On advice from a friend, went to try their "best of the beach" breakfast. I ordered Corned Beef hash, eggs and pancakes. Wife ordered Grits, bacon and eggs. Eggs for both were cooked properly and quite tasty. Her bacon was WAY over cooked. My corned beef hash looked and tasted exactly like what comes out of a can. It wasnt horrible (I love hash) and it was cooked with a crisp, but I would never expect this hash from a restaurant. We split a Sausage Gravy on bisquits plate. Terrible gravey. Got a coffee "warm up" that actually made it colder. Service was OK but nothing to write home about. Decor is umm, dive bar like. It is obviously mostly a locals bar. It is so easy to make a good breakfast house...how can it get so screwed up. We will not be back and we are locals. Go to Caddys on Sunset Beach if you want real hash.

Mens room was one of the dirtiest ive seen, no toilet paper , crap on the outside of bowl, dead upside down palmetto bug next to toilet, no mirror where a mirror once was with the old paint color that marked the spot.I could not motivate myself to eat in a place that would allow the restrooms to be so filthy and run down and this place feeds the tourist and locals, i would be embarrassed if someone walked in there . It only makes me wonder about the kitchen and other areas if they neglect things like this.

Ordered a grouper sandwich and waited at the bar. 20 minutes went by while we watched how the business operates. Not once did anyone acknowledge us or say anything about the wait. A lady was complaining to the manager about the poor quality of food. We watched the bartender empty someones glass, then scoop it into the community ice. After seeing that, we just left. Dockside Daves grouper sandwich took about 5 minutes.

This place is horrible first time vist bathrooms nasty no running water in mens room sat down and waited. Almost. 50min for finally got up and walked out still no sign of food when people came in behind us had their food server never came back to table had to track her down to let her know. We was done waiting for a simple breakfast all the was orderd was full bis&gravy bacon and a bagel........

The staff was running from the roaches tonight. Smells terrible inside. Smells like mold, mildew, dank, and kind of like the Porpoise Pub now that is has A/C. It just smells bad. They leave all kinds of products outside. I asked why are they leaving it out, and do you realize you are feeding the bugs? Never, ever, ever, go there for anything other than bottled beer.

NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED * Arrive at 9:46 AM sat at the bar for breakfast. * Placed order at 9:50 AM for 2 eggs (easy) toast and 3 strips of bacon. * Walked out of restaurant at 10:28 AM WITHOUT any breakfast. The sign outside reads "Voted Best Breakfast " I guess who ever voted this place the best breakfast had the entire day to wait to taste it!

Went there because it is close to home. Ordered fries, they were not cooked all the way , bartender asks still eating your fries ? I reply some are cooked some are not. Picks them up n throws them away. That was it !!!! Nothing !!! Bathroom stinks something crazy !!!!! Go anywhere else! !!!

Will never go there again. Service was very slow despite our group being some of the few customers there. As opposed to another review, to my knowledge this place is not on any boardwalk - it is on Gulf Drive. Good luck watching the sunset or dolphins.

Last February (2016) this place was great, loved the service and the food, was just there Christmas time (2016) was looking forward to going there and was disappointed in the service and food orders werent right. Just wasnt the same.

Stopped in during vacation one night. Draft and bottle beer selection was good. Quick service. They seemed to be closing early for a Saturday night, right around 8 or 9pm or would have tried some of the food.

Great drinks and good prices on the beach. The bartenders here are ALWAYS nice and friendly. Love this place. Food is good too. Try the shrimp with dipping sauce.

I wish i ordered the grouper, which was more fishy and flaky, less dense. The slaw is a good side choice with this. The prices are on the higher side.

Its VERY local. Near bus stop. Not a tourist stop. Very smokey. No food. Drinks are cheap though. Well aged bartenders (unlike the whiskey).
