Food is great. The first time I went in here I wouldve given 10s across the board. The younger lady that buses and serves is very nice, but not the rest of the staff. After my second visit the older woman who works there was very short, and the change we got back from paying forced us to leave a big tip (wouldve been the fair amount but no one would come back to our table for change until we left). Not only that but a worker in the back STOLE MY CELL PHONE and LIED about it! I wanted to speak with him, but he was in the back and the staff just kept saying in very loud tones "He doesnt have your phone". Finally they made him come around the back and give it to us, but not in a clear way. Just pointing to the door saying "Out!" thinking we were being asked to leave, noticed he was there with my phone. Such an unprofessional staff.

We dine out for the food obviously but also for the service. I have received better service from a fast food joint than this place. The mentality was lets try to feed as many people during the lunch hour so that we can go home and catch Oprah. They cut ever corner during the service. Not thoroughly cleaning the tables, not bothering to refill your glass of water, throwing cheap napkins and chopsticks across the table and pouncing at the very sight of a wallet. Low class service for what could be a decent place to dine. If you like no service, and impolite waitresses I highly recommend this place. If not you are better off at the McDonalds down the street, they have standards at least.

They are a local and family owned establishment offering fresh sushi. After visiting this establishment, weve never looked back after being enamored by the sensational service and delicious food. The rolls are hands down their speciality. Our favorites? Sunset, Mio, Alaska and the spicy califoria hand roll. I promise that you will not be dissapointed. Enjoy!

The lady here is very to the point, which is not my favorite. But the man I very friendly and the food is AMAZING. I have yet to get anything here that isnt just absolutely fabulous. It all tastes very fresh and comes out quickly. Great dinner combo deal with excellent Miso and teriyaki chicken.

This place is great, not many chefs are behind the counter that they own. As a customer I value you that immensely. Not to mention playing actual taiko drums in the back ground, shows dedication to the experience. Only 4 stars cause I want a good reason to go back. Thanks!

Meh... Ive had way better sushi and the service here is terrible. I almost had no choice but to walk out due to lack of service and being on a time crunch. Took about an hour and a half to get a couple of rolls and sake. Plus the rolls could barely stay together. Never again.

Awesome miso soup. I lived in Japan, so Im a bit of a snob. Delicious vegetable sushi rolls. Their rice is perfect every time. Everything together is a beautiful little party wrapped in seaweed! Great customer service by the sushiya San. He always remembers kid chopsticks, too!

I just left the restaurant because of the yelling and slamming of items by the chef. I have ptsd and was brought to tears with his outbursts. I didnt finish eating and had by boyfriend stay in and pay. Very unprofessional and I will not be back.

This is an exceptionally high quality sushi restaurant. Ignore the location in a strip mall. They won awards and recognition by Portland newspapers for their excellent sushi. One of the best yellowfin tuna spots super fresh food.

Was the absolute best. I was amazed how good it was and there amazingly nice oh and the decor is nice and somewhat relaxed but the servers and the sushi "chef" where so nice to emphasize it.

I take my family here, which include 4 & 7 year old boys and we love it! The staff is always friendly and take care of us well. Weve eaten most of whats on the menu and its always good.

Yes, a sushi place in a strip mall is questionable but stop over thinking and just go in! The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. Absolutely the best sushi I have had in Oregon.
