After reading an online review stating that the tortilla chips basket was never empty we decided to give it a try! The owners Alex and Kelly are so attentive. This is an authentic family owned restaurant where some of he brothers are the cooks and Alex and his wife run the dining area. The restaurant was packed and we were seated in the back in a room that is used for private parties. They also have outdoor seating. As the review had stated the chips and salsa kept on coming! We ordered a side of guacamole for the chips. I ate El Mocajete one of their specialty dishes and Alexs favorite. It has strips of grilled steak, chorizo, shrimp, caramelized onions and mushrooms and poblano peppers topped with an avocado wedge and cheese. It came with a side of rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. My son ordered the chicken fajitas - stir fried strips of chicken, onions and green peppers it also came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato and guacamole. The single portion is enough for two people. My husband ordered the fajitas quesadilla topped with queso sauce. Although we were more than satisfied we ordered the fried ice cream dessert! - a fried tortilla with ice cream inside topped with honey and chocolate sauce. The traditional margarita on the rocks was delicious too! Best authentic Mexican food Ive had! It will not disappoint you!

We had dinner there last weekend. Weve dined here since it opened, and food always delicious, service friendly and attentive, and printed beer/drink list well done; this time-- NONE of the above. The beer/drink list has disappeared, and the waitress could only rattle off a few beers and then say, "and we have a bunch more" - that was it. Apparently, we were just supposed to guess what was available?! Ordered the Los Tios - but when it arrived, the chicken was so dry and tough, it was hardly edible. The side of their usually saucy and delicious rice was, instead, totally dry - like eating rice crispies I could only eat part of the meal, but when the waitress returned and saw the 2/3 uneaten plate, she said nothing-just scooped it up and brought the bill. Sorry Mi Trad-- glad to see you succeeding and expanding, but when you serve awful food, poor service, and no drink list, thats not going to make it..

I have ordered el chori pollo in different Mexican restaurants in Ohio. Love the dish and was glad to see mi tradition was only a 8 minute drive from my location and served el chori pollo (Grilled chicken breast with chorizo, topped with melted cheese. Served with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and guacamole). When I got home though I noticed the lettuce, tomatoes, and guacamole was left out from my order. Not a total Lost in my books though since I enjoy more the cheese, chorizo, and chicken combo... That was ruined too... The dish Didnt have the taste of a chori pollo... I recommend them to go to el Parian Mexican restaurant (1 hour away from them) and see how its properly done, I gave them a two only for the dish. The staff was amazing though! Very friendly host and a great atmosphere, but will not return due to the dish... At least until they improve, because that was the worse chori pollo I have ever had.

My family goes here quite frequently and having tried almost everything on the menu, we have never had a bad meal. The main thing that sets this place apart from almost any other restaurant is the owners. They are very friendly and try to make a point of stopping by and making sure things are good. The chips are always fresh and warm and the salsa is tasty and mild (for those who dont do hot). Which for me is the only downside, they really dont have anything that is HOT (spicy). It always tastes great, but there is nothing on the menu that is even as hot as habanero. I always end up adding the table sauces (El Yucateko) to it to give it a bit more kick. Overall, one of our favorite places in Columbus.

What a great place. We started going there when they opened 3 years ago. We knew then it was awesome and hoped everyone would discover them. It appears that has happened. Its no surprise that 3 years later they are going strong. The food is phenomenal and the service is top notch. The owner greets us every time and that gives it just a home town kind of experience. The salsa is so fresh and they must have a garden out back to get such a fresh taste. Do yourself a favor and stop in as the food is great, the portions are good, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting.

Really wanted to like it but did not. Tuesday was our second time here to give it another try. The food isnt flavorful and the sides of guacamole and sour cream were teaspoon sized. Many better options in the area with a similar price (el vaquero, los guachos). The worst part though was the service. We had a young girl with reddish hair as our server. There was only one other table in the whole place and we waited a very long time for food and especially our check. When we left she was sitting at a table on her phone. Will not be going back and will not recommend.

We were looking to rent a space for a private dance class for our wedding rehearsal and for our rehearsal dinner. When we first visited, the owners seemed open to us renting the space. Then they didn’t get us a contract when they said they would, they claimed to have computer issues, and even after the computer was fixed they kept promising to get us a contract in a few days. This went on for over a month and they never followed through. They were very unprofessional and we do not recommend working with them.

This place is awesome. The food is amazing and the service is seriously awesome. And I don’t mean just hit or miss - every server/bartender that’s ever waited on us is genuinely kind and happy to be there. It’s a special dynamic that allows for so many people to want to work hard and give great service. The food is always hot, and tasty. There’s a variety of items and the portions are perfect. This is a wonderful place to go if you’re looking for a cozy atmosphere and reasonably priced noms.

Found this place on my Google Map. It was within walking distance. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was impeccable the owner-manager was even working the floor. My server Brenda was Top Notch! I chose the shrimp chimichangas for dinner. I will have to say they were the best Ive ever had, the ingredients were incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner anytime for anyone. I will be a regular at this establishment.

After a few visits, this is now one of our 2 regular places for Mexican food. In a recent visit, I tried the steak & chorizo tacos which were pretty good (the spicy sauce on the side is great) , but wouldve preferred half as many beans on the side, and some rice with it. The $10 margaritas and $4 Corona were nicely chilled, even though the very new waitress was having a rough night. Just wish they had a beer/drink menu at the table rather than quizzing a green waitress. Will visit again.
