I normally love el pique. Today I ordered a jr cheese and pinto for my son and a taquito meal for myself. I got home and gave my son one taquito and was a little over half way thru my first taquito when I hit a bone. I added a photo above. I called to let them know and they said I can bring in and get another meal or a refund but that the chicken doesnt have bones.. its clearly a bone piece and Im like 89% sure I chipped my tooth. I am pretty disappointed as we were getting food here once a month the last five months, but it looks like that wont be happening...just glad it was me and not my toddler.

Updated; Its really hard to get good Mexican food in Oregon. its not a place where you can sit down and have chips and salsa before your meal its a takeout place, they have 9 small tables and plastic forks. Its small, welcoming, crowded and its in Springfield and those things dont usually go together. Ive eaten here many times now and I really like it, everything is fresh and worth your time and money, prices are very reasonable and they have COFFEE :) also, I like the almond joy with a bacon omelet. The people are nice and they keep the place clean.

I rarely take time to write reviews of places I like. In this case I will make an exception. This is some of the best food I have found since moving from Texas. I live in Portland, but every time I am near this establishment I make time to eat. I have only tried a few menu items, but they have all been excellent. If you get a chance try the steak burrito, your belly will be happy!

Great homemade tortillas, taste like none others which Ive had at other Mexican restaurants, flavor is exceptionally good. Their red hot chile sauce is likewise amazing, goes great on chips or probably anything, I would like to get the recipe.

I visited twice and enjoyed the visit both times. I got the 2 Enchiladas Combo Plate, carnitas for the meat. The food, service and price are great. My only recommendation for improvement is to upgrade the utensils from plastic to metal.

Great place, small, clean, owners are manager/cook/ servers .. a family place! They work very hard to fix the food just as you like it! Good food and good pricing .. what else could you want? We will keep going back.

Awesome food, seriously anything on the menu is good. Great portion size, service is fast and friendly. They even have a drive through and espresso. And the coffee is fantastic. A must if you like Mexican food.
