If youre expecting this to be like a bistro in France, go somewhere else. a la carte and Prix Fixe menus are available; adequate wine list; French-theme cocktails. Petit Charcuterie platter consisted of a slab of bland pate (probably chicken or pork, not duck or goose), 2 cornichons, some mixed greens, and three slices of rather ordinary sausage. Sliced baguette (think "Giant Eagle Bakery") pieces, without refills. Small mixed green salad was the usual bagged mixed greens, a drear vinagrette and pickled beets. Cracked pepper was not on offer for either appetizer. Entrees consisted of the "special of the day", a flank steak served with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and some mushrooms. Second entree was the "Veal T-Bone", ordered medium-rare and served cold/raw. The mushroom topping tasted like canned mushrooms with a rosemary cream sauce. Some quick microwaving brought the veal to temperature, and rendered it tough. Both entrees were served with a sliced potato casserole and julienned carrots and zucchini, both reminiscent of the Rotary Club annual banquet. Dessert was advertised as "meringue on custard", and appeared as a blob of raw meringue floating in a watery, vanilla-flavored mess, and doused with rancid-tasting toasted almonds and globs of honey. Georges, the owner, is quite clearly selectively attentive. Never again.

My mother took my wife and I out to lunch for my wifes birthday. My wife and I both ordered the rake wing which I didnt know what this was till I Googled it ahead of time. It is sting ray or manta ray and they punch out imitation sea scallops from it. When we were served the rake wing it was a filet of the manta or sting ray which was fine. The texture was somewhat stringy but it was tender and tasted good. It was served with a horseradish caper sauce which also seemed alright. After leaving the restaurant about 3 hours later my wife became violently ill and about a half hour later so did I. The next day my mother called the restaurant to complain and talked with Georges who was our server and also owns the restaurant. He told her in a nasty tone of voice that it could not be the rake wing as he said he also had eaten some and we probably got sick from something we had eaten earlier in the day. Other than a morning cup of coffee this was the first thing we ate that day. My mother told him we didnt want anything but wanted to let him know something was bad, whether it was the fish or the sauce. He did not want to hear it. I would definitely stay away from this place unless you want to roll the dice with your health. Not even an apology, just denial. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Every experience Ive ever had here has been great. The menu offers a variety (in terms of selection and prices) and Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered (and Ive been enough times to have tried most of the items on the menu. The duck is always a personal favorite in any of its preparations, but the steak au poivre is also very good.) The owners are engaging and friendly and the staff is attentive. It easily reminds me of similar restaurants and cafes Ive eaten at in Paris, so the opportunity to dine at Le Bistro du Beaujolais is always welcome.

My daughter who just completed her freshman year in high school, (first year French class) wanted to attend this restaurant. So at the end of the school year as a reward for doing well we went to this beautiful restaurant. My 10 year old son, 24 year old daughter and I had an amazing time. Our host was kind, spoke French, and made our experience truly enjoyable. We all tried food we never had before and cant wait to go back. The dining room was beautiful and the staff were excellent. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking to try something different.

We went here for a birthday dinner but seems we shared the dining room with a party of 18 adults and 6 kids. The noise level was deafening as they acted like they were in a private room. We had to yell at each other to be heard. The others (3) at my table had good meals but mine was awful. I ordered the flank steak medium and it was very well done and dry and tough. I took most of it home for my dog. The potatoes and veggies were very good however. The diners who had salmon and monkfish were very happy I will try again but maybe not on a Saturday night.

Out-fking-standing! NEVER have I been to such an AMAZING restaurant! Its in such a quiet old little town, and the farmhouse and yard which this restaurant is in looks exactly like the classic bistro you would find in France. Its a small restaurant with about 10-12 tables, and it feels very cozy. It never gets quiet, and it never gets lonely. The family that runs it does an outstanding job! The portions are just right, and the food is authentically delicious. We WILL be coming back again. The 45 minute drive from Solon is DEFINITELY worth it. ∞/10

My wife and I were introduced to this gem of a restaurant a few years ago and have visited several times. On no occasion have we been disappointed. George the owner is always very involved and pays attention to the utmost detail. The rabbit, skate wing and escargot are our favorites and of course the desserts and their presentation are to die for. If you want a short flight to Paris without the hassle and airfare, this is the place to go. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We of course go back whenever we can.

I have been to this restaurant several times over the years with my family, and we always have a terrific experience. The food is phenomenal, the prices are reasonable, and the owners are friendly and put a lot of care into their restaurant. On our most recent visit, one of the owners waited on our table, and he spent time chatting with us at several points throughout our meal, recommended a good wine with dinner, and recommended a perfect drink to go with the dessert that we ordered. Everything was wonderful!

Ive known Georges and been coming to the restaurant for almost three years. The food is delicious every time! Its the only place to get authentic French food in the Cleveland area. The menu changes seasonally and Claudie has always cooked up a great new recipe. (For instance, you will not find better duck ANYWHERE!) All for a moderate price and youre NEVER hurried through a meal, unlike other places. Georges & co. cater to foodies and serve their artful delicacies as such. I cant rave enough about it!

We recently celebrated a family birthday here. Once again, the service and food and hospitality were incredible. Georges took such wonderful care of us. He recommended a wine that we all enjoyed and complemented our food choices perfectly. The French onion soup, the escargot, the lamb, veal, steak... everything cooked to perfection. We were even serenaded with "Happy Birthday" in French. It all made for a perfect birthday celebration.
