We love McMenamins! Unfortunately, the outdoor smoking section isnt seperated enough. We wanted to sit outside with our dogs and played musical chairs for a bit trying to escape cigarette smoke. We are ex smokers (smoking is for the young and dumb) and eventually had to put our dogs back in the van and enjoy our beer indoors. We highly recommend that McMenamins do away with the "smoking" section and make it a pleasant experience for all or at least make cigarette smoking located in the parking lot. Soon, "smoking" will soon be an obsolete nuisance. Love the beer and theme! Well be back and hopefully the "smoking" section will be at least 25 ft away from the building.

Went with my friends Friday night. No lines, no wait, fast service snd we sat al fresco on their nice, uncovered area.They always have their great selection of beers.Weve celebrated many gatherings here...but the food this time was a dissapointment. Being Friday, I got a bowl of Clam Chowder. It was crusty, insipid, lukewarm...I wonder what the Chef would have said if he was served such a thing..!.Just that made me NOT want to order anything else, although I was hungry. We finished our drinks and went elsewhere for some reliable food...If it was my place, I would train the waiters to tell when things are no longer at their prime.

This is potentially one the worst McMenamins that I have ever been to. I have now been there twice and both times the server took over ten minutes to acknowledge my table. Both times the restaurant was nearly empty. Also, the server was exceptionally rude despite no one at my table noting that we had waited. If you enjoy the McMenamins aesthetic and vibe, as I do, please take your money to another McMinamins venue.

A favorite place for us in the first place, tonight was special. Although the pub was very crowded, we were seated promptly and obligingly. Menus and explanations were prompt, drinks provided quickly, and order taken and delivered surprisingly fast. Plus food and drinks were, as usual, first rate. We return here often -- for good reason.

Everything that youve come to expect from a McMenamins establishment. Good brew and decent grub but service on the slower side. The nicest wrinkle in the Raleigh location is that it doesnt tend to be as busy as other McMenamins pubs, so everything is more of a relaxing slow versus frustratingly slow pace.

Terrible! Ended up walking out. Our server brought our menus and of course we needed a few minutes. I guess our sever just wasnt interested because She talked and talked with another group and then helped two more tables. After 20 minutes being ignored we just walked out. Id never come back.

Good pub food and drink. Outdoor seating with a fire pit and indoor seating for large groups and small. Menu specials as well as McMenamin favorites. Service is leisurely and friendly, food is tasty. Known for their hand-crafted beers and historic building renovations.

I really like this McMenamins. Everyone has its own flavor and this one definitely matches the West Slope. Happy hour is gone. You can get some good ales (I like the Ruby) for $3.25 a pint and you can get a burger with fries for $6.00. Not a bad combination.

Cheap, higher quality food, typical McMenamins attitude - There is a way to carry yourself when you busy, and snapping at patrons and then complaining to patrons that they arent getting the service they deserve is because no one is helping them, is not the way.

McMenamins always offers great food, warm welcome atmosphere, and excellent service. The west slope McMenamins is no exception. Whether its the middle of the day or late at night the food is always great and I always feel like the waiter is my best friend

Went for lunch. Took forever! A quick lunch turned into 1&1/2hr not including the time to get my card back after paying. They are friendly and the food is great but if you are trying to foot a lunch in on a hour lunch break try somewhere else.

Slow service despite the restaurant being almost empty. Server totally spaced an entire entree, and then it was hastily and badly made. You cant call your horrible chicken peanut soup a soup of the day if its all youve served for years!

McMenamins Raleigh Hills is one of the smaller of the McMenamins. Just as delightful, and it seems to only have a staff of 2-3 whenever I come in which is impressive.
