My hobby is Thai food so when I travel I always seek out Thai restaurants. This place has great potential in many ways. I gave it 3 stars for these reasons: 1) phad Thai was to sweet. Cooked w too much sugar. Old school Thai cooks/ owners more often than not simply do not believe Americans will like truely authentic Thai food which is outdated nonsense....twenty years ago that may be somewhat true but today Americans love authentic Thai food. In fact, the more authentic the better and a little research on restaurants that make it authentic will verify this. HINT: Thai owners please just make it the way they do in Thailand and it will be a hit. Only thing you may have to adjust is the heat. All other ingredients should be kept the same and with the same amounts. 2) chicken did seem a little undone and rubbery as mentioned in other reviews. The meal had great flavor and presentation but way to sweet. 3) decor of restaurant was perfect and I will be back to try several more dishes to see what the rest of the menu is like. Also- as a tip to those seeking authentic Thai food a rule of thumb is... Whenever you see a Thai-Chinese restaurant the owners are typically old school and do not believe a Thai only menu would go over so they mix Thai and Chinese and Americanize the dishes with mundane and overly sweet recipes. I will do a follow up. Thx.

First of all, the guy at the front desk didnt give us a greeting. When seated, the waitress wasnt even kind. They served us a glass of water which tasted like mold or old sink water, so we ordered hot tea, which didnt taste any better. Their menu wasnt even traditional Thai food, it contained lots of Chinese style cuisines. The appetizer we ordered tasted like it was previously frozen and heated in a microwave. We were tempted to leave, but decided to stay, thinking the main food would taste better. We were wrong. We ordered from the dinner menu, which was a little pricey, and got two different dishes. One was a Curry and the other was chicken and broccoli. We asked for pork in our curry but instead got chicken. The dish was very small, like a child sized meal for $12. The curry had too much onion, not enough curry paste and was mixed with some other oil based liquid and water. Cheap style curry. The chicken and broccoli had too much oyster sauce and tasted very salty. The brown rice was the cheap brand you can buy at the dollar store. Overall I would not recommend people going to this place unless they want to waste their money. You would have better luck just ordering from McDonalds. Thank you.

I visited this restaurant on a weeknight and when I was seated I was one of maybe 4 tables. From the moment I walked in the door I was completely dissatisfied with the service. The man who sat me (who was also our waiter) was rude, short, and just completely unpleasant in everyway. As soon as my friends joined me he walked up and said "you ready to order". I looked up and said "they just sat down" to which he just turned and walked off. When I asked questions about the menu (this being my first visit) he seemed irritated and impatient. I am assuming he must be part owner or the relative of one because I was in awe of his rudeness. As far as the food went it was fine but nothing fantastic and for the price I expected a little bit more. I had green curry with squid and though the flavor was good the squid were overcooked and rubbery. My friends both had the Pad Thai which was fine but nothing spectacular. I will never return mainly because of the horrible service and would definitely not recommend it to anybody else.

I came here after reading some of the great reviews to check it out. I was very impressed walking into this place. It is very nice inside and the host was very welcoming. We got sat right away, got drinks ordered right away and had some time to look over the menu and ordered when we were ready. The staff here was very helpful, friendly and was on top of everything. Never had an empty water glass :) I would say the food is very good, but I was at Thai Grille in Westerville for the 1st time also a few weeks ago, and I think the food there was a tad better because it just tasted more fresh and vibrant with flavor. My meal here was very good and I left me feeling quite full. I do look forward to coming back and trying something else off the menu. The have a lot of varietys to choose from.

DISGUSTING!! We go there regularly..usually the food is good..but our experience from yesterday was nothing less than terrible..not only the food was bad(the beans were burnt) but the service..undescribable! The person who served us was soooo goddamn rude!! Before i could place my order she literally thumped my shoulder and angrily said "you?" I was shocked and beyond enraged but i dint say anything as everybody was hungry and i did not want to create a scene. But now i regret for not having alarmed everyone about the incident. Even the manager was impolite. They lack basic etiquette. Nope! Im never going back to this place again and i would not let my friends go to there too. I hope i never experience anything like this..ever! I hate this place!!

The owner of this restaurant takes great pride in both the food and the service. Hes one of the most involved community leaders we have and his restaurant is a reflection of the pride in which he does everything. Great food, great atmosphere, price points that are reasonable and the service is always terrific even when they are very busy. Dont be fooled by the BS reviews that say anything else about this terrific restaurant because they are shills simply trying to divert you to another restaurant in the area. I also love the fact that the restaurant has a mobile site that works and is readable on my Smartphone so we can order in the car and on the go. My kids love the food and so does the wife. When the Queen is happy so is the kingdom.

The food and the service were EXCELLENT. They have a broad selection of Chinese and Thai dishes, and delicate crispy spring rolls. The decor is beautiful, elegant/trendy, and the ambience is very relaxing -- until the bass starts thumping next door. Beautiful restaurant; unfortunate location. If it werent for the bar next door with its smokers standing in front of Chi Thai and the loud band on the patio and the motorcycle tire burnouts, Id readily give Chi Thai a "5." I certainly understand why there are so many take-out orders. Well go back for take-out, but its distressing to think youre going out for an upscale dinner, and find out you could have prepared for a bar brawl instead.

This is my favorite non chain asian restaurant in Columbus! The price is reasonable considering that most of the entrees feed 2 normal size people. If you are a heffer then one entree per person. If your idea of Thai food is Phad Thai then go somewhere else because this restaurant has so much to offer. In response to the other comment about squid being chewy.....it is a chewy product you moron and served traditionally it will have a chewier texture to it. Steve the owner is awesome, the decor is beautiful and the food is great. The service, like all mom and pop asian restaurants is lacking, but hey if you dont like it go to PF Changs. Try it once and you will be hooked!!
