My girlfriend and I went on Saturday, 12 Nov 2011, at 6:30PM. There were 5 customers total in the restaurant. 2 people each at 2 tables and one person at the bar. Therefore, 95% of the "The Vinyard" was empty where the hostess said all tables are reserved. They said we can sit the bar, but the 2 seats we chose were also reserved. I asked the question when we left are you sure you are going to get all seats filled. Reply was absolutely. At that point I said I would be back after eating dinner at another place Laurrapins" one block away. 1 1/2 hours went by and we went back to "The Vinyard". 4 tables out of 12 tables were empty with the sign "reserved" on the tables, plus 1/2 the bar was empty. The bottom line is this place acts like a high end restaurant in an area Cecil and Harford counties where people are not making high end salaries and especially when you have been in business for a few years in Havre de Grace, MD. Poor business plan and turning away paying customers when statistically 1//4 of the reserved tables people will not show up. Those who gave good reviews I guess made it through the faux reserved of this place. Good food or not I would not recommend this place to anyone based on the extreme negative and snobbish attitude. Besides I have been to restaurants in NJ and NYC that surpass this joint. The Vineyard should go out of business and I will help them in this process of going out of business.

Ill start by saying I used to like this place. However, sometimes they do things that irritate me and this has built up over time. For example, it was a 78 degree F day the other weekend and we are walking around with the dog and looking for some place to eat. They have a table out front and outdoor seating in the back as well. Great right?! No! I was told the table and chairs out front are "for decoration only". Okay....well, what about the seats out back? No! The back area closes at the end of September. I wouldnt have even written this review if not for the attitude I got. He acted like I should have known this and how dare I have a dog. Luckily, Tidewater lets you bring dogs and Gasp! they opened up their outdoor seating! I dont know how they did this in mid October? It probably took an executive order. Either way, Tidewater was packed and the wine bar had 2 people. That says something. Also, dont expect an even halfway decent beer selection here. Even though restaurant is small, the environment was quaint. The service from Jason was GREAT, professional, attentive, and friendly. The recommended wine was stellar, the food DELICIOUS, and the price not as much as some other fine dining in Harford County. DEFINITELY want to and WILL return again! GREAT Date night whether married or single. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I went there for the fourth or fifth time and I have had the same experience every single time, poor customer service. The staff are very uppity, rude, and not friendly. The wine selection is very nice and the food is good, but poor service ruins the experience. I am officially done with this place.

I give up on this place. Tried three times over two years. Once, they were closed early. Second time, they were out of menu items and not nice about it. Last time, they loudly and rudely denied my family service (we had my 4mo daughter). Just go to Laurrapin or MacGregors instead.

Great service, quiet atmosphere, and an awesome wine selection! I had the Prosciutto Flatbread for $9.75 and my girlfriend had the Vegetarian Mushroom Flatbread. Both dishes were perfect and we left very happy with the experience.

Great service, fun to go to on a Sunday afternoon when its not crowded. The food is delicious and the people who work there are very educated about the wine they serve. My husband and I really enjoy this place, give it a try!

My new go to hang out. Food and wine was amazing. Didnt make a reservation and they made room for us anyway. However if you make a reservation you can stay there the entire night. Great escape from the usual bar scene.

Lovely intimate neighborhood spot! Interesting foodie menu and an OMG wine list. Crab and corn chowder is delish! Turkey Apple Brie flatbread was perfect! Server Brandi was wonderful: friendly attentive and genuine.
