Im new to Cornelius and decided to check out the local Chinese place. My first time here and I couldnt believe how great the food was. I ordered the lemon chicken and the vegetable egg foo young. Ive eaten at a number of Chinese places(one just yesterday) and generally I would describe the food as mediocre and not bother posting reviews, but not here. The food here is amazing. They have the best lemon chicken Ive ever had. I tend to prefer sweet to vinegary and have had some bad experiences with lemon chicken that is too vinegary, but here it is neither too sweet not too vinegary. Its perfect. It practically melts in your mouth its so amazing. On top of that everyone is nice and the food was delivered fast. I swear it was less than 5 minutes after ordering that I had my food. Its rare that I have such an amazing experience with a restaurant, but I will definitely be coming back.

We arrived at 6 pm and the place was about 3/4 full.with all the bustle we had a server at our table within minutes. The staff were busy, but very efficient. Delivering food, cleaning tables and waiting on customers. The prices were about average, but the food was very good. The vegetables were fresh and the lo mein was wonderful. The sauces were flavorful without being overly sweet. The egg flower soup was marvelous. What made this a 5 star experience however, was the staff. They were excellent. Our water glasses never got empty. Our food was delivered quickly and efficiently. None of the orders came back wrong and everything tasted so GOOD (did I mention how good the food was?) If you like Chinese Food, and youre in the Cornelius area, I would definitely recommend Happy Garden.

I am so excited to have found this restaurant! Dianas Happy Garden is the best Chinese food available in the Portland area -- and its right in my backyard! Ive tried nearly every dish on the menu, and each one has contained fresh, high quality ingredients that are cooked to perfection and taste unbelievably delicious. And theres no MSG!!! Extra bonus!!! I thought that when I left San Franciscos China Town, Id never again experience really good, authentic Chinese food. I was (happily) wrong! Excellent recipes, quick and friendly service, and very reasonable prices. Good job, Happy Garden! Thanks for all your hard work so I can eat well!

I tried the new Panda Express that just opened in Cornelius and realized Id made a big mistake....Americanized "Chinese" food at its worst. A friend told me to go try Happy Garden. Id been by there but never stopped in. So..I gave it a try. Wow! Nice and clean inside and the food was great. Tasty hot and sour soup, and the King Do chicken was spicy and had a really rich flavor. The lady that works there told me the chef makes his own sauces. Service was quick and the food was served hot. It was sbout $1.50-$2 more than Panda express, but waayyy better. Ill be back!

The wife and I ate here for the first time last night. We both were very happy with the service and the food. We will most definitely be going back! Very clean and prompt service. We saw a couple leaving just after we sat down and they were there cleaning the table before the couple had made it out the door. We both really enjoyed the egg flower soup. I had the mandarin beef which was excellent and she enjoyed her orange chicken. We liked how the combo plates even came with an egg roll.

Im visiting from Texas, was starving, and saw this restaurant in the area. Happy Garden is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants with fast and efficient service. Our meal arrived promptly and tasted delicious! The server is sweet and thoughtful, and treated my boyfriend and me like we were regulars. The ambience is simple but cozy, and the meal prices are totally affordable with generous portions (with lots leftover)! I will for sure be back next time Im in town!

We are regulars. I usually stick to my normal fried rice and beef and broccoli but I had the Beef Chefs Special and died and went to heaven. Cant compare handmade to another big chain Chinese place down the street. Small family business and I like it just the way it is. The hot tea and egg foo young I could come back for a simple daily meal. The egg rolls are handmade and packed just enough withat great tasting veggies. This is a must go eat at place!

We used to go here several times a month when it was located in Mt. Angel, and were so sad when it closed. Same fabulous food and great service are once again available in Cornelius. But wherever you are, it is worth the drive if you want authentic, tasty, fresh, quality food in a clean environment. Only the freshest ingredients and everything is made right there from scratch. Want something special - just ask!

The owner is very disrespectful to the young kid who is obviously trying very hard. .... she has scolded him numerous times since we have been sitting here. Food is ...... OK I guess but nothing to write home about. I will never return to this restaurant just for the simple lack of disrespect for employees here. This is actually the second time this has happened with a different employee in front of me!

Not only does this place have great food the customer service is great! Diana who is also the owner is wonderful. She does everything she can to make you feel comfortable. FYI Michael the chef makes amazing General Tsos. I have never had a bad meal here.

So happy that they are now open in their new location! I didnt realize how much I missed it until we ate there again. The variety of amazing dishes just astounds me. Truly a place with something for everyone. Be sure to try the eggplant!

Fantastic food and service!!! I get around quite a bit and am a big fan of Chinese food. This is by far the best I have had. They were very quick as well and had my order out to me in just 10 minutes.

Love this place. Live in Forest Grove, best food, best value for Chinese in the area. Eating in is very clean and great service. Take out fast, hot and ready.
