Our whole family loved this place. We fed 3 adults and 3 kids for only $70 here and it was super fun. Next time we would order more food to go with it, like a salad or some soup. This was such a unique place to eat. We selected a bbq option, so we got to grill our meat on the table on the built in Japanese grill. This was entertaining for the kids. The meat came with lots of unlimited sides: cucumbers, onions, jalapenos, lettuce, rice, kimchee, potatoes, egg, and 4 or 5 more I dont know the name off. They only negative was when the waitress decided on her own to make some of our meat none spicy. She told us she did this because we had kids with us. Our kids prefer spicy and we do too, so that was a bummer. At no time did we ask her to switch this or complain about this. So, there was no opportunity to for them to do anything about it.

The description and reviews make me suspect ratings foul play. Slow service, drafty under heated room, meat is just OK but not cut up correctly the way it usually is (too big - probably because theyd have to throw the huge chunks of pure fat) the sides have nothing to do with actual Korean bbq sides and condiments. A total joke. Make sure you order all you need at the start because they wont be back! Avoid. For context, I just ate at a similar place in Manhattan that was cheaper and way better. I also have been at many such places in multiple places over the years. This is probably close to the worst of them, especially given the costs.

Air conditioning cranked up. Too cold to find any comfort at the table. Soup was very bland. Salt might help. Two tiny pieces of chicken in a $10.00 bowl with noodles. Overpriced and poor quality. Meat with rice also not flavored. Waitress found some soy and chili sauce and salt to add flavor. Less than 1/8 cup beef, 2 slices of zucchini, and 1/8 cup of slices carrots cost $13.95. The tea was clear and tasted like water. Dont waste your money on this restaurant. Korean food should be a wonderful delight, unless this was perhaps a North Korean restaurant. In which case, carry on.

Always amazing! I moved to Vancouver from Korea in 2015 and this is by far the most authentic Korean food I have had since coming back to the states! Not only the bbq either! The Galbi-tang, Doenjang Jjigae, and SuJeong-Gwa are all just as good as what I used to eat in Peyong-taek and Seoul <3 Ive noticed some reviews complaining about cooking your own food, but really thats a part of the experience for all Korean BBQ, if they cooked it for you it just wouldnt be authentic!

Hands down the best authentic Korean BBQ option in Portland metro. Ive tried all the "Korean BBQs" around town and have had K-BBQ my whole life in Korea, LA, OC, and NYC. Toji has authentic side dishes, true Korean customer service (its had its hiccups in the past), good quality meat, and isnt Americanized. These are the reasons Toji is the best. Others may have one of the four reasons, but you cant get all four under one roof in Portland except for here.

Great food but a bit pricey. The staff was friendly and attentive and the service was great. There was no limit on how much meat you could order but there was in fact a time limit for how long you could stay. The allowed time was an hour and thirty minutes, this of course could be an issue for some but this wasnt really a problem for me. Its a great place to go to but its one of the more pricer Korean barbeque places that Ive been to.

A real novelty experience. Variety of dishes and items makes it fun, meats and sides all tasted great. However, prices feel incredibly inflated for having to cook our own food. Just wait, the next concept theyll introduce is one where we can pay to wash our own dishes. Call ahead and reserve a spot on weekend nights: we were immediately seated at our 730 reservation time, bypassing the 8 or so folks waiting for a table by the door.

반찬은 국적불명 특히 콩나물무침은 진짜 알 수없음. 생갈비 양념갈비 양은 무지막지, 무제한 리필 고기세트도 있는데 배가 큰 서양인들이 선호함. 그냥 대중식당임.

Absolutely incredible. The food was excellent. The meats were tender and perfectly seasoned, and even the Kim Chi was good, which marks my first time ever enjoying the dish. Highly recommended, but make sure you bring your appetite, because the"all you can eat" options only allow 1hr 30mins grill time, and are not cheap.

Great service, four star for sure. The server was nice even the restaurant was busy she also explained the menu with recommendations. It was our first time experiencing Korean food in OR. All of my friends loved the kalbi and bulgogi. We will definitely visit again!! Big fan of Korean food!

Great food. Really fun experience. We paid 85 dollars for 3 people having all you can eat (in 80 mins). I loved cooking my own food. All the meats were great but all the marinated meats were better. The marinades were sweet and were great compliments to the cuts. Would go again

Were from San Antonio Texas and we tried this place out on vacation. We love our Korean food and the places we have in SA but this place was better. Ugh. I hate saying that but it was! Unfortunately our now new fave Korean place is in Portland and we live far far away!

You can feed a large group of people for a reasonable price at Toji. Im not in love with the service here because the two times Ive been they havent had enough waitstaff. The food, however, is amazing. Especially the seafood soups that come with many of the combos.

Beware of the grill Nazi. The server was genuine, but owner was watching us like a hawk, just waiting for us to break one of their ridiculous rules. Food was only okay, especially for the price. Meh. Good one time experience, but I probably wont be back.

Quality of BBQ buffet meats is not so good. You cant have a to-go box for leftovers. There is a penalty for meat leftovers as well. Sometime you dont like meats that are ordered but have to finish them all not to pay the penalty.

The food is not Americanized-Asian.I personally came from the foods original place, South Korea, had feeling that the taste is somewhat even better than ones you would have in my home country. Strongly recommended!!

A bit spendy, but totally worth the trip. Eat all you can and try the bulgogi, its to die for. I have never had to wait more than 5 min for a seat, and the food service is speedy. The kimchi is also good.

We come here all the time. The soups are delicious - try the spicy black cod or the spicy shredded beef brisket. There is a grill at each table where you can cook your own meats and veggies. Great value.

Great place to eat. Side dishes are amazing, and meat platter combos are enough to feed a small group. Service is polite and friendly, but can be a bit slow. Would still recommend for good Korean bbq.

I would give 3.5 stars if it were possible. I thought there tofu soup was really good and actually got a serving to go but i felt like the service was lacking. Probably due to not having enough staff.
