Is there a negative star rating available??? Im from Chicago where there are probably more family owned Mexican restaurants there than you have Sheetz pizza or Turkey hills out here, so maybe Im a little biased and will be a harsher critic than the rest, however! I want to know if I visited the same restaurant that the other “reviewers” visited or if it was the owner who wrote his/her own reviews because I am not only disappointed but ANGRY at what I tried to eat here. I guess if youve never had real Mexican food, you wouldnt know what good Mexican food tastes like. For one, I called to ask if they offered “horchata” any authentic Mexican restaurant should know what horchata (pronounced oar•cha•tah) is, If you dont know what it is then you probably should name your restaurant “Taco Bell” instead. Now Ive only been to Taco Bell twice in my entire life. I would order there before coming here again!!! When I first walked into the restaurant I was impressed with the number of people that were in there (although there were several empty tables and the bar was completely empty), only to realize about an hour after I left… TONIGHTS FRIDAY, it should be JAM PACKED!!!! Anyway, I ordered for myself the “carne asada” enchilada (to go). That was THE MOST disgusting thing Ive ever tasted. Now mind you I have spent most of my twenties in prison where meat that was 6months old was considered “fresh”, I think it was pathetic that I have experienced better food IN PRISON than at the Brass Buckle!!! The enchilada tasted as though they just threw some watered down chef Boyardee sauce over a tortilla and called it enchilada. And the rice, what on earth was that? We had also ordered chicken tacos (also to go) and though I didnt taste any of it, there were left overs. So I brought the left overs home, the dog sniffed the enchiladas and lifted its nose in disgust & only ate some of the chicken from the tacos. I went to Walmart yesterday and bought some frozen Chimichangas (8 pieces for about 3 or 4 bucks) it actually tastes MUCH better and closer to Mexican than what I couldnt eat at the Brass Buckle!!! I hope that both the owner AND the chef are reading this. As for the chef, if your name is something like “Bobby” or “Butch”, I forgive you, but if its something like “Jorge” or “Juan” Id like to slap you with a tortilla for not paying attention to what your momma was doing in the kitchen and/or for not taking charge of the menu and the ingredients and taking PRIDE in your work. As for the owner, if youre offended GOOD!!! I hope you do something about it; I would be pleased to return then! Maybe you should pay a visit to Chicago to see what real Mexican food tastes like (assuming you have pride in your restaurant and are not just in it for money). Maybe you should have Gordon Ramsay pay you a visit as well because there are too few Mexican joints in the area for yours to be nearly empty on a Friday night especially when it has A BAR (thats bad news!!!).

Second time we ate here. The first time it was very busy so we were not surprised by the slow service. This time there were 3 tables with people. Service was slow, waitress did not even look at us. People that came in after us received their food first. Bottom line: $8 burrito with no chips, beans, rice......that looked like it was microwaved on the plate? Beef taco that did not taste as good as what you could buy in a grocery store (my son loves tacos and he would not eat it)? Couldnt get her attention to take my credit card and then it took 10 minutes to get the receipt? Did I mention the service was slow?? I just dont get it. Tried it twice...will not be back. For the high cost to eat out today, is good service and food too high an expectation?

Started off well. We gave our order which included salads. Waitress told us salads on the way. Next another waitress arrives with dinner. Portion much smaller than previous visits. No salad yet. Waitress was told to forget salads..food would get cold. No plate was delivered to construct fajita. My husband asked for a plate..we waited..waited..no plate. My husband goes to look for waitress for the plate. She and another waitress outside!!! She stated talking to the boss. Too bad the boss wasnt more concerned about the customers. Food was tasty..plates hot but food only room temp. We were comped for the salads. We will not return. When I asked what was wrong..I was told new kitchen help. Not the brass buckle of years ago!

Please a order to go. Ordered chicken fajitas wich comes with spanish rice and refried beans , i asked the guy if i could have a side of pico de gallo he said yes. When we pick our food , i just had fajitas in one container , another little container with salad (i didnt want that but he told me on the phone it comes with it ...) and tortillas. They forgot my rice and refried beans and pick de Gallo. So disappointed

Service was great; it was quick, friendly, and on point. It was slow, when I went in though. I ordered take out, first time here. Its definitely a cute place, maybe better for their American foods. We got Mexican and I wasnt pleased. It was edible of course, but no authentic flavor, whatsoever. It tasted store bought with a little personal zest. Id go back for their live shows or for drinks, but ill pass on the food.

Perfect storm of super-slow service mediocre (mango chicken) to terrible (old and/or freezer-burnt tres leches cake) food. Also, may be a coincidence, but I got an almost instant case of heartburn, which I dont often have. In fairness to them, I didnt mention this there (Im not averse to doing so, but I just wanted to get out as soon as I could), so they didnt have a chance to try to make it right.

I was passing through pennsylvania and decided to eat at the " areas #1 Mexican restaurant", Brass Buckle. I guess theres no Mexican places in the county. I ordered a standard carne asada burrito but i got steakums and A1 steaksauce wrapped in a tortilla cover in chef boyardee. The icing on the crap cake was the annoying and mean waitress. Dont go here! It scared me and my wallet.

We had my daughters baby shower here. It was the easiest party I ever planned. The owner and staff was there for any needs. The food was hot and very well cooked. Would recommend for any occasion. And they did not make you feel like you were rushed to get out. I will book other parties there the experience was awesome.

Was recommended this place. Went here once for wing night with two friends for wing night. The outside by the heat lamps was beautiful. Unfortunately the service was not. Spent about 2 hours here and got through two sets of the boneless wings. Couldnt be bothered to order any more. The wings tasted fine.

I would go back. I had the duck and brie taco and it was delicious. Sitting outside had a great atmosphere. The guacamole and queso left something to be desired. Beer list was ok.

Great food and drink. I loved the old menu but the new menu is phenomenal. Street tacos are one of my "go to" favorites. The house dressing is an amazing salsa vinaigrette.
