This place is a delicious little hole in the wall with a 70s throw-back-honky-tonk-Twin Peaks-greasy spoon diner vibe. Heard Roger Miller and Johnny Cash during breakfast. Thats simply the atmosphere--the food elevates the Mid Point another level. Its awesome! The eggs tasted so fresh and were a perfect over-easy--chicken-fried steak and gravy--numscoes--and the garlic mash potatoes that have a clever, crispy crust--unique and delish. My husband and his brother started haunting this place for their Monday morning breakfast ritual and will keep going until the place disappears or they do. Watched some Bloody Mary making--generous with the alcohol and lots o veggies stuffed in there. Looking forward to going back for a late lunch and a brew some time. As my husband said, "wont be long before the long line on weekends appears."

Midpoint is such a pleasant surprise, from outside it looks like a bad chain pizza joint, but step in and you are in the sweetest midwest meets portland diner. Big sparkly red seats, too much art on the walls, daily drink specials like the Randy (mountain dew and spiced rum, havent tried it, but i love that it exists) along side a rad two mimosas for 7 dollars deal. And thats before the food comes, which has been fresh and delicious every time. My friends moved in next door and i hope to be coming to Midpoint for years.

Ive been here twice now. Its really great and kind of has at atmosphere that reminds me of Dots. The food and cocktails are great and the service is always fast and friendly. Breakfast all day! One of the best things about this place is the hash-browns. Theyre perfectly crispy. Im pretty sure all other hash browns should be judged against these as the gold standard of hash brown awesomeness.

Just had one of the tastiest breakfasts in Portland, ever. Coffee could have been a tad stronger and for that Id give 4.5 stars if this allowed it. Music choice was killer: Marcia Griffiths version of "Dont Let Me Down" in the mix? Rad.

Dont be dissuaded by the strip mall exterior. Youll forget all about it once youre inside. The Midpoint is a great breakfast joint: great coffee, hearty food, and friendly staff.
