Du Kuh Bee...wow so, its a complete hole in the wall, right NEXT to another korean restaurant...but dont be fooled, this is the real deal. They handmake noodles right in front of you, and they come out so perfectly chewy and flavorful. Start with the vegetarian noodles (the pork they add in the pork noodles doesnt justify the 2 dollar charge in my eyes) try the baby bok choy, maybe some dumplings..and if your feeling adventurous, I can vouch for the spicy pan fried squid.. All in all, incredible flavors, and very cravable..take a break from the same old chain, and get some good eats right in your backyard..no need to go to portland for authentic korean food! Keep in mind, its a small place so going at prime times is not advised. Take out is usually about 20 minutes, and off times are easy to get in. Get a seat near the kitchen, its worth it!

Ive eaten here before and it was very good. Really good: chicken noodles (large portion), dumplings (lovely). Radish pickles were good, as well as fresh Kimchi. This time we went in, and the dinner was disrupted by a spoiled family, with 3 bratty teen boys in expensive clothes & Justin Beiber hairdo-s. One boy was texting & randomly LOUDLY doing off-key SINGING, like the restaurant was his own Glee bedroom. The wussy Dad, looking too cleancut like a pastor, but trying desperately to have street-cred with his leather Converse shoes, was LOUDLY Ordering the brat to stop texting, which the boy would just smirk & smile and text under the table. Mommy was grossly fawning the brat (apparently a surrogate-boyfriend), snuggled up to him and Loudly giggling at everything he did. We ended up bagging our food up and leaving early.

This is one of worst restaurants I have ever been too. a. Its very crowded and there is stench of cigarette smoke inside especially near the entrance. The smoke from smokers outside enters the restaurant and fills the air. The wait time to be seated is long too. b. None of the waiters know English and they have a hard time understanding what we want. c. I ordered something very simple: Rice with a side of veggies. What I got was fried rice with peas in them. And this, after several minutes of explaining what I wanted. Then waiter says, we dont do what you asked for! Are they telling me that they cannot get me some rice and side of veggies? Ridiculous! d. This place was such a waste of time and money!

Excellent Korean noodles at a decent price! I went in on a Monday night at 5:30pm and was immediately greeted and seated. 2 minutes later my order was taken and I was provided with a two small sides (pickled radish and kimchi, both of which tasted fresh and were of high quality). 5 minutes later my Bulgogi Noodles were served and they were delicious. The noodles were firm, vegtables al dente, and beef was cooked perfectly with great flavor. If your looking for prompt service (at least early on a Monday night), delicious authentic Korean food, and a decent price Du Kah Bee is the place for you!

First bite of the slow-braised pork and my eyes rolled so far up into my head they did a 360° and it felt like my muscles liquified to the same splendid consistentancy the pork had as it melted in my mouth, and my bones turned to the same sublime, sweet, handcrafted material of the noodles, while my mind slowly became one with the universe. The the squid classic is pretty decent too. P.S. One downside: both pork and noodles have been ruined for me forever. P.P.S. Ive never had Psy stare at me unblinkingly as I consume his native cuisine. However, the experience was not unpleasant.

Their house made noodles are delicious! I have given this place 5 stars, but that is based on the food. When you go in you should expect to wait, it is very popular, so you will wait for your table and you will wait for your food, so be patient. In addition to the noodles we had the pork ribs, which were amazing. Just the right amount of spicy and sweet. I left satisfied and full, and will definitely be back for more. I have since been to other Korean places in town to try their noodles and have been disappointed, this is definitely one of the best.

What an authentic korean hole in the wall should be...artisan hand-made noodles from scratch at the time you order, well balanced kim-chee (spice to sour), PERFECT dumplings, excellent service, and an atmosphere that is spartan in a way that screams "the cuisine speaks for itself". I couldnt agree more...best food Ive had in a long time, so impressed in fact that Im practicing pronouncing "Thank you for the delicious meal!" in Korean just so I can tell the chef the next time I visit. Highly recommended.

To be honest I never tried the food. I went in. Wrote my name on the list. Sat down in the two chair waiting area and waited to be seated. Little to my knowledge there was a wide open table (only open table in the restaurant) and I could have been seated immediately but instead as soon as another couple walked in they waved them over to seat them immediately... Incredibly rude. Off of principle alone Im forced to give them one star for poor customer service and I definitely wont visit again.

Ive heard of Du Kuh Bee from multiple circles of friends that love Korean food and was surprised by my friend (at the spur of the moment) to eat here. Lets start off with the basics: 1. College friendly hours. 2. Great portion sizes. 3. Cozy aesthetics without diluting the cultural presence of Korea. 4. The wait time wasnt severe considering that its a Saturday. Overall, the value for price point is excellent and the kimchi was actually good!

100 stars according to my 6 year old daughter. Honestly everything you could want from a good hole in the wall Korean Restaurant. Menu was fully in English, including item description. Hand pulled noodles were excellent. There isnt really a waiting area so put down your name and phone number, hang out in front or in your car, walk the block... The person who one starred it for someone walking in and being seated obviously just cant read.

The best Korean food weve had, and an amazing value for the quality of the food. We had dinner with 4 people for only $40 and had 6 dishes! Weve been about 5 times, and its consistently really good. Can get busy on weekends because its so small, so be prepared to wait. Not good for parties of more than 4 or maybe up to 6 people. You can always go hang out at the excellent Ava Roasteria around the corner if youre on the waiting list.

This is the best reason to come out to the burbs for dinner. One of only a handful of places in the Portland area that makes fresh hand pulled noodles. The texture of the noodles is perfect, soft but not mushy, springy but not rubbery. The dumplings are excellent as well. Theres only a small dining area so be prepared to wait a bit to be seated. You can call in an order for take out, but the cozy atmosphere makes for a fun date too.

Very Very solid. Do yourself a favor and get a plate of noodles. For me, not enough pork in the pork noodles to justify the extra 4 bucks so im just gonna get the vegetarian next time. Dumplings were great, as was the bok choy (huge plate). awesome. Small restaurant, so be prepared to wait at peak times. We went on a saturday night at 8 30 and had a 20 min wait for a table, 30 min for food, and i cant wait to go back!
