I went here for the first time on Saturday, 12-14-13 with some friends to catch up. We originally planned to go to Brio but someone suggested Bon Vie and since 3 of the 5 of us had never been, we were excited to try something new. I made the reservation for 7:45 and our table was ready when we arrived BUT we were disappointed when we were located in the back directly in front of the coat racks and some stray chairs which made for cramped seating for two of the ladies in our group. That was just the beginning of our frustrations. The water had a fishy taste to it and when I asked for a replacement, our waitress told me that ‘all Easton water has a funny taste’. As it turned out, we had THE WORST waitress. She was disorganized, condescending, and unprofessional. She forgot drinks, got orders wrong, and removed my friend’s dessert without asking her (and she wasn’t done). The stolen dessert was the final straw. We got the manager who apologized and reduced all our bills by 50% but then sent the waitress back over to cash us out after we just explained how unhappy we were with her. And of course, she messed up our bills-forgetting to give change and giving the wrong people the wrong bills, credit cards, etc. It was a disaster. The manager should have cashed us out personally and at least made our check out a little more pleasant, but it didn’t seem to matter to him that much. To top it all, the food was not that great. I personally had the crab cakes which were dry and not very seasoned. A friend of mine complained that while her fish was steaming hot, her mashed potatoes were cold. Overall experience was a D-. I will never return to this restaurant. (Mrs. Venetia Austin)

Didnt even get a chance to try this place due to the unaccommodating staff. Tried to go in for a nice lunch with our daughter. Although it is winter, it wasnt particularly chilly outside and the inside was very loud - we asked if it would be possible to be seated on the patio - my daughter is autistic and very noisy restaurants can make for a traumatic experience. (which is uncomfortable both for restaurant staff as well as our family). However, we were told that we would not be accommodated even though all chairs and tables were still out. I find it displeasing that a restaurant such as this will not accommodate those with disabilities. We ended up going over to California Pizza Kitchen, where we were served wonderfully on the outdoor patio (they even set up the heater for us to keep us comfortable and the staff was incredibly attentive). I definitely wont be trying this place again, especially with how rudely we were treated for even asking.

we came on a Saturday stopped at Easton before haunted house. decided to try here. got on the waiting list at 6:07 and checked in at hosts stand at 7:07 said we are behind and should have u seated 15 minutes. at 7:40 sat down. waited a long time. we ordered drinks and food all at once. 3 meals came out w my side salad. and well my steak dinner did not. miscommunication w server and kitchen. all downhill... under cooked steak. manager did give me lobster bisque to tied me over. then my fiancé asked how they determine the wait times and he said "oh boy Im sorry obviously they miss told you" "I will take care of you" came back with appetizer cards. checked my steak and then apologized again. he insisted on free desert (which was amazing) and comped the whole meal. fig out it was easily 100.00 or more. needless to say only visit we will do here.

Before my visit to Bon Vie I was very excited, since this would be my first time at the bistro. I was highly disappointed, and I doubt that I would visit again. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere but the service was poor, not at all what I expected from Easton. My server never refilled my friends water and he also charged my card 3 times! I did not find out until I checked my bank account a few days later. He could have mentioned it while I was still present in the restaurant but Im sure he was too worried about his tip versus my account. I spoke with the General Manager Mike and he did apologize but I feel the inconvenience is far too great for just an apology, Bon Vie live up to the standard of excellent customer service that Easton prides itself on or please relocate before you give Easton as a whole a bad name.

As usual, the food was absolutely fabulous. Unfortunately, our waitress wasnt. I thought my sisters and I were perfect patrons, but we couldnt manage a smile out of her the entire evening. We gave no special instructions, and kept our drinks simple. She made no effort to hide her displeasure in serving us, and we opted to skip dinner and leave after the appetizers. Her terrible attitude (sighing and rolling her eyes) made our birthday celebration quite unpleasant. I usually tip quite high, especially during the Christmas season, and this was one rare occasion that I felt merited a truly terrible tip. Quite frankly, the server ruined our dining experience and I wont return to this location in the future if the problem isnt addressed by management.

Very good not great- Id go back though. Also, the service was excellent- our drinks were refilled promptly, the waiter was attentive, and we didnt have to wait long for the food or check. We had the fillet mignon, salmon, and chicken buret (sp?). I had the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly however there wasnt enough sauce (which I could have just asked more of so its not really their fault). I also had the french onion soup and it was great- not too salty, the onions seemed like they had been fresh, and there was just the right amount of cheese.

Yesterday nine of my friends and I ate lunch at Bon Vie for a retirement party and had a great experience! Josh was our server and he had an easy-going manner with us and was able to kid around as well as give excellent service! We had a wonderful, private area to sit that had a huge round table, which made talking so much easier. The table was curtained off and I dont know of another restaurant that has that kind of accommodation. We loved it! The food was very good and I will definitely come back and recommend to others!

My family and I went to the Bon Vie Bistro for lunch, and I ordered the B. V. Sliders. When I got the sliders, I took a bite and saw that the hamburger meat was raw. Then I looked at all the hamburgers and saw that there was mold growing on the hamburger buns as well. They took back the bad food and prepared me another plate, but they were just as raw as the first burgers. The quality of the food compared to the price was unacceptable. I wasnt impressed by the service.

Excellent food and superb service. I came here last fall for my birthday with some friends and my boyfriend -- we all had a blast and they handled my boyfriends egg allergy with careful courtesy. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a high-quality experience without ultra-high fine-dining prices. On average Id say be prepared to spend about $15-20 per plate.
