I almost didnt write this review; but as someone who has only been to Panera twice before this event, I felt like I should speak up. If only I had done more. My sister and I, with our children decided to stop at this Gahanna location while in the area. As it turns out this was a terrible choice. I dont make it a habit to eat at Panera. As such I decided to ask the cashier, a young lady, what she would recommend. As someone who works at a restaurant, I know you would generally at the very least know one item to recommend. (A customer favorite usually) She told me she didnt even eat there so she had nothing to recommend. My sister told me what she was going to get, so I ended up ordering the same thing. The turkey, BLT sandwich. I wasnt given an option of what might come with this, but I decided to go with it and ordered a coffee, and a kids meal (mac and cheese) with an apple juice. She offered $0.99 pastries so I ordered 2. My total was a shocking $26.00. Twenty six dollars! Ive ordered a meal for myself, my friend and my kid for that amount As I said, I dont normally order here but my sister said it was good. My sister ordered after me and they proceeded to give her order before me. Which was interesting, considering we ordered almost the exact meal. No big deal though, I can be patient. Until 10 or so minutes passed after she got her order! I have a toddler so I became upset after this. I saw my order sitting on their counter, but I wasnt sure (As I said, I dont have any experience ordering here so I didnt want to just grab it) so I asked to speak to a manager. This store absolutely needs a new manager. He obviously has no idea how to handle these types of situations. I wasnt looking into receiving anything other than an apology. Which I obviously didnt get. The manager made excuses like this location has a new GM, that they have high school kids who work there, etc. Never once offered an apology or that they would do their best to work on it. I left feeling disappointed and now I wish I had demanded a refund. I didnt make a habit of going to Panera and I most certainly wont be returning and I definitely will be advising people against it. And I will be pursuing talking to corporate about this location. As a Mom, it was so frustrating to see my nephew eating while my three year old is saying, "Momma eat?" I ordered before my sister, there wasnt any reason for at the VERY LEAST my toddlers meal to come out quickly. Very disappointing. You would think for a chain style place to eat, to expect a customer to pay $26.00 (honestly a rip off. ), the customer service should at least be passable. And anyone employed there should at least know how to do their job? As I said, I will NOT be returning.

I would like to give high praise to their manager, Chad. He went above and beyond to help me, even though an urgent medical situation originated at another location. My father had had an allergic reaction after eating a salad at the New Albany Panera location. (The reaction kicked in within minutes of him getting home.) He ended up in the hospital. I live out of state and called New Albany to obtain a list of salad ingredients. I explained that my father was hospitalized and asked for assistance. The manager seemed to be put off because I could not come in and look at the list. She put me on hold. When she returned to the phone, this New Albany manager advised me that she was new and that I should call back the next day to speak with their General Manager. Lets see... hospitalized father and the originating location will not provide assistance. Enter Chad, a manager of this Gahanna location. I called Chad and explained my situation. He was dumbfounded to learn what had just transpired. Even though the list was very long and I am sure he was quite busy, Chad took the time to read the ingredients to me. He then faxed me the nutrition list, even asking me to call back to confirm receipt. He expressed genuine care for my fathers health and offered to help me in the future if need be. Lets see... hospitalized father, not the originating location, yet Chad went out of his way to help my family with this dire situation. My family will go out of our way to sing the praises of this Gahanna Panera.

From about 1 month ago. Friendly staff but store was poorly managed. Plenty of staff but only one person running the register on a Sunday morning. Lots of customers so a long line. Person at register working their tail off, other staff aimlessly walking around the store, unsure what they are doing. Person at cash register packaged our order incorrectly, only giving us 8 of 13 bagels. Food was still great but what a shame the store/staff isnt managed better. Going back today so hopefully the last visit was just a "bad day at the office."

I have been getting the same order for almost 10 years at different Panera locations. At this location the pricing evidently is different. When I brought this to the attention of the cashier someone who appeared to be a manager stepped in and told me that I can talk to her boss and I need to read the sign. This location appears to be "nickel and diming" customers and this individual only escalated the situation.

I like Panera generally and it is my "oasis" when traveling. This specific Panera is within walking distance of my home, so I eat there often. I would recommend coming here to anyone. Cleanliness is good. They have consistently good service and food, clean restrooms and the store seems well managed. The menu is varied and tasty. This paticular location also has a very pleasant back area with lots of windows.

I absolutely love the hazelnut hot coffee, the Frozen Caramel Coffee, Cinnamon Crunch bagel with hazelnut cream cheese, and the Wildberry Scones. If I can break away from breakfast/pastries, I adore the Chicken Wild Rice soup and the Broccoli Cheddar soup, in a delicious bread bowl, of course! I work 3 doors down at the Rusty Bucket and that makes me so happy to have you all as neighbors!!

This location is usually a great experience. Plenty of staff working, so wait times are short, but they often run out of many items later in the day. Staff is very kind though, and their dining room is very spacious. Online ordering shortens wait time for carryout, but also a great place to sit and get work done. Wi-Fi is free, but access time is limited during peak lunch hours.

Shanese here in Ghanna, OH, really made my day. They discontinued my favorite sauce and she took her time explaining other sauces so that I could choose how else to keep my favorite sandwich. After I decided, she even suggested I try the new sauce for my panini and gave me a tiny sample. She really made my day! Great place! :-D
