Absolutely deplorable. I really hate to write a negative review about a family run business, but this place has ZERO standards for expiration dates. I went in to grab a Naked juice a few months ago, but noticed it expired in January. This was in April... Gross. Anyways, I pointed it out to the owner Tony, who then emerged from the back with a new case of juices... which were ALSO EXPIRED!! I was flabbergasted. I told him I wont make a big deal out of it, but if I return and the juice is still rotten, I would report him to Oegon health board. Well, I finally came back after another month. Tony has new juices that arent expired BUT the old ones are STILL ON THE SHELF and theyre ON SALE... Alsham Market would rather risk you getting sick, over taking a loss from throwing out expired product. If the stuff on the shelf is this old, I cant even imagine how many corners are being cut in the restaurant. Do yourself a favor. Dont consume anything from here, unless its for a bag of chips or candy etc. Nothing perishable! Oh - side note, I called to speak to Tony personally about this on the phone because I didnt want to embarrass him in front of customers I was very civil, but then I was cussed out by his wife on the phone. Completely uncalled for.

I dropped by the Alsham Restaurant on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I saw they had a market underneath, but didnt know that not only do they have a lovely mom and pops convenience store below, but they also have a cozy little restaurant area upstairs with freshly made delicious Mediterranean food! I had some Lamb Shwarma and it was truly some of the best Ive ever had. The lamb was cooked to perfection and it was served with a side of fries that were FANtastic. I could tell they were made from scratch and not just thawed out in a back room which is a nice change from the norm. Our server Tony (who, turns out, is also the owner) was the best too. He recommended us items, showed us around the shop, he even took a picture for me and my date! After our meal he asked about desert and when we unfortunately denied, he let us try a balaclava sample and now I might have to go back just for some of their balaclava! All in all it was a wonderful experience that Id recommend to anyone and everyone in Salem.

The food is okay, not great. I would give 3 stars for the food. Unfortunately the man we were ordering from was very pushy about ordering more. For each item we ordered, we endured a short speech about how we needed to buy more. He was pushy about buying dessert too. It was pretty annoying, particularly because the food just wasnt that great.

My mom and I went here for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The food is absolutely delicious! In fact, my husband and I are going here today with some friends from out of town, for lunch. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you for such great service and good food.

Great gyros. The lamb is the best, and is worth the extra cost. Get the lunch special and you can save a few bucks while still getting fries and a drink. The little restaurant seating area up above is quiet, and the waitresses are all polite and friendly.
