By far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My wife ordered the seafood arabiatta and it tasted funny. We eventually determined that the mussels tasted bad. We sent it back and chef sent it back with the message that it looked fine. The waitress offered us something else, but having both tasted the dish that looked fine we politely refused. The check arrived and the waitress hurried away but the dish that was now making me feel like vomiting was still on the bill. I paid figuring they would take it off but they did not. Not wanting to wait another 10 minutes to see our waitress again we left, and we now have big plans of vomiting all night. This a place of Kitchen Nightmares. Bad food, an obviously arrogant chef, and very disappointed customers. We will not return or recommend, eat at your own risk. On a side note my steak azteka was tender, but horribly over seasoned mostly due to being cover in green junk. The salad was good...

This is our favorite restaurant. We go here 4-5 times a year for special occasions, and weve never had a bad experience. The menu is wonderful, the presentation is magnificent, and the service is always friendly and unhurried. This is the only place we ever go for Valentines Day because they dont overbook and it isnt rushed and theres no wait. In the winter, request the main room by a fireplace or on the balcony; in the summer eat on the patio. Id give it 6 stars if I could. It isnt cheap. Go sit in the pub if you want inexpensive--its a nice atmosphere also.

We had a rehearsal dinner for 50 people, we had steak, salmon, spicy tofu and kids choices. All of our meals arrived timely, food was delicious. John assisted us in making decisions for appetizers, entrees, dessert and beverages. Our room was beautifully decorated and all enjoyed there time there. Many who came from out of state, said they will be back to enjoy the quaint atmosphere and delicious food. Thanks, John for a lovely party.

This is a great restaurant in a relatively secluded spot. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is a kind of up scale casual. Jeans are okay, but so is more formal dress. The attached bar, Whispers Pub, is also very nice. The prices are a little high, but pretty in line with this genre of eatery. If you are nearby and looking for a good meal, I would recommend a visit.

The manager is the most deceitful person you would ever have to do business with and worst yet, the owner knows about it and allows it. He lied and changed the agreement without letting me know. He lied on the vegetarian meal being available to as many members of my family and more. I would never give him another penny out of my pocket. He is a thief and not to be trusted.

One of the most beautiful restaurants Ive ever been to with delicious food to match! Whether you want pub food or something fancy (the seafood selection is AMAZING!) the Hartwood really does it all, and does it well. The balcony is very romantic.

Great, cozy, good food. Best filet mignon special in town (on the kids menu). Really like the ambiance here, bookshelves everywhere and cozy lighting and a wonderful dimly lit bar plus a nice three season outdoor area with a fire.
