Food is OK but nothing to write home about. Pricing is reasonable ( my gyro and fries was $7.25) It is a small establishment with minimal decor the feeling of a diner, not too much character in the atmosphere. The owner (I suppose) however has quite a bit of character. While waiting for food I had to sit and listen to her bark orders and treat her employees rudely. When I received my food I asked for a side of mayonnaise. A few moments later the owner (I presume) had rude things to say about mayonnaise (presumably when she heard I asked for a side of it) very loudly to be heard across the entire establishment. So for moderate tasting food for a somewhat reasonable price you will get to eat your lunch with unpleasant commentary. Hardly worth the atmosphere.

We dipped into here when our plans for brunch elsewhere fell through. Its a modest place but the food and service were both great. Prices were very fair. I got a biscuit with my french toast and highly recommend it. This is a great place to have in your back pocket if your risk of the normal hubub Asheville has to offer.

Locals call it "The Med." Great diner atmosphere. A place with real white tile wall character. Quick lunches at a great price. One of the few remaining hold outs from the days when Ashevilles downtown emptied out after 5:00. We can only hope that it will resist being sterilized and gentrified.

Everyone that works here is awesome! I know that if I have 20 minutes till I have to be at work 2 blocks away I can run in, order some eggs, and still make it to work on time. If I have more time, its a cozy place to relax.

When you want fast in restaurant service is great, lots of APD our local law enforcement, nice atmosphere for meetings, lots of room in the back. Restroom always clean. The old mans a little grouchy, but his foods good.

Its nothing fancy, just your basics, dont be fooled the name, its a diner. They dont have too much Mediterranean food. This place is a good breakfast place that is within walking distance of anywhere downtown.

We had lunch there and it was great. Its more like a diner with a Mediterranean flair. Comfortable seating with a back room and a good variety of food. Prices are reasonable. I really enjoyed it.

Downtowns oldest restaurant, and still fantastic. No frills, just a great Mediterranean restaurant crossed with a southern diner. Great lamb and pork, and the baklava is good, too.

small family restaurant in convenient downtown location. Always have enjoyed my breakfast there; I am a frequent breakfast patron. Good food and plenty of it.

This hole-in-the-wall Greek restaurant is my favorite! Great gyros, amazing prices, very clean, and quick service (10min for most orders).

Pretty good food at great prices. I had the french toast and sausage. No real problems and we plan to come back sometime to try lunch.

One of the best kept secrets of Asheville. The Med is a classic American/Greek dinner.
