03/04/17: 3.0 out 5 - Today was a disappointment. The service was attentive but par at best. The problem was that things were forgotten from our order and we were still charged for it. The food was okay. The problem here was that ingredients of the items ordered didnt match the description on the menu. As patrons we should have been informed about it. The best part of the meal was the coffee. Whether we go back is to be determined. I am hopeful for this place though, so I will see. 01/22/17: 4.0 out 5 - Came here for brunch in support of Portlands small eatery businesses post- on of Portlands biggest Winter Storm. Bread and Honey Cafe seemed small from the outside, but as you go in, it actually is a decent size. You have the option of counter service or table service. Staff are nice people and out waiter was very friendly, informative, and attentive with our table. The interior was clean with clean bathrooms, so obvious the staff takes pride in the place. The food, at first, seemed like small portion sizes, but it was actually the right portions. We felt satiated after finishing the meal not only because of the portion size but also because the food was tasty. Bread and Honey is somewhat new, but Id come back with my friends. So try this place out once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

Holy Galette! Went in to check out the hype for this much anticipated cafe from Chefs Walden and Rhodes. Having judged food for MasterChef all over the country for the past 6 years, I will say that the galettes, caeser salad and calzone were all to die for. Yummy savory pastries are baked fresh daily in house. Staff greets with a smile and the location is perfect for the recently booming neighborhood. In addition to the obligatory coffee and tea, they also have a decent selection of beer and wine. Do yourself a favor and pop in for a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch before the Portland foodies find out how good this gem of a cafe is!

A hidden treasure. The servers are friendly and helpful, even bringing a menu to the table and taking my order there since I dont walk easily. The kolaches were very good. They would have been better heated and we will ask next time. I had the tarragon chicken panini. The bread was nicely crisp and the filling was tasty. We got a beet and berry salad. It was good, a bit more acid in the dressing would have brightened it. A good first visit. Well be back.

Why, oh why, does all the food have to be a sooo delicious?! Love this spot! The personal quiche & pot pies are amazing & the gf peanut butter cookie makes you nostalgic for home. Dont forget to go for brunch on the weekend. Be quick, while this place is new, or Im guessing there will be a line soon. Counter service is great for the weekdays with table service for brunch. Place looked awesome inside and I was really excited to try out the new business. The girl working seemed disinterested, and I guess their method of heating up eggs is with the microwave? My quiche was disgusting and soggy. Definitely a bummer and I dont plan to come back unless I hear they get a different food heating method. Nobody wants microwaved eggs.

I almost hate to let you know about this lovely little hidden gem, because its nice to have a Sunday breakfast spot thats not mobbed. But, its wonderful and healthy food with nice specials. Its tucked between Williams and Vancouver in a little spot with just a few outside tables (on the Vancouver Ave side) and not much visibility. Its worth finding.

Had a delicious breakfast sandwich -fried egg, arugula, tomato and added bacon on a very tasty English muffin. Nice place, interior is very attractive. It can be hard to see the business is there due to a recessed store front. Service was very friendly, and we got our food in good time.

Super friendly staff. They were running real busy that morning, so they gave us free pastries while we waited. Breakfast is nice; pastries are better. They also have day-old pastries that you can get for just a dollar each. Would certainly go back.

Friendly, sit down service for a sun morning and a more calm environment. Re Greek scramble, the sweet pepper was nicely balanced with the cheese, and not overpower the egg. Muffin is good too. Veggie hash is a healthy mix of tasty ingredients.

Overview: Friendly staff, well priced, tasty well sized portions, great ambiance. Nice place to come and share a meal, work, or just grab coffee. Clean bathrooms. A great all around cafe. One of my favorite places in Portland.
