Came here and got a breakfast plate and I asked the waitress if I can sub the home fries with bacon she replied " oh yes no problem". Checked the bill and they charged me $3.75 for two slices of bacon when I said something to the cashier about it (older gentlemen) I told him the waitress said I could substitute it he said word for word "no you mistake, your wrong ". I said sir ask your waitress after a bit of back and forth he said he would be back and spoke to her she shook her head yes then he came back with the original price I asked him did she say that I could substitute the bacon and he said" she was wrong but so are you you dont go to a restaurant asking for the pasta to substitute it for steak you know". I gathered all my strength and will power not to ruin the outing with my family and payed the amount and made sue he heard me say and write down no tip. Took even more when he called me cheap. Thats when I walked out saying have a nice day sir LOL. BUT LONG STORY SHORT NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN.

A traditional diner with Pennsylvania flavor. Unfortunately when you walk in, youre greeted with a sign that says No ID, No Credit Card Transactions. Thought maybe I was in a bad /the wrong neighborhood. Clean place. Nice diner. Was looking forward to creamed chip beef with a side of scrapple. CCB was excellent. Scrapple overcooked, dry, hard. Waitress was on the spot, took our order, delivered the good and never returned to ask how things were. Great prices. Nice people though. 50 /50 chance of me returning.

If you are really hungry for good food, this is the place to go. You will not wait long for a table even though the restaurant is always packed. You will not wait for a waitress and you wont wait long for your food. This place has it together. Weve never had a bad waitress/waiter and these people hustle and are always friendly. My favorite is the spinach and feta omlette... Theyre not cheap with the feta and the eggs always taste fresh. It is a traditional diner atmosphere but always clean and friendly

Delicious food at a fair price with excellent service. The service staff is welcoming and friendly. So far Ive only been there for lunch, but Im impressed. Their soups are excellent, as are the gyro and Ruben sandwiches. They also have a beautiful array of pastries including cheesecakes. Im looking forward to trying the other items on the menu, which includes breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend this place, you wont be disappointed.

Dont listen to the people who said that there is "bad service" here. I cant try to explain their experience because mine was great! I had about 2 seconds in the door before I was seated, and then I was met by multiple servers for conversation and laughter. The food was wonderfully priced and the burger I had tasted like my grandma made it at home - old school charm. If I ever fly back into Allentown, Ill have to visit this diner again!

The service was outstanding! We were seated immediately and received our food within less than 10 minutes of ordering. It was a very busy Saturday morning but the staff was friendly and did not rush around but did their jobs expediently and with a smile. The food was excellent and done to perfection. You receive generous portions and the prices are more than reasonable for the quantity you get. Very happy with the experience.

Used to go to this diner but yesterday the turkey tasted so old the stuffing was filled with sage and the chicken with rice tasted like curry. The waitress knew u hated it and offered something else but doggie bagged the food that wasnt even good enough for my dog. And the lasagna we ordered was stale and the meat tastes old and disgusting , the coffee wasnt even fresh. Very disappointing will not return to this diner.

Horrible food, mediocre service and a case of the Colorado Quick Stuff. Its kind of unusual to get bad food at a diner. The salad bar is mostly iceberg lettuce, with a few trimming. The Gyros are not Gyros (beef or chicken, no lamb). The veggies are amazingly over cooked. I was going to give it two stars until the diarrhea kicked in two hours after I ate there. Im just glad I wasnt in a meeting.

It is our favorite place to eat breakfast on the weekends! My husband and I come every weekend and the one waitress Helen is the BEST ! She is just awesome, very good at what she does, attentive, on top of everything and Very friendly. This diner is a Very down to earth and just a homey kind of place . And most importantly - Absolutely delicious food!

Generous portions and always greeted with a smile. You can always count on them knowing who you are and what you want even if you havent been there in a awhile. Thats why when I come here I always feel like its family. I have had just about everything on the menu, but i love the veal parm. They do such a good job, and the service is always quick.

Honestly this place is everything you want in a diner. They have a huge menu and super quick service. We were seated instantly and had our meal within 10 minutes. They were able to accommodate my fiances milk allergy and the staff were so friendly. The decor is that old school diner style that you want in a classic diner. 100% recomended.

Great service all day. This is our go to place for a dinner. The food is always hot, and served quickly. The servers let us take advantage of specials even if they are not on the menu, they find a way to do it. They serve typical diner food, and do it well. There is a well stocked fresh salad bar for lunch and dinner.

My waitress took 10 minutes from sitting down until she came to ask if I wanted coffee. The sausage was frozen in the middle and burnt outside the pancakes were tough and cold. Never got a second cup of coffee. I could understand if it was busy but this was 10:30 at night. Will never be back.

Everytime I come the place is packed. The owners or the people standing at the counter are friendly and quick to seat you. Waitresses are friendly and quick to take your order. The food is good, its what you expect from a diner and reasonably priced. I would bring my family.

If youre looking for a good diner in the whitehall/ allentown area I highly recommend giving this place a try. The food is better than typical diner food and the staff is very warm and friendly.Also the soup and salad bar is so good! Lots of fresh toppings to chose from.

Diner food is comfort food. Diner food is memory food for folks my age. The Bethlehem Diner fills the bill for both. And the "bill" is more than reasonable for the quantity AND quality of the food offered. Their home-made pies are TO DIE FOR
