This place is my favourite! I watched it leave Planet Thai behind and become something even lovelier. Id been hearing for years that people so missed Typhoon, well now we can all be happy for sure!! The atmosphere is really classy and modern, yet ornate and cozy. The staff has always been a delight, Joseph was my most recent waiter and he was very friendly and helpful. He showed great personality and almost read our minds about what to order. Everything is very reasonably priced, being that you get large quantities of very flavourful food, and you will happily take any and all leftovers home! The food is clearly fresh, very aesthetically pleasing, quick to your table, and usually piping hot! The presentation and delivery is very impressive. Ive had a hard time straying away from my beloved curries, but Ive tried various noodle dishes that I absolutely adore. The salad rolls come with an absolutely amazing peanut sauce, and the Thai iced tea is heavenly. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life.. this place would come into serious consideration! Definitely vegetarian friendly, for all us veg heads out there. This is the resatuarant I take all of my friends for dinner, and every single one of them loves it. If you live in the area you MUST check out Siam. I could not rave enough.

What happened today at this place is shocking! I usually go to this restaurant once very week. Every time I ask for vegan Green curry/ red curry dish the waiters would nod their head, say sure and bring me the dish. The truth is most Thai restaurants use the Mae Ploy curry paste. The red and green ones contain Oyster sauce. I did bring this up several times to the waiters and they would immediately say Oh not a problem we will make our custom vegan sause for you! I am allergic to Oyster sause and get severe stomach cramps if I eat it. Today I learnt from another waiter that the curry pastes are premade everyday and they CANNOT make the curry vegan. I realized that I was lied to all along!!! When I mentioned this to the manager he just asked me to leave!! Very impolite rude and unprofessional. I could have just ordered something else if only I was told that yes, they use Mae Ploy paste in the kitchen for the curry. Please dont eat here! We do not know what are the other lies they sell :(

This is my first review. My boyfriend and I went to Siam Lotus for the first time and we are absolutely in love with the place. The menu is a bit huge but each and every item sounded phenomenal! I wish I could have ordered two dinners. The pad thai was delicious. I cant wait to eat my left overs today. Highly recommended the Bangkok night. Its a Thai iced coffee with vodka and whipped cream. To. Die. For. The staff was so awesome and I love the atmosphere and their beautiful salt water aquarium. We will definitely be back. Often.

What a disappointment! The food was just okay but the service was non-existent! My wife and I arrived to a host who was on the phone. He seated us outside as we requested, the whole time still on the phone. We waited for 20 minutes and NO ONE came. Finally we just went inside and sat at the bar. I was really upset to see how the restaurant was empty. Where was all the staff!? Finally my food arrives and it is a quarter chicken. No knife. Had to wait 5 more minutes until the bartendet came back to ask for one. What the heck.

08/01/16: 4.5 out of 5 - I came here for lunch with a few people. At first, I thought this place to be a small eatery, but to my surprise, its an actual restaurant with bar. I kept my order simple. The food was made well with nice plating presentation. The staff were nice and attentive. Nice indoor and outdoor seating area. If you find yourself in the area, or nearby, I would definitely suggest trying this place once and decide for yourself. I keep this place on my list when I am around the area. Enjoy!

Food was pretty tasty. I was there for happy hour. A good happy hour menu with good prices (wouldnt go back for regular hours though, can get pricey for that). My only complaints are that some of the staff could care less being there, and that our sodas were 3.50 each! Not one time did they offer a refill either. Felt kinda ripped off from that sticker shock for a soda. But the food was good, its at a nice location, so Ill probably come back. Ill just upgrade my soda for .50 and get a draft beer...

Fabulous food! Fresh and tasty, we loved it. Location is wonderful, decor is warm and inviting. Really impressed by the staff, friendly, attentive. Overall the menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Dishes came out hot, tasty, and prepared with care. Enjoyed our meal thoroughly, ended with homemade coconut ice cream. Its nice to eat at places where you can tell the food is prepared fresh, that the cooks know what theyre doing, and to be treated well. Well be back for sure!

My most favorite place to get Pad Thai. Very delicious and as spicy as you want it. Ive loved everything else Ive tried on the menu. Friendly and attentive staff that dont forget about you or your drink. Ive ordered out and dined in and have never been disappointed. Sit outside on beautiful days and cool evenings when the roll up for are open or a cozy booth with family or friends.

Great food, fantastic service. The staff is friendly, quick, and they go above and beyond for their patrons. I ordered my meal to go and sat outside for a few minutes since it was nice out and I had some time before needing to go back to work. One of the staff members came outside with a cup of water for me, completely unprompted. The pad thai and yellow curry are both delicious.

Great foods. Great atmosphere . Why cant there be more Asian cuisines with such great customer service ? This is where I take my family, friends and colleagues for lunch or dinner often. Pricing is a little more than a few Thai places I have been to but their portions are more and SO WORTH the difference in quality though. Strongly recommended.

Absolutely loved this place! Great food, delicious drinks, prompt service and Shawndra (who served us), was very friendly and her recommendations were perfect! We were there on a sunny day and sat on the patio and it was very relaxing. Happy hour prices were extremely affordable. Thank you, we definitely be back next time were in Portland!!

I read all the reviews saying how this is the best Thai food people have ever had. I have eaten a *lot* of Thai food over the years, so I was like, "okay, whatever." Well, this place really *was* the best Thai food Ive ever had. Seriously. Only about 40 feet away from the MAX train stop too--it stops right at the edge of their sidewalk.

Absolutely delicious and full of flavour! Came here during their 8pm until close happy hour and sat in the bar area. Everything we chose was delicious and our server Joseph was great and a great ambassador for the restaurant. If only they were near where we lived always as wed definitely eat here often if we could. Good work Siam Lotus! :)
