I live a mile away so I really want to like this place, but unfortunately I dont. If Im being totally honest the food is not that good and the service was super slow as well. I have actually gave it a couple chances. About a month ago I had a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken was tough like leather and the fries were just okay. The last time we went we sat at a table for 20 minutes and didnt even get our drink order taken care of. My friend got upset and walked out and then another server came over and tried to take care of me. I wish I could say its awesome but its below average at best!!

Not a good experience. Traveled with a group of seniors today. About 19 in the group. Overwhelmed waitress who actually cried. I ordered chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes, simple, right? A soup bowl of noodles and chicken came with no potatoes. I didnt order soup. Then a scoop of mashed potatoes came in a small saucer. I had to take the plate from under the noodles and combine the two. I guess I was my own server and kitchen staff.

Horrible service! Was less than 1/2 full of people. Took over 10 minutes to have our drink order taken. 20 minutes to get 2 burgers. Order came or wrong. Over 10 more minutes for the "side" of mayo to get there (food was was almost gone my then). Never offered drink refills. Never checked to see if food was okay. Never offered dessert. Food was fair. We will NOT return.

I love farmstead I live close they have a great fish fry the chicken Alfredo is great the veal parmesan is great there burgers are good they have a really good sweet tea liver and onions are also good they have steak and its all realitively cheap for the amount of food you get the restaurant is set up like a set dutchmans survis is also nice

Great homey place with friendly employees. Looks like an old Howard Johnson Motor Lodge. Artist paintings in gift area=nice. Clean, safe. You will leave here with full tummy and still have $ in your pocket. Great break from the highway if you want to drive down the road to state Park to stretch the legs.

Conveniently located right off the highway. Smells like a stuffy old great aunts house, but worth a stop because the local beef burgers were great, and the fries too. This burger and fries would have cost almost twice as much back home in northern Vt. Food 4 stars, stuffy smell knocks it down to 3...

My meal was not homemade but rather out of a can and just heated up. My husbands meal was the Salisbury steak but it was dry and not served with gravy or grilled onions. The quality of our meal was not good. The atmosphere is welcoming which led us to believe the food was homemade and tasty.

My son bite a creamer cup and made a mess (I cleaned it up) BUT the WAITRESS was very ignorant and literally said "DEAR GOD" possibly as loud as she could have! Will never go back! Learn some respect for others. Old or not, kindness is a virtue.

Prices were great. You got a lot of food for your money and the food was delicious. There is a cute little gift shop in the lobby which gave the place a homey feel. Only reason I didnt put 5 stars is because of the musty smell.

Sat down, ordered. Waited about 40 minutes for the food to show up and it was a slow day (empty tables galore). No apology for the slow service and burger was a little burnt and tough. Definitely not going back after this.
