I had what was literally the worst dining experience of my life at this diner last evening / early this morning. My expectations of late night dining are never very high as I work in the restaurant industry so Im aware that there are usually few employees taking care of however many guests happen to come in. It was not busy by any means when my friend and I entered, there were maybe 4-5 tables of two. The server greeted us in a non-friendly manner. I was delivered a Pepsi that had practically no syrup in it and had to wait 15 minutes for a new one. We ordered breakfast and a bowl of french onion soup. Our server never wrote down our order. About 30 minutes later the server walked out with the wrong food, back into the kitchen, and then returned with the french onion soup which looked like it was sitting in the window for at least 10 minutes - cheese was burnt. We then heard the table behind us get their food and the gentleman said "well its about time, we were about to go in there and get it ourselves." Clearly we were not the only ones who were unsatisfied. She then delivered ONE of our orders. 10 minutes later delivered the other meal (half cold) and apologized for the mistake, letting us know the meal would be "on her." After we ate, she delivered our check which still had both meals and the soup on it, and explained she was "unable to pay for the meal," but suggested we just not tip her. This place needs a better late night server, as this one clearly cannot handle her own. Also, dont EVER walk up to a table and take their order without writing it down and then screw it up. If she wouldve taken the two seconds to write everything down (even though it was two orders and a soup), Im sure this horrid experience couldve been avoided. If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst service of all time, and I will likely not return.

Waitress very rude. I went to this restaurant for the first time on fathers day with my husband and son. I ordered breakfast 2 eggs medium well with home fries and toast. The waitress brought me back 2 eggs over easy very soft, I told her and she took the food back, again she brought me the same think, I told her and she got very upset and told me not to yell at her, when I was just explaining what I wanted. she took the food and the manager brought me back the same, and told me if that was ok. I told him that I wanted eggs medium well, but it looks like this people dont know how to prepare eggs. I ended up not eating the food, and paying for it anyway., in fact I even pay for returning it back, because the bill was very high for what we ordered. My husband was upset and so was my son. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They have too much advertisement, but are no good. Go To Perking or Somewhere else.

I wish I didnt have to give this place one star. I went there with my elderly mother and the service we were presented with was absolutely atrocious. We waited approximately 47 minutes for our food to come out. About 3 different families that came in after us was served before us. The food arrived to our table cold and our waitress refused to acknowledge that. Not to mention so rude and uncaring. We were over charged for meals that were less than satisfactory. We paid kindly and left. I will NOT be returning to this diner again. Sorry for the one star, but even the one star is a bit too much for this place. Never never ever again.

East Penn DIner or EPD as the local kids call it is a great local choice in the Emmaus borough. Plenty of food choices are available with your typical diner favorites on the menu. My personal favorite is the western meatloaf. Two meals worth of food for the price of one. The restaurant is a favorite of the high schoolers in the area and they support the local kids clubs as well. Your $ is well spent here so drop in and enjoy the best coffee in town.

Family fave. I take my kids here like once a month when I cant even. Reliably good, not trying to be something its not. My fave is the fact they have real actual bacon on the salad bar and not weird "bacon bits." And amazing nonstop jams from the 70s-80s. Literally best diner music ever. Also for some reason their mugs are blue glass which is quirky and I love it.

Im a born and bred Jersey guy from a state with legendary Diners. The East Penn Diner is as fine a Diner as Ive ever eaten in. The salad bar is fantastic, the food is outstanding, and a real bonus is the friendliness of the Staff. When Im in the Emmaus area, I dont even THINK about where Ill be eating, thanks to this 5-star Diner.

I wish I never went to this restaurant, the service was horrible our server couldnt have been any less helpful, he seemed entirely too young to be working a job of this caliber, and I had an overwhelmingly negative experience in general. Going to this restaurant ruined my day and I hope it closes soon. Disgraceful.

Food is always on point here, I would definitely recommend the prime rib on Friday nights. Its probably the best in the area. Staff is always very nice and willing to go the extra mile. If you never been here before make sure you make a trip out and have some of the best food in the Lehigh valley.

Very friendly staff and the food is excellent. The family and I are starting to become regulars because of the food and service. We have a big service dog and we are always treated with respect when we arrive and leave. We would recommend this Diner to everybody.

What youd expect from a typical Diner and more. They have a very diverse menu bridging off traditional diner food. Ive been very happy with the food Ive gotten there and the staff. I have to say for vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free there isnt much.

Food and service is always Awesome. I go to this diner all the time by myself or with my family. Prices are very reasonable. I grew up in NJ with diners everywhere and this is on par with what I expect from a diner.

Favorite after-hours diner. When its something like 11pm-5am and I am hungry this is a good place to go on this side of Allentown. Very good food, good portion sizes.
