RECOMMENDED TO NEVER GO HERE!!! the only good think here is the set up, dietary restrictions apparently DO NOT MATTER, the chef was to stubborn to come talk to my mom so she could tell him what she was asking for cause maybe they just werent understanding but nope just had to stay in the kitchen being ashamed to show their face then again i would too if i cooked food like that and not trying to be racist but seriously they just threw their employee under the bus (who happened to be american) because she was telling them everything my mom told them and to add fuel to the fire the hostess and the manager just had to walk past our table and give us dirty looks for no reason like seriously did u see a ghost or something cause i know that if they do it again... wait im never going back for crying out loud id rather eat at a restaurant with rats everywhere instead of this place.

We went when they opened the business. We had sushi, hibachi and fried rice. Next time, about 6 months into their business starting, they had such huge pieces of egg in the fried rice, after we asked that they chop it to very small pieces. It looked like scrambled eggs and rice; it was very bland. The last time I went, about 4 months ago, I went alone. They served the salad with nasty old lettuce, when I said the lettuce was bad and asked for a replacement salad, the service became non-existent. When they brought out the entree the chicken was dry and clearly over cooked. I asked to talk to the manager and explained my situation, it wasnt my first time there, and I was shocked at both the product presented and the service, she just made it sound like my fault. I left and will not return.

I have visited Sakana before and had an enjoyable experience dining in. This time ordered sushi takeout and brought it home. Unfortunately, my sushi had an unusual nutty taste (peanut oil?) and since I had dined there before I promptly returned to the restaurant. The waitress insisted she didnt smell anything unusual, but since my husband had also tried and agreed it was unusual, I didnt want to risk finishing my roll nor reordering if they didnt seem to think anything was wrong with the first roll. After all the commotion, I will not be returning to Sakana since there are other comparable sushi restaurants in the area. If you still plan to eat at Sakana, I strongly suggest you dine in so that you dont have any surprises!

Quality was excellent the first couple years it was open. The kitchen staff must have changed in the last year or so, as preparation really seems to have gone down hill. Especially noticeable with battered and fried dishes like sweet and sour, general tsos chicken. They are fried in big daily batches, then re-fried on order which leaves the batter hard and too crunchy and meat dry. The saving graces for this place are the sushi is still really good for the area, along with their decent sized sake and Asian beer menu. Hopefully they can fix the issues in the kitchen and get the quality back in their entree dishes that they had when they first opened.

5 out of the 6 people who dined did not like the taste, texture, or quality of the food, and did not eat much, if any. I had the hibachi which tasted decent, however, I was over charged for my meal (price paid was more than price on menu) and they never brought the soup. The wonton soup was cloudy, and had a strong unpleasant scent. We tried twice to talk to them about what our issues were, and we were not able to get them to understand what problems we were having. If it was not for the company of my dinner companions, I would have considered this one of my worst dining experiences.

From the non descript exterior you would never know what awaits inside. Super clean, beautifully decorated and the friendly knowledgeable staff go out of their way to make your experience an enjoyable one. The menu is large enough to satisfy any palate but small enough as to not be overwhelming. The cost is reasonable. The cuisine is super fresh and the sushi is some of the best Ive ever had. Please help this place stay in business & tell family and friends. You wont regret the experience. We drive 45 mins from home just for this great place. Keep up the good work!

This was the second time we have ordered delivery here. Both time the sushi has been just one step over grocery store quality. This time it was over a hour for our order to arrive and a third of it was missing. Called in to get the order fixed, but they still charged full price. The only thing they did was to give us a credit for free rangoon. Since I dont like rangoon this is less than stellar. From now on we will be going to Fugu sushi. They have a similar price point and far better quality and service.

Wow..I love sushi/sashimi, and this place did everything absolutely perfect. I ordered the Sashimi Dinner with my wife, and it was like the staff went out of their way to make it look perfect. I had to take a picture of it, and felt bad for eating such a beautiful artistic presentation. I wish I knew how to upload the image to this review. Anyway, the food was just as delicious as it looked. The waitresses was really friendly. Good drink options too. I will be coming back again and again.

This is really one of the best places for sushi in Ohio. The rolls and other menu items are equally great. My first time here with the family the restaurant staff was so amazed that my young son was actually eating the sushi and then the sushi chef made him a special desert of artfully cut and decorated fruits. That was during the grand opening. Now after numerous trips here we have never left unsatisfied. If you like sushi or Asian food in general this place is easily worth a visit.

The atmosphere and service was excellent. Other than that, the food was alright. They seemed to do sushi okay, the General Tsos wasnt very good, just kinda tasted like boneless wings with light barbeque sauce, underwhelming. The drink size was super small, and in a restaurant like this you need a big drink. Crab Rangoon was ok, Egg rolls were pretty great to be honest, but as a whole package, its okay. Go in with an open mind and an open wallet if youre considering.

Whether its dine in or delivery everything is hot , fresh , and timely ! Im a consistent orderer of hibachi whether it be the shrimp , steak , or chicken or combinations of any of those as well as an app even though I more times then not find myself not being able to finish all of my food . I have been going to this place for about 3 years now and have not had a bad experience since which is rare for any restaruant .

Excellent sushi, fresh, tasty and very nicely presented. Ambience is good, sitting at the bar gets you the attention from the very attentive sushi chef. Unfortunately, the servers are much less attentive. The sushi chef saw that I was expecting somebody to check on me after I was seated, he told the server to come do her job. But again, excellent sushi, highly recommended for that.
