The Little Red Schoolhouse is not open for dinner. Breakfast is their specialty, and you will probably not be disappointed, although the food is nothing to rave about either. The prices are very low, but you dont get an excessive amount of food. My party did not have anything bad, but nothing memorable either. The floorplan is open, leaving the kitchen exposed to the eating area, a touch which I always like. The place is decorated with antique memorabilia and kitchen wares, which some in my party found charming, but I thought the place looked cluttered. When we went, it was full, and there was just one waitress moving as fast as she could, but it was still probably fifteen minutes before we even got our menus. The owner is super friendly, but she probably would have been better served by throwing on an apron and helping in the kitchen.

Ive had decent meals here in the past but the last time was the worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant. Ordered a burger medium that came out completely raw inside and missing the fixings that it was to come with. When I showed the cook the burger he agreed that it was undercooked and proceeded to put it back on the grill. AFTER I HAD TAKEN A BITE OUT OF IT!! I dont waste food but you cannot do that in a public place. Found a hair in the Maryland crab soup. Then we had to listen to cook/dishwasher talk to the waitress about a disgusting scab on his hand! People arguing loudly in the back also. Place was empty and not busy at all, but a whole table of dirty dishes was left right next to us from start to finish. Worst lunch I ever paid for.

This was my 1st. time at this restaurant. I order the Jambalaya with grits. Im from the south, I know what jambalaya is and this was not Jambalaya. I took 3 bites . I couldnt get pasted the cheap burnt sausage taste and the 3 over cooked baby shrimp. By far the worst Jambalaya on the planet. I hope I dont get SICK. They should think about taking it off the menu. However the grits by them selves were good. The employees fussed at each other . Doesnt look like a good work environment . So if you go here to eat, order something that you know that even the worst cooks cant mess up. Good Luck.

Had breakfast there today and wish I lived closer as I would visit on a regular basis. The food was great (they serve Italian sausage instead of the English sausage that tastes like cardboard) and my easy-over eggs were done to perfection. The pancakes could have been a little fluffier and larger, but compared to the price and the very pleasant demeanor of the employees, this is a breakfast restaurant I gladly recommend.

My finace and her son have been going there for years. I have been a couple times. We live 45 minutes away and dont mind the trip for their breakfast. This is a great old style restaurant. Very friendly people(employees and customers). Great tasting food like grandma used to make. We are heading there this morning with our neighbors who havent been before...they will get addicted!

Ive driven past this place numerous times in the last 2 yrs. We finally stopped. HOLY MOLY what a great place! Its now one of my top favourites. The school house theme is perfection not kitschy. And the eggs benedict was one of the best Ive had.

I highly recommend this place to anyone! My wife and I had western Omelets and were delicious! The staff was great and the schoolhouse was adorable! Of course we loved it!

Waitress was more concerned about when they closed than us. We for no "is everything ok" no thank you, no would you like dessert? Could be a great place, but not now.

Good breakfast in an old school house. The food was good and the atmosphere was cool. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Waited 10+ minutes to be even handed a menu. Waitress didnt ask what we wanted to drink and rushed off. Staff yelling at each other. We left and went elsewhere.

liked it before. food is mediocre now. sausage gravy is very bland and the sausage link was smashed, chewy and gross. sad to say we will not be returning.

Went to this place after visiting Gettysburg one morning. This restaurant is super cheap and the food is tasty. Just feels like homemade food.

The food was just so so. The service was very slow. And if you are not a regular here, expect to be stared at the WHOLE time.
