This is a great community hangout spot that offers something for every SF cafe-goer. It serves and sells its own delicious, balanced, and locally roasted coffee. Its got fresh-pressed juice every morning. It serves satisfying modern American breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to go with your drinks. It even has a select wine menu. And its spacious, with seating indoors as well as out. Theres soft couches as well as stools and wooden chairs. The wifi is strong and the outlets abundant. And the music is the proper volume and theme to serve as ambient sound for your conversations. Someone likened the decor to the inside of an Apple store, and you might see why. This is one location of several for Coffee Bar, and their largest. Go early to grab one of the cushy seats upstairs underneath the giant wall speaker.

The Coffee Bar is as much coffee shop as it is work space. But heres what you need to know before you go... 1. Amazing coffee and espresso drinks which includes one of the best vanilla lattes youll ever drink. Do avoid the cold brew, its not the best. 2. Great food, I mean really good food. The oatmeal is amazing, the burritos are just as good along with a full menu. Were not talking just pastries, which by the way are really good. 3. It is the Citys best work space. Plugs, plenty of seating and the option for just a few dollars to buy 100 Mbps internet service. You can also use the free version as well. 4. They actually have table service. 5. You can find free parking in the neighborhood, but youll have to work for it.

This place is great. Great coffee, great service and great atmosphere, in a newly gentrified, urban kind of way where wood meets steel meets cool photography in an open 2-story loft layout. Ive had a variety of sandwiches and salads here, all solidly good. I love their Turbinado sugar concoctions... mmm.. Im definitely a coffee junkie, my legal addiction, and coffee bar has a relaxed yet intense vibe if you know what I mean... like if Bob Marley and a hipster startup tech nerd had a child... hahaha... I guess youll just have to go there to see what Im talking about. Extra kudos to the cute dogs that frequent the place... Teddy Bear Pomeranian, Im hoping to run into you again... we had a moment...

This review is purely based on the wi-fi of Coffee Bar. I was there for a good two hours and during that time i had maybe 15 minutes of decent internet. On my phone, computer, and girlfriends computer that connection kept dropping and the signal was atrocious. I only see two access points which is not nearly enough for the 35+ people with easily 70 devices. Coffee bar, please get more routers to support the number of devices trying to connect to your network, and please boost the signals power above the -55 dBm it is currently at or change the wifi channel as your signal is being drowned out by all the noise on channel one. Coffee and tea are good.

Great location with ample amounts of energy plugs, space and awesome coffee! Ive had the pleasure to visit all three locations in SF. This location is great to study, work or enjoy your coffee. I love their caramel latte!!! Their havana latte is highly raved about and their Vietnamese coffee isnt bad. Some days I go for their black coffee and love every experience. I love how every time I receive my coffee, I can always drink it without the hesitation that itll be too hot for me. Its always at the right temperature and they even do their spin on latte art. This is by far my favorite coffee shop in SF!

Eh. Went in once for a couchsurfing meeting. I am so glad they moved over to cafe royale for the regular meeting place. I am not a fan of the Coffee Bar WHATSOEVER. First its hard to even find the place. Secondly, didnt like the unfriendly looks I was being given by the staff when I decided only to order a soft drink. The upstairs area is spacious and beautiful, but that wasnt enough to make up for the atmosphere of attitude there. Plus the place closes WAY too early and our group always had to find somewhere else to go afterwards. I dont think Ill be going back unless I have a specific reason to do so.

Parking can be a little tough in this area, but we meet friends here. Its a great neighborhood joint. I have to say I love the apple pastry here, sometimes they dont have it, which can be disappointing, but they have other great pastries. Dont forget to grab a cup of coffee, chai (which is spicy), or veggie/fruit juice. Then grab a table outside and enjoy the sunshine. If youre really hungry order something from the menu, I like the breakfast burrito. Theres seating upstairs which is very open. Theres also free wifi and you see people enjoying their food and working on their laptop.

I tried the Kalifornia salad recommended by the person in line behind me. Pretty-pretty good kale salad, but I think I might ask for less dressing next time. Great lunch sandwich and salad selection. The place is a bit packed with laptop peeps, but they have designated tables for people to use for lunch hour between 12:30p -2:30p which is great because all I needed was to sit down and inhale my kale and go. I like that they have real coffee cups and had a fine espresso with my Charles Chocolates Bourbon Chocolate Cheesecake from across the street. Excellent service too.

Great cafe to get work done! Love their music playlist. From Beatles to alt bands like Modest Mouse. Unique items on the menu like espresso toast, specialty lattes with ingredients like cardamom and black pepper, and Vietnamese iced coffee say what? Food seems pricey for what you get but the drinks are solid. The second floor counter seating attracts the Apple MacBook crowd. Its a bustling cafe with people constantly coming in. Has outdoor seating as well and lots of pre-wrapped sandwiches, salads, juices, for those who want to grab lunch and go.

I have been a patron of Coffee Bar for five years as I work in the vicinity. Today I waited 30min for a sandwich and it was the nail in the coffin for me. To go orders that came in after mine were delivered before me. Over the years I have put up with lost orders, bugs in salad and rude customer service and always gave CB the benefit of the doubt. To be fair there have been some exceptionally great people working there too but as they are quality individuals they seem to leave. Speaking for myself and a fellow colleague, "Never again."

There are plenty of seats at coffee bar, but youll find that it is mostly filled by folks with laptops (myself included occasionally). The place has an industrial feel, which I liked at first but really now just makes this place feel unwelcoming. Feels like you need to be very quiet because 80% of people are plugged in with laptops and earphones. I know they are trying to reduce this by reserving the spacea for lunch eaters between 12-2. The cold brew with horchata is great! Definitely would get that again next time I go there.

Such a great spot off the beaten track. Outside lounge area, upstairs seating, ground floor counter. Get your Mr. Espresso coffee (San Francisco roasting!), grab a sandwich (hot/cold), and squeeze in between the many MacBooks. This place used to be the delivery part of an old warehouse, and it has been redesigned very creatively. My favorite is the Iced Vietnamese Coffee - caffeine buzz on the sweet side. Spacious cafe, great vibe. Who needs that Starbucks across the street?
