My friends and I showed up on a Saturday evening for dinner. It took over twenty mintures to get our drinks. Did they have to brew the iced tea from scratch and pump water out of a nearly dry well by hand? How hard is it to give your customers a glass of water or an iced tea within 20 minutes of the waitress taking your food and beverage order. The beers arrived quickly, but the people that didnt order beer had to literally wait over 20 minutes for their beverages. We even reminded the waitstaff that we still did not receive our drinks. When our food arrived, we did not have silverwear at our table for half the people sitting there. It took constant reminders to the waitstaff until our food was cold to get knives and forks.

Sunset had its issues before, but they are worse since the renovation. I always get fajitas. They now only fill about half of the cast iron plate. Not even a whole chicken breast for $16. Hardly any onions or peppers either. Tortillas were hard as if theyd been microwaved too long. You might try steam heat. My mother got a side of guac that we were charged $4 for, and it wasnt great guac at that. And our waiter had to be asked multiple times to bring us the guac and sour cream, then we sat with dirty plates for 15 min. Restaurant was empty. Sorry, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences for me, from start to finish.

This is just a great neighborhood place. I get so tired of "chain" restaurants, this place is homey, friendly, and warm. After living in New Mexico for three years I am a brutal critic of Mexican food, but for a light and breezy East Coast Tex Mex Place in Allentown I am thankful. Is all of their food always stellar, no but I have never had a horror either. I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star only because I can cook Tex Mex better ;)! The out door patio is so lovely, give this gem a try. Keep local businesses alive! P.S. The fries are evil they are so good!

Ordered 2 shot of Jamison...Last 2 of the bottle...Unwritten bar law states I receive the first shot of the new bottle for free... The 2 young bar tenders refused to honor...hence taking away there right to call themselves a real bar... First free shot is a very big deal to someone that beleaves in old school tradition and one of the most fun little wins and I dont believe I could ever drink here again.

If you are planning a party at the Sunset Grille, be sure they record your reservation. Despite a number of phone calls and emails with Andrea King, our reservation was never recorded. Better yet, bypass Andrea entirely and deal with manager Eddie Haupt. He seems to be on top of things. Hes the one Andrea had call me when she didnt want to do it herself, after I called to confirm the reservation.

Id give them a higher rating if they had a different bartender. Hes a bit rude and really unfriendly/aggressive. Ive heard other patrons tell me the same thing the first few times Ive come in and now Ive seen it for myself. The food is great and the rest of the staff are really friendly and attentive. When I visit I just avoid the bar and the barside altogether and its a lot more pleasant.

Nice atmosphere, good food. The menu selection is good and the prices are reasonable. We come together every month as a group for lunch. Sometimes we are 10+, other times only a few. We don’t make reservations. The servers are always friendly! Sometimes service is a little slow, but we are there to enjoy socializing, so it is no big deal. We keep going back!

takes a little longer to get food ready. Though it was my first time, i found a hair uin my food and i was offered a new plate but i also was offered an explanation that no one in the kitchen had that color hair and no discount.

Its a go-to spot. Food: nice tex-mex offerings, the brisket is yummy, kids menu doesnt have many healthy options. Big portions at a very reasonable price. Beer selection is decent. Service: generally good, occasionally very good.

I used to love this place, was going here for years. Ever since the owners split it has continued to go downhill, food and service and continued on the decline as well. I most likely will not be going back anymore,

My wife thinks their well Long Island Iced Tea is better than Applebees, I like the black cherry cider and Margaritas. I enjoy their burgers and patty melts, my wife the Tex Mex food. Never had a bad meal.

The atmosphere is great, service is generally good, and the food has never let us down. The prices are exceptionally reasonable on top of it all. Its an excellent local spot, and one of our favorites.

This place has an odd mix of food. Its a combination of Mexican, tex-mex, and burgers. Nothing about the place really feels Mexican and the food is uninspiring and bland.
