I was visiting in town for almost a week from Texas and this place became my spot to eat at while I was visiting. Ill tell you, the food here is amazing and Im in love with their sweet potato fries. But the last two times I came here, I had the worst service in my entire life from the same waitress who also refused to tell me her name. When I saw her again, I figured to give her another chance and she was extremely rude to me again. The ordering was lousy and she wasnt friendly at all. It took nearly an hour just to get my food and it would have taken longer if I didnt walk up front asking about it. She only came to our table twice and didnt refill our waters, yet she told us off that it was our fault that we didnt get to her for our refills. We also had to go and find her for our check. First off, it should be the waitress job to check on their tables from time to time and keep an eye out for refills. After the check came in, she had selected the highest graditute tip (18%) which I didnt think she deserved a $5.08 tip and preferred to tip her $2.00 minimum. The receipt stated we can change the graditute tip to whichever we think is most appropriate, we also asked to double check and was told we can change it. Then of course, she came onto me in a aggressive manner when I asked to change the graditute tip to %10, she kept asking me why and I told her the truth in the nicest way as possible. Instead of listening to me, she still came back to give me my card and copy with the %18 and I just had enough of this place. She threw a little fuss and I just left cause I couldnt put up with her any longer again. I was pretty upset and sad since I loved coming here. If you dont want to be put up with a really crappy service and deal with people like her, dont come here at all. But if you dont care about that where youd be willing to wait who knows how long just to get your order placed in and for your food and lousy service then go for it.

Worst. Breakfast. Food. Ever. And most expensive too! Seriously, we paid almost 13 dollars for a breakfast you could get for 3 dollars in any other place. The pancakes were cruddy, unless you like something that tasted like it was sprayed from a can, frozen for 2 years and warmed up in the cooks pants. Really, 11th Street Diner, its not that hard, or expensive, to make pancakes from scratch. Also, one would think that a place that is charging double digits for 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 pieces of bacon would be able to offer actual syrup and not cut into their profit margin too much. Apparently not, they only offer Smuckers brand "flavored" high fructose corn syrup. They did offer a "small cob salad" for 11 dollars which was pretty good. Considering how cruddy their pancakes were, I was surprized that the salad had fresh avacados and crisp lettuce. Oh, did I mention the lack luster service and that they automatically include an %18 tip? The waitress just threw the food on the table and never reappeared until we had asked another server for our bill. Not even a brief stop back to ask "Is your expensive food disappointing enough?". Of course, why bother providing a modicum of service when your tip is guarenteed, eh? Really, the only reason to visit this place is to see the outside of it. Then youd probably have a better eating experience going across the street and paying 9 dollars for a Whopper from Burger King.

Incredibly disappointed. We were really looking forward to eating here becausw the menu looked great and it smelled good when we walked in. However, my mood quickly changed when we were approached by the rudest hostess Ive ever seen in my life. They sat 2 people in front of us that were waiting before we got there. Then, us two came in, following another party of two. The hostess asked us how many, asked if a certain table was good, and said "Okay, you can have that one" and pointed to a random table across the diner. She then disappeared and seated the party of two that came in AFTER us WITH menus. I was really confused and just walked over to the table she pointed at very rudely. Then, her and a server screamed at us saying "YOU HAVE TO WAIT!!!!" when she JUST told us where to sit and sat the party that came after us. When I tried to explain the situation and get menus myself, she proceeded to talk to me like I wasnt about to be a paying customer. She never apologized and threw the menus on the table. You bet I quickly walked out telling her "I hope you have a better day!" Cant wait to try the next restaurant with better service and happier people! Someone should probably teach her that the hosts are the first interaction customers have and you should NOT treat them with this much disrespect. I truly hope she isnt working if you go visit the diner!

My boyfriend and I ate breakfast one afternoon here. When I received my breakfast, there was dust, lint, and hairs on my toast. We gave it a second chance a few days later. We had been at the beach all morning after spending money on rented beach loungers. I wanted to get there before 3 pm as the online menu and menu in the restaurant said they serve waffles until 3 pm. We arrive a little before 2:45 pm and ask to sit outside where a few other people were. A family of four got seated after us and waited on first. We sat there for ten minutes (as there was a clock on the wall right in front of us) before anyone even asked us if we wanted something to drink. Since we knew what we wanted ahead of time we didnt even open up our menus. When I ordered the waffles she said they dont have them anymore despite the table right next to us had just been brought a plate of waffles. I would never have left the beach, on a nice day, early to have horrible service and to be ignored. We went down the street and spent our money at a different place. Horrible service, especially when there were three different servers constantly walking back and forth, and pretty mediocre food. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

this was one of my mothers favorite places to eat until recently. We brought my 15 month old son there and the OWNER treated him like crap. We had a terrible table and as soon as we sat down the owner came out and was asking why my son was screaming(he could he him from the office). We had had not been there for one minute and my son was not making a sound. He said he had to worry about the other customers, which I could understand if my son was acting up but he wasnt doing anything. I ended up leaving and waiting for my mother outside(no one was on the patio-not one person) the owners comes running out and saying "lady, lady-little fingers on the windows are not good" My son was no where near the window. The man was nuts and annoying beyond belief. Another women left for the same reason, she said he kept coming to her table asking if her children needed anything(in a rude manner) and hurrying them out. We will never eat there again.
