Not as good as I remember this place being. First, when we showed up at 6:30pm there was a large party in front of us. I understand that waitresses get busy, but we shouldnt have had to sit at our table and wait 30 minutes for someone to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. The second problem we had was the waitress that was sent to us. She was a very unpleasant and rude person. She asked how we were doing and my friend said we had been waiting for a long time so we were kind of irritated and she said "well you should have made a reservation." And walked away. She eventually came to take our order and as I was ordering, everything I wanted she had to tell me something negative about it. I asked for applesauce and her response was "thats nasty, its out of a can." We ordered a grilled cheese for the child with us and she said "thats nasty too. Its made on a sub roll.. ". Finally once she got to my order, they were out of sweet potatoes so I ordered deviled eggs. She came back out about an HOUR and a half later with our food and informed me that thdy were oUT of deviled eggs.. Pissed, I stated to just bring me potatoe salad so I can eat my meal. We just left there, and its 9:30pm. Rediculous amount of time waiting for food that wasnt even really anything to brag about. It was average. My shrimp were chewy.. Im not writing a review to bash this place. I actually used to love them, but they have been going downhill. I am extremely dissapointed and hope they improve their service and maybe hire staff that are pleasant to be around.

Im not gonna try to pull the proverbial wool over anyones eyes.... I believe Ive had the opportunity to enjoy some REALLY fantastic seafood at various places around the world... That having been said, and as one who lives in KW County, I have to give Seafarers some good credit. They do deal with some locally gathered fare, and it is great! When crab season is in, and you pay for the #1s, they simply are FANTASTIC! There is no better steamed Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab than what they serve, steamed and seasoned with Old Bay. Other than that, and I try to avoid most fried food, they also have other good locally gathered seafood, as well as imports, like the king crab legs and shrimp. The quality isnt world class, but neither is the price. I usually get the steamed sampler, and am ALWAYS very satisfied with the food. Service is very warm and welcoming, restaurant is clean and typical "fishermans wharf" style motif, but be forewarned... Friday and Saturday nights get very busy sometimes, and its a strain on a small business, so dont be surprised if it takes a while to be served. Otherwise, Ill continue to be a satisfied faithful patron at Seafarers to get my seafood fix!!

My wife and I went to the restaurant on the recommendation of an old friend. The food was great, we had the crab dip and crab balls my wife had a cup of she crab soup and a salad. The food had great flavor , however the waitress told me that she had served the crab dip to parties of 4 before. I only hope that they werent charged like I was. This was an appetizer that was enough for 2-4 people but I was charged for 2 of them since we were sharing it. Like I said the food is great and the service is very good but I could have eaten at Awful Arthurs or Red Lobster for a lot less money.

Lovely waitress and pretty restaurant. Theres were the compliments stop unfortunately. I love mom and paps places and really wanna like this place but food was awful. Got the dozen raw oysters - not edible - old smelled bad. Daily soup - crab was under-seasoned but edible with salt and pepper. Seafood stew not edible - just liquid not creamy with bad seafood. Gave up at this point and got the check. Paid $33 for 1 glass of wine, 1 beer, and two uneaten soups.

Called in for Christmas platter. Lady who stated she was owners sister was very disrespectful and did not have time to deal with me. Went to pick up platter..it was a complete joke. They charged me 25.00 for garnish and very little shrimp for the price. Told her I did not want and she was so ugly. Staff seemed to agree that she has no customer service abilities. Called another seafood place and Got same shrimp lbs. For 1/2 price! I will never go back!

Just enjoyed a whole red snapper, broiled to perfection, garnished with large orange slices, quite the presentation! Rivals the whole fish I enjoy in (little Havana) Miami at Versailles. Collard greens were plump & fresh complimenting a nice potatoes salad. My girlfriend enjoyed jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat over fresh grilled tomatoes. The Richmond area is fortunate to have such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with such high quality seafood.

4 perfect fried oysters on ordenay slight dry bun iceberg lettuce and not ripe tomatos soggy french fries very sweet "CHEESE???" Cake with no detecable cheese . Tasty yes but loaded with GMO corn sugar that gave me a delightful eavenig of the smelly farts. . All for $30 including tip. Lets see that is $7.50 each for good oysters . No thanks . Mickey Ds square fish from the square pond is only a couple of bucks and doesnt give me gas

My onion rings had a long string of hair connecting onion rings in a chain as I pulled one ring from the pile. I had rockfish nuggets and the fish was old, and had a strong fishy flavor--Rockfish is a mild fish. I had steamed shrimp on a prior occasion that had a strong amonia flavor. I havent returned since the hair incident.

Top of our Go To list when we are lucky enough to go to dinner. The food is FABULOUS, the staff AWESOME, the atmosphere clean, bright, and friendly. When Amber has specials (apps OR mains) do yourself a favor and try them! Shes got a master chef back there, I swear it!

The oysters and shrimp were huge and cooked to perfection. I give their food a fivestar plus.i have ate at fine dining seafood restraints around East Coast and gulf coast and I find that to be the best. I will recommend this place to everyone who loves seafood.

We have been to Seafarers several times and LOVE their fresh seafood, the warm atmosphere and their AMAZING hush puppies! We love to support local businesses whenever possible and will be introducing family and friends to this wonderful King William county gem!!

My husband, a friend and I just had lunch here. We all enjoyed our meals. Two of us had the lump salad-there was alot of crab in the salad. One of us had the crab cakes sand. It was good. All in all we will definitely be back!! Great place to eat

My family visited for my moms birthday. They had a nice selection of fresh seafood, nothing fancy. Unfortunately our dinner (3 meals) took over and hour to come out, evem though they werent busy. Our meals were decent and fresh!

Had a date night with the wife. She doea seafood, and I dont. I got the mushroom beacon burger. It was delicious. She got the crab cake sandwich. It was delicious. Everything was delicious. They provided a great date night.
