Most Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa. So does this one. The chips are right out of bag and salsa is an embarrassment to the Mexican cuisine. Enchilada was bland as can be with tons of tomato paste. Carne asada that my husband ordered was "dry and tasteless" according to my husband. And HE is not a picky eater. He took a bite from my enchiladas and started shaking his head in no as he politely swallowed the food with his eyes closed. Oh yeah.. They play live music here. For a place as big as Jack in the box, they play instruments full blast with no mercy on your hearing. I have lost few hairs in my ear, I am sure, with the high decibel noise. Its reasonably-priced but.. Dont waste your money here.

The rustic chairs and decoration in this restaurant make you feel as if you were into someones ranch back in mexico. Their aguas frescas are amazing, they offer horchata (personal favorite), jamaica(hibiscus) and tamarindo(tamarind). Their quesadillas on the appetizer menu are to die for you should get 2 or 3 if you eat a lot as a main dish because they are that good. I love the chicharron and pollo. Food is amazing but they are a little bit slow service wise if you are in a rush you should eat in, they also do take out.

Im gonna give this place only one star for false advertising drove here from Portland to bring my date for dinner and live mariachi but there is no mariachi all I see is 3 guys dressed in mariachi costume having drinks and tacos they never played. I gotta say tho the food is good friendly staff and good price there is no wait time to be sited because the place is empty I wont recommend this place if you are expecting to see live mariachi.

Place looks run down from the outside, employees have to practice handling food in a clean manner (eg use gloves when touching food after handling money ) if they want returning customers.

I like their food but supossely they closing time is at 9 pm, and this sunday i call at 8:50pm to calll in an order but she said it was closed already. No good to closed before time!!
