Some of the best Italian food youll find. Mama Louisa does all the cooking. Everything is made from scratch including the ingredients that go into her dishes. If you order tiramisu know that she not only made the dish by hand but she even made the lady fingers that went into it by hand. This is your Italian grandmothers kitchen. Nothing fancy as far as atmosphere but certainly comfortable enough and they have a full bar. Your waitress is Eleonora, Luisas daughter. These women are the only employees. They dont trust their business to anyone but themselves and it shows in the exceptional quality of food. Everything from cheese steaks and burgers on homemade Italian bread to a variety of pasta dishes in Mamas outrageously good homemade sauce. If you happen to be there on a day that she has made Lobster ravioli, get it. Stuffed full of fresh Lobster meat and cheese in a light butter sauce. She makes from scratch all of the desserts as well including cannoli, tiramisu and lemon cake. This is by far my familys favorite restaurant especially my husband the Italian food aficionado. This restaurant by far is THE BEST Italian restaurant. And this is coming from a second generation Italian straight from Italy. La Cuchinas and Genovas, who are supposed to be the local authentic talent around here absolutely suck. Genovas Italian wedding soup was like eating minestrone soup and La Cuchinas Veal Picatta had such a vinegar taste, ugh, I thought I was going to throw up. Anyway, La Fonte has authentic Italians running the place who are straight from Italy. The food is handmade when you order it. There is none of this pre-packaged making of food like at the chain restaurants. No way, here you are going to get the real deal. And the desserts are to die for. When you go here there is no disappointment, and you will truly be pleased.

Amazing. This is the food I grew up with. I live in NY were you are supposed to get great Italian food. I never realized the best Italian food I would ever have would be on vacation in PA. Mamma Luisa brought back memories of my childhood sitting around my Grandmas table. If you are anywhere near this restaurant it is a must go to place. I will definitely make it a point to travel the 4 hours at least once or twice a year just eat at this restaurant. Thank you for the best home cooked meal since my grandmother was alive. La Fonte is owned by a wonderful local family who immigrated from Italy. The recipes are authentic and very tasty. Our wedding rehearsal dinner was in their back formal dining room. Everyone was very pleased with the salad, Lasagne and Milk Cake that was served. I was at La Fonte once before the rehearsal dinner and had the crab cakes. They were nearly all crab meat and were the best Ive tried in the Harrisburg area. The prices are reasonable and the portions are perfect.

Scrumptious authentic italian dishes made with the freshest ingredients! Fantastic people! On our first trip, Eleanora and Luisa treated us like long-lost family! They care very much about their customers and the reputation of their restaurant. The spinach canellonni was superb!! lots of fresh spinach and perfectly flavored! Hubby had the pesto which was also fresh and tasty! Cant wait to go back again and try the eggplant!! Luisa says it is a specialty of hers!!

This place is absolutely fantastic!! The owners were there and involved with every step of our order. The food is incredible and the dessert was delicious. It is all homemade and it shows. This place is worth the trip and worth every penny. The restaurant and pub are very clean and well lit. Thanks Mama and the rest of the staff for a great visit. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area. Look for additional parking in the back.

We were blessed to eat at La Fonte. My husband surprised me with a delicious dinner celebration along with our son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren for my 70th birthday. Luisa and Eleanora treated us like family. The food was perfect!! Better food at La Fonte than we had two years ago in Sorrento, Italy. Luisa is a treasure and excellent chef!! What a wonderful family business!

Absolutely fantastic! The sauce was delectable, salad was fresh and included vegetables from the owners own garden. The gnocchi and eggplant parmesan were superb! We were welcomed like family and had just the best time meeting the owner and her daughter. We would go out if our way to dine here again.

Had my wedding rehersal dinner here last weekend. Mama, the head chef, was the most kind, thoughtful, and energetic person ever. Her food was incredible, and she even made extra food for our guests just to try. Her meatballs are incredible. They made us feel like family. I will be back!
