Delicious, normal sandwiches! Lots of options, great quality, large portions! For me, its as much about what East Side doesnt do as it is about what they provide. All the ingredients are fresh; they offer great veggie and vegan fare, as well as low-salt turkey; dont use too much mayo; have bread you can bite through; and you really get what you pay for. The shop itself is small, but the staff were friendly and most people got sandwiches to go, so it all worked out. I highly recommend East Side if youre looking for somewhere to just get a normal sandwich without a lot of fashionable nonsense.

One of my favorite sandwich joints. My friends and I would come here at least once a week and it was consistently great. Super friendly service and wonderful range of offerings. The sandwiches on the menu that are "pre-designed" are delicious. The french dip is a favorite and the pulled pork is intensely delicious (be prepared for a nap afterward). They also have really great hot-dogs (the Chihuahua is superb). You can also assemble your own sandwich from a wide array of bread, condiments, cheese, meat and all the veggies your heart desires. Generous portions too.

Was hankerin for hot dogs on this sunny Saturday and after a quick search, this place popped up. The boyfriend and I ordered hot dogs with various toppings (they have everything!) and these were some of the best hot dogs Ive ever had (they also have Field Roast vegan sausages). Mine came with cheddar cheese and pickles; the bf decided on olives, bacon, pickles, and cheddar cheese. Great place for picky eaters because you can customize hot dogs, sandwiches and salads plus they have all the amazing sides you could ever want.

I popped in here on my way out of town just looking for a quick snack. At the servers suggestion I had the "Field Dip" with a couple changes to make it vegan. It might be the best sandwich Ive ever eaten. It was phenomenal. The full sandwich was huge as well. Alas, I couldnt take the au jus on the plane for the meal sized second half of the sandwich, but even without, it was still very good.

meh. The sandwich was all right, but nowhere near what the reviews would indicate. In fact I wouldnt even rate it average. The service really sucked. Ordered a sandwich on wheat. They were out of wheat. They just made the sandwich on white without telling me until after I paid them. A decent service would have told me BEFORE they made the sandwich.

Large amount of customizations for your sandwich. Although the price is a bit higher than say Subway, the quality and amount ingredients that they put on your sandwich is not comparable to Subway. Possibly one of my favorite places to go to whenever I go for a walk on Lombard. I highly recommend this place if youre a sandwich lover!

This is my first time to Eastside Deli, and it wont be my last. The sandwichs are awesome. I had a 12" rubin, and my wife had a 6" club. Both sandwiches were good portions. Since mine was on DKB I got 2 sandwiches. Left overs!!!! The only thing I wasnt crazy about was the amount of Italian dressing on my wifes club.

Eastside Deli was a lucky find. We stopped in because we were working in the neighborhood and became believers. All ingredients, from the bread, to the meat, and cheese, and staff were soo awesome! Its actually cheaper than fast food. Any time we have a job near one of the locations we go there for lunch.

Love me some Eastside. Great place to create your own signature sandwich. It can be pretty spendy but I never feel like Im getting skimmed on the goods when it comes to my sandwich. Nice people behind the counter and a pleasant tell dinning area both inside and out.

I feel so lucky to live around the block, this place has some of the best sandwiches in Portland, especially for under $10. Great options for any diet, excellent staff, quick... Dont see how anyone could complain. Ive eaten all over the menu but cant pick a favorite

Eastside is one of the best sandwiches in Portland. The specialty sandwiches are all really good, and the vegetarian menu is very impressive. Hotdogs are tasty and cheap alternatives, the pit bull is bomb. Happy Hour deals on draft beer are great too.

Everyone is always super friendly, cozy & clean atmosphere, good price considering the size of the sandwich. Best Sandwich in Oregon for sure and possibly the whole nation! I travel all over the country for work and I have not found a better sandwich!

Love this place! There is one right by my work downtown and I frequent that one a lot. When I moved into the St. Johns area I was happy to see this 2 blocks from my house. I always like the build your own sub, and the deserts are great!

Straight up delicious, and if youre headed there at lunch time you should be prepared for a line. Ive never seen the staff at any speed less than a hustle, theyre just so tasty that it seems like the whole neighborhood is always there.

The sandwich itself was good, but I really do think that it is a bit overpriced for the large size, 14 dollars. The employee claimed that it was huge when I was ordering, and it was definitely big, but not 14 dollars big.

Great food and decent beer prices. If you order a full sandwich be aware as they are big enough for two meals.
