This restaurant is the best! The new owners offer a truly unique experience in Knox County-chef-prepared cuisine from a creatively crafted menu that rivals the bigger cities...all well within a small towners budget. Each of the dishes weve tried gets two thumbs up, and were anxious to explore everything on the menu. A nice bar and cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating in the warmer months makes it a great place to socialize. Cant wait to see the exciting new things to come.

First visit since new owners. Pleasantly surprised-food fresh and prices normal for fresh food fixed without cheap fillers, heavy fake sauces, etc. Had chefs recommendation--flat iron steak, au grain potatoes, mixed steamed veggies (freshly cut), balsamic vinegrette reduction, light Gorgonzola sauce... Topped off with fresh peach pie ala mode! Will be back... With friends in tow!

My husband and I love going to Parkside! The servers are always friendly and hospitable, the portions are generous, and the food delicious! Their dinner rolls with honey butter are the best in town. The menu offers something for everyone - steak, burgers, chicken, seafood, pasta, and great appetizers. Give them a try - I bet youll come back time after time!

I ate at The Parkside Restuarant & Tavern in Mount Vernon for lunch today. This was my first time visiting Parkside. I was impressed with the clean setting and option of eating outside. I order the Dijon Turkey Wrap, it was very good! The fries were great as well. I would recommend Parkside Restuarant for anyone for anything from date night to business lunch.

We used to make Parkside a weekly stop until we found a green fly baked into our pizza (I still have the picture). Our waitress was more helpful than the manager. They took the pizza off the bill but the rest of my family lost their appetite, for obvious reasons. I was not impressed with the way the situation was handled. I will not be going back.

Food is not bad but way overpriced. If you like old music with a lot of trumpets and clarinet in it, the atmosphere would be to your liking - if not, it could be quite annoying. Service was pretty good. Will not be going back because of the prices and much of the menu was food with names I dont understand.

We waited about 45 mins for our food. When I received my food it was cold, the waitress did not come back to check anything, finally got a refill on my water when she came back to get our plates. I had a lunch special with water. 7.99…cost 9.06 plus tip. I was very disappointed all around.

This is my favorite Mount Vernon restaurant. The food and staff are wonderful. The prices are good and the portions generous. Enjoyable atmosphere and a great place to take the family. We eat there at least once a month but often more frequently. They never disappoint.

This one of my favorite lunch places. The salads are great and not expensive at all. Its also close to the center of town, which makes it a nice option for those of us the dont work on the west side.

Hamburger ordered well was VERY raw. Philly steak no flavor no cheese and very little veggies long wait for food. Potatoes on steak dinner were like boiled mush. I would not recommend.
