We visited Fatbacks for the first time in April 2015, to try their food as an option for our wedding reception. We stopped in at the end of the day (30 minutes before closing) on a Saturday and their food was still fresh, warm and delicious. We placed our order for our wedding reception, and on the day of our wedding they had everything hot and ready when we got there. They were so nice and their food was an absolute HIT with everyone at our reception!!! We did have some leftovers, and they were even better re-heated the next day! This is true smokehouse meat, no need to even use sauce (even though their sauces are delicious too!). We would recommend them to anyone interested in a large order for an event or even to just go in for dinner with your family.

Ok, we know the owner, and have been getting his homemade Barbque sauce for a long time now.. both the Sweet and Hot.. but we went to the newly opened restaurant on Linden Avenue last night. We got the brisket and the pork, the roasted potatoes, and green beans and ham. The meat was perfect! Lovely amount of bark on the brisket, and the pork was moist and tender. The roasted potatoes were delicious, tender and flavored with something I can quit put my finger on. The green beans were not over cooked and just the right amount of onions and ham... not greasy at all! The portions were huge... we could not eat it all! While the neighborhood is not the greatest... this is a definitely a must eat at restaurant.

Worst BBQ Ive ever had....the price is outrageous for the amount of meat you get on the Sandwiches ($12) for 2 pieces of Brisket.....The meat didnt taste Smoked at all and it was very crumbly almost like it had sat in the Crock-pot all day( Brisket should have a little pull to it). There Sides are even worse....there Coleslaw/Baked beans tasted like it came out of a can and the Potato salad was literally boiled potatos with Mayo on them.....Once again very small for the Price....Wont be back.... BBQ should be about flavor Kick it up a bit

They have Ok food, they seem to try hard and the food is better than most little dumpy looking places, but the hours are very limited and the food type is too, even if you love the food, you can eat there once a day and try the entire menu in a week... I find myself wanting BBQ and think of this place somewhat often, but ill go look and it is closed. They are open 8 hours a day 5 days a week, closed at 7pm...

Stopped by today for lunch, about 12:30. Clean and casual, order and they bring the tray to your table. No crowds, service was great, and the sliced brisket standwich was as good as Ive had in Texas, GA or anywhere else in the country. They provide a sweet tomato based sauce, mild or spicy, if you want it but the meat is so good it isnt needed if you dont like sauce. Highly recommend.

If you are a lover of BBQ this place is the absolute best !!!! My mouth starts to water when i think about those Baby Back Ribs. Delicious with a Capital D . Give them a try and you will be Hooked !! They are true masters of there CRAFT .!! It has a nice atmosphere and would pass a white glove inspection . Very clean ! Thank you for providing such a great service.!

Absolutely delicious! Both my sisters work(ed) there. The pulled pork is awesome, and the roasted potatoes are to die for!! I think I need some right now, actually!:) The dine-in is quaint and very clean/orderly. The service is very friendly! Bub (the owner) may even be around to say hello! Very nice guy to talk to. Enjoy!

Awesome southern BBQ and vegetables for a Yankee establishment. Seriously the food is almost surpassed by the customer service. While waiting on my food order I was given a sample cup of their meay baked beans which were tongue slap your brains out good! Food is a great value. You get a lot for what you pay.

This place has ruined other BBQ restaurants for me. Nothing so far has come close to how good Fatbacks is. Staff is great, the food is awesome, and the store itself is very clean and well kept. The only thing I would say is that if you want to go, go early when they run out of food there out.

Awesome food! You have to go during the day because they close fairly early, but the food is incredible. I love everything Ive tried and even the barbeque sauce is great! You can even but some for home! Seriously, try this place! Best barbeque in Dayton!

Excellent barbecue.. Im from the South and have had some great barbecue but I have to say Fatbacks far surpasses anything I have ever eaten before. Very friendly staff, great service and very clean. Well worth the trip from anywhere around Dayton..

The pulled pork sandwich was very good, as well as the ribs , mac and cheese and greenbeans were good also but we went in on a saturday and they were going to be open for 3 more hours and only had 1/2 (half) a rack of ribs and there was 3 of us

This is the best BBQ I have ever had. A lot of people say that. I mean it. Its real good. The staff are nice, nothing out of the ordinary just helpful and polite. I always get the ribs and wife gets the brisket. Never had any bad cuts.

Some of the best ribs that I have ever had. And I grew up in Texas where BBQ is king. They also had me try the brisket which required no knife. Like butter melting down you throat! Awesome and great service as well. 5 stars!

I love this place. The food is delicious, the portions are large and the place is super clean. I highly recommend Fatback if you like bbq and even if you dont, this place may change your mind. P.s. try the pig pops!!

Great people serving great food. Love their potato salad. Someone complained that it was just boiled potatoes with mayo, they obviously have no tastebuds, or some deep seated grudge. You wont regret going there.

If u like bbq this place will blow your mind. Wish it was more south of town tho. Roasted potatoes are unlike any other potatoe ive ever had. The swine wine is also unique and not worth missing out on.
