I had never had Thai food prior to having Thai Country Restaurants food, and never had the desire to try Thai food. The main reason for my hesitation is because Im allergic to coconut, and Thai food is notorious for having coconut in its food. Well, my husband brought home a chicken pad Thai platter, which doesnt contain coconut, for me to try. My taste buds were in heaven! And, my mouth was angry that I had not tried this before. My Thai food-loving friends think that this restaurant has the best Thai food in the Willamette Valley and greater Portland area.

Thai Country is great! The people are friendly, the restaurant is well lit (with a big picture window overlooking the street), and the food is affordable. My partner and I go there 1-2x per month, and I can say I have never had a bad meal...when eating at the restaurant. I read an earlier review that was less than glowing when they ordered carry-out. This has been my experience as well. For some reason the quality sometimes drops when ordering to go, which is why I only gave them four stars. Eat in the restaurant and enjoy.

Very slow service. I sat there for a good 10 minutes before anyone even bothered to say hello. The restaurant was less than half full. The food was ok, but they messed up my order and it was pretty bland for Thai food. Relatively expensive, although it was the dinner menu. Terrible parking, but that seemed to be the case all along 3rd Street. Was not handed a check or told I needed to go to the counter to pay when finished..... So I sat there confused for several minutes until I got irritated and figured it out.

So far Ive only had the Pad Thai and the Pad Kee Mao (both twice), and each time weve gone the food has been fairly good (the latter better than the former in my opinion), but there seems to be an issue with the spice scale. Once I ordered medium and got no spice at all, and another time I ordered mild and it was very spicy. If youre not going to respect spice level requests, dont take them. I havent had this issue with any other Thai restaurant so I dont think Im messing up my orders.

Surprisingly good for this town. In a place like McMinnville, you dont expect good Thai food, but this was fairly authentic. I went for lunch with a large group of peope, and everyone was satisfied. The curries were spicy and flavorful, the pad thai was properly prepared (hard to find sometimes). Service was quick and friendly-- we ordered tea and soups with lunch and it was pleasant. Also, if you like big pieces of fried calamari, you cant beat this place for size.

It has amazing food, truly special original dishes that you know are made fresh to order. Its always a great experience, as well as great customer service! Ive always been asked sincere questions that show; the employees/staff always remember returning customers and genuinely care about you. -I even see the original owner from time to time, buying grocery at the local food store. *Always a pleasure to experience another culture and their cuisines!

This is what it is. I like Thai food, lets see how it tastes. Beef Pad Thai to me seemed like it was a small portion compared to other portions I get at Thai restaurant. Food quality was good, I enjoyed it, next time I would come and ask for extra portion. Salad rolls where good as well. Visit date 8.1.17 During lunch 12:00, was lots of people

This place is excellent! Gorgeous decor and a wonderful atmosphere. The curry is some of the best Ive ever had, it could be spiceyer but its so good. The price you just cant beat, it was a wonderful filling meal for under $10. The mango juice there is like a pureed mango! Its so good! Everything about this place is perfect.

The service was VERY fast even though there was a fare amount of people dining. Everybody was very friendly/polite and the food was delicious! Ive eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants, and really enjoyed this one. I was just driving through town and if I come by again, I will stop in again!

Excellent Thai food for such a small community. They seem to use authentic spices and ingredients that match or surpass the finest (more expensive) Thai establishments Ive eaten in around the country. Service is good, place is clean, food is excellent. Cant ask for more!

Hands-down the best Thai food I have ever had. Every Thai restaurant I go to, I find myself comparing to this one. They even close the restaurant for a month each year while they all go back to Thailand for a month each year.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Oregon. Very popular at lunch. The appetizer soup at lunch is one of the best tasting things ever. The chef spices things up... if you like medium then order mild!

Delicious, well priced Thai food with lovely staff. My favorite place for Thai food anywhere. Cashew Chicken is to die for, and you get a wonderful warming cup of hot and sour soup with your order.

One of our favorite places in McMinnville. Dont go often enough. They are busy all the time and that should say something too. Been here as long as I have been in McMinnville.

One of the best places to go to. Best Pad-Se-Ew Ive ever had. On the other hand, the Pad Thai is alright but Ive had better. Very friendly staff and good food. No complaints.

Their health inspection grade is really low. It also smells dirty in there. The bathroom is gross. You know when the bathroom is dirty the kitchen is dirtier.

Good thai food. Had the Pad Khing (fried ginger) stir fry. A little salty but a very flavorful kick in the taste buds. Think i found a new favorite dish.

I had yellow curry and it rocked. Ive tried many Thai restaurants around Hillsboro and this one beats them all in my opinion. I plan to return very soon.

The food was good, didn’t look like much but half of it filled me up. Had the teriyaki chicken. Price seemed a little high for one plate but it was good.

Looks good so far. About to try the red pineapple curry and the Tom Ka. Service is excellent, polite and fast. Clean environment. Bar is well stocked.
