An HONEST review... I have been going to BBOX North CB since it opened.... my incentive to go to BB is for the live music. Matt Winter Band, Sweet Spot, Danny Brantly Band - all great. Once in awhile there is a lame band, but sometimes you get a nice surprise - Like this Gods n Generals band. That gal singer is off the charts! Food - I was a bit disappointed they axed the loaded baked potato from the menu - but I also understand the why. My fav is the BBQ Pulled Pork, on a side note the Pork belly melt at Reef Fish ( recently opened by BB ) is friggin DIE & Go to Heaven! I never had a bad meal. This out of an estimated 80 X I ordered food. SERVICE.... the over all google review score here is tarnished by a few poor servers. Like ANY place service depends on whom you get. I happen to know who is good and whom to seek out to give my $. Poor servers are quickly weeded out and disappear so this tells me the managers do stay on top of assuring customers good service. But yes, those poor servers did serve some tables - who then went on to write a 1 * review. Its really in poor taste to ditch a place over 1 poor server. 1 bad experience.... everyone is entitled to a bad day once in awhile. LIFE happens.... how do you know your "poor server" may have lost a loved one - but still came in to work, and their brain just wasnt working at 100%? In my job - 99% I am giving 100% and often my name is mentioned in good reviews where I work.... but there is one review the reviewer wrote I seemed confused and out there.... Yep! I had an off day - what that customer did not know is that my lower abdomen had major surgery - to repair a serious hernia - and mesh webbing interwoven to hold all my guts together - 87 staples and sutures - and some serious pain meds - but I had to work. Sorry I wasnt my usual happy self that day. Anyway food 4 thought BEFORE you trash a place online on Google Plus - Yelp-Trip Advice etc... Over all the BB has a winning team, but occasionally a new player has dropped the ball. Bottom line here - TRUTH is best self discovered - not told. Dont rely on these reviews - Go try for yourself, 99% your gonna have a good time and be happy.

Despite the upbeat looking atmosphere from the curb, this tops the worst restaurant/sports bars I have ever eaten at. Upon walking through the door I was told to sit anywhere. This sports bar seems like it could easily seat over 100 people and still have plenty of room. During my experience there were no more than 15 other people, most of which were already served. I sat down to order. It took well over 15 minutes just to be acknowledged, despite a table of two sitting right next to me. The waitress continued to turn her back as to intentionally ignore me. When I stood up to leave I was finally greeted. The table was covered in sand but due to the location it was not an issue What was an issue is after I asked for a napkin the waitress proceed to wipe the table. The final wipe was directly toward me covering my lap in the sand which was previously on the table. I then ordered one of the easiest thing on the menu, a burger. When brought out it looked as though the burger was assembled on water. When I picked it up the soggy bottom bun folded around my thumb before ripping apart and splattering on my plate. For the cost of $11.95, I was unsure exactly what I was paying for, bad service or the horrible food. Within an hour of leaving, my stomach began turning and I spent the next 5 hours drinking Pepto. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars, maybe the beer was cold. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I went to the new location on Gulf Blvd. It was awful! They couldnt even serve entrees due to "problems in the kitchen" and their prices on everything were on the high side. My mother and I went there and the spent $8.95 on fried portabella mushrooms. They were slices of portabellas and most of them were the small end pieces. You only get about 6 or 7 of them and the batter was really thick. The mushrooms inside were really mushy and the first time they brought it out they were burnt. Like black burnt. Even the bartender thought it was ridiculous that they would even bring that out. The seared Ahi tuna appetizer was really expensive and sliced so thin you could see through them. There were complaints coming in left and right for lack of service and poor food quality. A couple behind us left their entire burger with one bite taken out of it. Im hoping that the "problem in the kitchen" was that the chef quit and they can find a good chef. With the prices so high and the poor service and food this location will not make it long. The only good thing about our trip to The Brown Boxer was that the bartender was a really sweet and fun lady. No sign of management anywhere. If I opened a restaurant Id be checking with my customers to see how they are doing.

Probably closer to 2.5 stars. Just good enough to not be a complete bust. After reading the reviews my family and I decided to eat here on the last night of our vacation. Burgers were really small....I mean kid menu small. I doubt my 50/50 bacon burger hit the 1/4Lb mark. I left hungry. Apparently a side of honey is served on the plate when you order sweet pot fries..mine spilled on the way to the table and I got to enjoy my burger with honey instead of mayo and mustard. Did mention it to the server but all she did was replace the bun...the meat (all 2-3oz of it) still had honey all over it. Ordered some virgin drinks for our kids to cap off our vacation and they were extremely watery. Lots of bars have mediocre food...but youd at least expect the drinks to be good. For our family of 2 adults and 4 kids we dropped $150 to eat here on our last night at Clearwater Beach....this is the 2nd summer in a row weve flown across the country to enjoy this amazing beach town with plans to come back in 2017...dont think well be visiting the Brown Boxer next year.

I must be a glutton for pain..First I met friends at the Clearwater Beach Boxer, horrible food and lousier service. We stayed for a few drinks and left, wanted to complain about my frozen garbage burger but I couldnt get my servers attention long enough, my dog wouldnt eat that and I love my dog too much. Then I had friends that wanted to check out the new one on Madiera, I was smart enough this time not to order food, my friends had to find out the hard way..At least they are consistant, between the bony so called wings, and the burgers that I warned them about, were horrible, just nasty cheap frozen fifty cent pattys that you can get microwaved in any school cafeteria for 10 dollars..Way overpriced and over hyped. They will never see any of us again at either place. It was so bad that I cant believe I even took the time to write a review, this is the first ever for me..I had to, upsets me when places promote class, and offer the total opposite..Too bad..Be ashamed Boxer owners.
