, it feels weird to give a major chain like Texas Roadhouse 5 stars, but its been something of a tradition to come here yearly over the past few years and Ive always had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. They have excellent margaritas and steaks. Ive never had a negative experience.
