First visit to a Panera Bread restaurant was definitely NOT a good experience. My friend and I went in for a late lunch, around 2:30 so no long lines but in attempting to make an order from an unfamiliar, and not very clear menu -- we both wanted a hot sandwich of some sort-- we were a bit confused as to which sandwich to order. The person taking our order barked questions our way, clearly wishing to just get us the hell through the line and out of her hair. ‘Rushed’ is an understatement. We quickly ordered just to get out of her way. While one sandwich was on plain bread, one was grilled, but neither was prepared according to the menu description. The Bacon Turkey Bravo was missing the bacon. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt was missing the cheese. The floor supervisor’s reaction was a half-hearted “sorry”. Just “sorry”… by now that made three of us. One helpful wait person did ask if we would like butter for our bread, we accepted the offer. She disappeared, we assumed to get butter but she was never seen again. So when another wait person approached our table we requested butter. It was delivered, plunked down on the table by an obviously irritated woman who informed us, “for future reference the butter is next to the lemonade”. Now why didn’t we think of that? Butter and lemonade obviously go together. In place of a gratuity we left a note, “for future reference we tip for service.” If you are looking for even basic service this is not the place. The employees were downright surly. The restaurant was clean, and that is about all I can say good about the experience. The sandwiches were both missing ingredients, and a bit stingy for the price charged. Would I go back? I might try another location, this restaurant needs to have a serious retraining session for its snarky employees. Dine somewhere your patronage is appreciated, the employees are friendly and the food as described. Panera Springfield isn’t that place.

I give Panera 3 stars because the food on its own is pretty great. I absolutely LOVE the Autumn Squash soup. That said, I have to agree with some of the other reviews in that the customer services is somewhat lacking. When dining in, Id say that for the most part the employees are fairly helpful in addressing any issues we may have. Ordering via the drive through is a different story though. Our order has been processed incorrectly about 75% of the time (weve used the drive through roughly 10 times) where items have been missing or completely different from what we had ordered. They were different from our receipt as well. I understand that they get busy but its always a bummer to get home and see that what you thought you got was different from what you actually received. Its still a newish restaurant so, hopefully, theyll work out the kinks in the near future.

When Panera first opened the service and quality of food was very good. Lately, it has been not so good. During the recent snow/ice period, my husband went to pick up dinner for our family. He got Pick Twos for three of us. I ordered a salad and a sandwich but did not get my sandwich and my salad did not even fill the container half way. My husband and daughter got no croutons for their soup and we only got two out of three baguette pieces. I called and spoke to the manager who was apologetic saying they were working on consistency and since we were not willing to go back at that time, he said he would send some vouchers for free food. He took my address but it is now 2 weeks later and havve received nothing.

The soup and pastries are pretty good! Sadly, a great majority of the time that we come in, theyre out of bread bowls. We usually come in around 3 or 4 pm, so youd expect that with another 5-6 hours left of the day they would have more bread bowls. Nope. Always out. Once we had ordered bread bowls and it was after we had paid extra for said bread bowls that we were informed they were out. Well, okay, maybe we can get our money back? Nope. We were given two extra pieces of baguette. Thats it. Now, I usually only go for their pastries. The rest of the menu feels (and tastes) like a waste of time. :(

We came in on Sunday to get a bread bowl and they were out. We ended up spending spending 50.00 bucks for food that took 5 minutes to make. The "Alfredo" tasted frozen and watered down. The ceaser salad tasted like seafood and then they said since we ordered sprite we could have free potato chips and since we ordered something else we could get some cheap pastries. It was confusing, expensive and disgusting. I will never go to any Panera again. I will definitely stick to Olive Garden for good food and better prices and service.

Stopped in a few days ago to give their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte a try. Going in I knew itd be pretty sweet, so upon ordering I instructed the lady over the drive-thru intercom to add half the sweetness they normally put in. I took two sips and I couldnt drink another drop it was UNBELIEVABLY SWEET. It tasted SO sweet that instead of cutting the sugar to half, they mustve quadrupled its sweetness!!! I was so bummed out, but it was a lesson learned. I hate Starbucks, but it had me wishing Id gone there instead :/

Food is outstanding, healthy, healthy , healthy . So far it is my favorite place to eat out because I feel good about the clean delicious no preservatives added choices they have, and cozying up to the fireplace with a hot cup of tea. Organic as well. With so many unhealthy places to go , Im so very happy I no longer have to settle for the type of food I would rather not subject my mind and body too. Im a big fan, can you tell.

I placed my order for rapid pickup a couple hours in advance, and when I got there, there was a large line for pickup, because the place was packed. I only waited a couple minutes for my food, which they apologized profusely for, and they were out of broccoli cheddar soup so they gave me a large Mac n cheese instead. They also gave me a free muffin and they were super nice! I really appreciated their kind treatment. Thank you!!

Ok place. Been to better Pages as. Mainly just open tables and only very cute booths. One day they were almost out of all breads and wait was very long after ordering. Went back next day and got my coffee in a to go cup rather than a mug when I already told then that I will stay. Service however was quicker. Food is good and cant complain there.

Ive never understood the hype of this place. Its basic sandwiches and soup....but they charge you an arm and a leg and hoestly why have a pick two or anything if you just charge for every single item anyways. I got half a turkey sandwich and a tiny cup of mac and cheese...paid over $10....ridiculous and i dont understand why its still popular.
