The pastrami is awesome! Also had the club sandwich, deviled egg, and pasta salad. The pasta salad and deviled egg were mediocre. Giving the place 3 stars because the prices are insane. $13 for a club that has a small amount of meat or anything else on it. $14 or $15 for the Reuben (cant remember). Dont get me wrong, the sandwiches were nicely proportioned and well made, but $13 is insanely expensive for the amount of food you get. I dont care how local your ingredients are, youre still a deli! Wont be going back because I cant justify the cost. If you dont mind throwing down some cash for a pretty good sandwich that wont entirely fill you up, get the Reuben.

Im so glad I tried this Mississippi neighborhood spot. I was missing out. Ill admit Ive been back 3 times this week- Rueben with house-cured bison pastrami, roasted butternut squash sandwich with goat cheese, wilted kale, and balsamic (probably best vegetarian sandwich Ive ever said), and this morning biscuits with amazing mushroom gravy. You can tell how much has gone into crafting a thoughtful, simple, locally-sourced menu. Deli-style ordering at the counter, with the bonus of a nice selection of beers in the cooler.

Its really great to have a nice sandwich joint back on Mississippi Ave. and this place is amazing. After sampling salami, I was convinced to get the salami sandwich. The staff explained that the salami came from this famous little salumeria in Seattle. With pickles and other vegetables it was perfect. My partner had the chicken salad and loved it. We ate our sandwiches with soup, but the sandwiches were definitely large enough by themselves. All their sandwiches looked really great. They had great coffee and service.

Took 22 minutes to make 3 cold Sandwiches, other people that were there after us waited 30+ for their food. they had 3 staff on, and it wasnt even busy. 5 customers in the restaurant there is NO excuse for food to take that long. as a line cook this was unacceptable. the sandwiches were covered in thick mayonnaise and the BLT has 2-3 strips bacon (very thin). will not be returning. TLDR 30+ wait for food when only 5 people in, poor quality of food.

Substantial improvement in the space vacated by Muddys. Heavy focus on quality and detail is noticeable on competitive Mississippi Ave and with great outdoor tables enabled for summer, it deserves wide popularity and is another real draw to the cluster of amazing in the Fremont-Beech stretch of the Ave being community focused beyond business and beyond the street itself. Bravo.

For the money, I would say that this place rates pretty highly for me. The food quality was excellent and they had mason jars out for water cups. That was a great touch. I really enjoyed my french dip sandwich, but I felt like it ended too soon. Got a side of potato salad and that was a little spendy, but very delicious.

Im eating their "W Beef" sammy RIGHT NOW and its amazing. Everythings always good here. Great addition to the neighborhood, both in spirit and in grub. Do yourself a favor and stop in for bite and/or a brew.

This place is all Oregon! Local meat, produce and local fare. There is a map on the wall to show you were good is sourced. The owner works the cash register and the service is excellent!
