I went this past Saturday to Minh Anh for the first time with my boyfriend who is obsessed with their pho. Hes from southern California and grew up with the hundreds of great authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Garden Grove and has tried many many different phos from many many different restaurants. Its high praise when he says that Minh Anh has the best pho hes ever tried--he likes the cinnamon addition to the broth. I tried his broth, and I agree--the surprising addition of cinnamon really elevates the pho to something unexpectedly delicious. I ordered the bun thit nuong--which I cant stop raving about to everyone! The dish was executed perfectly, the pork was marinated and grilled to perfection, and the nuoc cham was the perfect balance of sweet, fishy, and acidic with the lime. I also enjoyed all the fresh veggies they included in the bowl--especially the perilla. If you like your food to be hot, ask for their housemade chili sauce--it is pure spicy perfection. The portion size is big, but even after I licked the bowl clean and was uncomfortably full, I wanted more just because I enjoyed all the flavors so much. Minh Anhs bun thit nuong rivals my moms take on the dish, and that is quite the compliment. Love love love this place. It might have just become my favorite restaurant in Cleveland--even more so than fine dining places such as Dante, Parallax, Gingko, Chez Francois, and Greenhouse Tavern .

Really didnt like my experience here. It felt semi-authentic but the food was incredibly sub-par compared to other south Asian cuisine Ive tasted. Honestly, there was complete lack of flavor, depth and character to my order. (salmon with coconut curry & peanut sauce) The salmon itself was alright, but the sauce again, lacked flavor and there was no effort to present my dish in an appealing manner, which was a disappointment. For what we paid, I was expecting more of a put-together experience and left with a very mediocre impression of this restaurant. The interior is cramped and it felt more like dining at an American road-side joint than an authentic Vietnamese establishment. Compared to other ethnic restaurants in the area, I just didnt like my experience here enough to return. Service was about the only thing that I felt was of substantial quality here. Our server did accommodate to us well and was friendly and prompt. I would suggest an interior renovation and a new cook.

I went here a couple time but one time I found some flies eggs on a piece of cucumber (on a pork rice dish). Could you say NASTY? I showed the waitress and she brought it to the kitchen. A lady (I think shes the owner) came storming out of the kitchen and ask me "What?" "What?" "Show me". She had the rice dish on her hands but they replaced the cucumber already. I was fuming mad but I had my 2 year old with me and that was my only day off so I didnt want to make a scene. I just went to pay and left (I still tipped the waitress, not her fault). The food was mediocre but sanitation is a problem with this restaurant. You can see it if you look around.

I started out with a spring roll. which came out relatively quickly n which was nice because I was hungry. The spring roll filling was fresh with crispy veggies, and a good amount of shrimp. The spring roll itself was very large which was nice. It comes with a peanut sauce that works very well with the dish. I also ordered the "Pho" soup (pronounced PHA) which is by a long shot my favorite meal here. Its basically a bowl of beef noodle soup but that is an understatement. You have to try the Pho at this place. Well worth it.

My wife is Thai and she introduced me to this place about 15 years ago. She is a very good cook but the Vietnamese food here is absolutely delicious. The Cinnamon Beef Ball Soup, Chicken Ginger, and Deluxe Singapore Noodles are my favorites but there are many more that we like as well. The food is very inexpensive and the quality and service are consistently good. With all the money I have spent here, I should be a business partner by now.

Had the Pho bo vien, wasnt awesome, but was good. Def one of the best broths around, but not enough meat or noodles in plate and a bit too much cilantro for my taste - would have rather had it put on the side. Partner had the coconut pulled pork and it was also just ok. I guess after reading the reviews I was expecting a whole lot more... still pretty decent for NEO. Place was very well priced though.

How sad Minh Anh is just a name. How can one mess up chicken fried rice? Dont waste your time or money there food is now food court quality. How sad Ive been going there since they opened. Back then when Cleveland had not yet become a food town. They were bold, original: a wonder to behold. Now they are nothing but a name with a so what attitude.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for generations. Love the food my all time favorite is the #17 the spring rolls with peanut sauce, so very unique and tasty. Dont even get me started on the Fried chicken wings with Sriracha sauce. See you Soon Minh hanh :) oh and if you have kids they will love the coconut soda!

The best pho in Cleveland. I used to come here a lot. I would always get large 22 and a shrimp spring roll. Was always happy. I always enjoy the vermicelli dishes. Ive tried every Vietnamese restaurant in Cleveland and this by far my favorite. Its unassuming and unpretentious, but it is tasty.

I love this place, and have eaten there several times. You feel like youve been invited. Ive worked with Vietnamese and Korean chefs in the past, sampling their best on a nightly basis and the food at Minh An compares nicely with much more expensive restaurants. A Winner.

Ive been to Vietnam with friends who are from there, this is the closet to some of the best pho restaurants that I went to. The service is adequate here they do their job but dont expect to much chitchat from the American waitresses that work here, they are busy.

After a few times here, the food can be great or not so much. Today my husband and I came prior to dinner hours and our service was quite poor. There was no offer to refresh our drinks or another glass of wine. We were able to get service

Minh Anh is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants in town. Definitely better than its counterparts over on E 30th. Added bonus is the Vietnamese grocery store and the hair stylist / barber shop next door (especially the latter).

That sad part is that I love the food here. I went into the market part to purchase some rice noodles, Thai basil and bean sprouts. I grabbed a package of noodles and there was rodent droppings all over the package. So grossed out.

Have been here a few times, most recently had the Chicken Lo Mein(also posted a photo), was very good, love that there are a lot of vegetables. The Crab Rangoon is also very good, as well as the Pho! Definitely recommend.

Minh-Anh isnt bad but its VERY overrated. Almost all of their dishes are soupy either or goopy. Their saving grace are the spring rolls and fried rice in my opinion. Pretty much everything else is okay or forgettable.
