As Salem coffee shops go, more has been tried in this town than most. There is a small stretch of Mission Street where you can get just about anything with your morning coffee, Gas, Brotherly Love, even Breast shot’s, but when it comes to a consistently good cup of coffee I haven’t found a better one between here and Portland than Coffee in Motion (2420 Mission Street Southeast, Salem, OR 97302-1119) . Not only do they advertise the worlds biggest Mocha (44oz) and options for the kind of Chi you might want but a cool, personable owner who’s always been there when I stop. The Bagel sandwiches are Awesome, prices are good and it’s housed in an old English Double-decker Bus. Oh yeah, and my Salem friends all have coupons…

Watched an Employee come in from a smoke break and she went straight to making coffee did not wash her hands. (She was helping the customer on the other window while talking on her phone the entire time) customer service here is not very good!! I order the same exact drink every time I go there, sometimes its amazing other times the shots have been sitting and make the iced latte I order taste AWFUL!! ALL Employees need consistent training on basic latte recipes.

we have been going to coffee in motion for about 10 years. their northwest roasted coffee beans makes great coffee. best service, yummy treats, large variety of flavors and all kinds of milks, delicious energy smoothies, they will ice anything you want, great deals on prepaid coffee cards. tip-top best value by far. the Barista staff is friendly and courteous; its one of those places you actually see the owner working it ....... and open 24 -7.. highly recommend.

I am a bit confused by your hours at the bus location. The last 3 times I have been there (including 2:15 pm today) the open sign is lit but there is no one there to help me... I am not one to complain as I work in customer service myself but I am wondering if there is a reason for this? I waited 5-10 minutes before I had to leave because I only have a half an hour for lunch. Sadly I am doubting I will try to come by again.

Coffee In Motion has been the best way to brighten my days through a miserable divorce and a new job. The coffee is consistently good, the food is always yummy and its generally a treat to interact with the employees. If you want good, reliable coffee in an efficient manner make a stop by the bus - you wont be disappointed!

Ordered a latte and a mocha. The prices were decent and the staff friendly. However the coffee tasted like old coffee that was left in the hospital waiting room for a day or two. And the mocha tasted like water, Swiss Miss, and (again) old coffee. Not recommended.
