Wild Ginger is a mid-scale dining experience. Cloth napkins and attentive table service accompany high-quality Thai fare and sushi (or, alternately, Japanese hibachi). The Thai selection is excellent, with dishes being both generous and tasty (although inconsistently spiced...a minor quibble). Sushi is excellently prepared and delicious, with a variety of rolls and sashimi to choose from. The hibachi experience is great for groups, but plan on at least an hour for the entire thing...90 minutes is safer. Prices are pretty reasonable, IMO, and they offer a 10% food discount if you pay with cash. We are regulars there, and they offer consistently good service and food to keep us coming back.

My husband is from Cincinnati, and we discovered Wild Ginger in 2008 and learned it was started by the owners of our other favorite restaurant, Lemon Grass (just around the corner). We have eaten at Wild Ginger at least 6 or 7 times and have had delicious food every time. The atmosphere is very nice, as well. The service is always very pleasant. We have not yet tried the sushi, since we love their Thai dishes, but the sushi looks better (much fresher) than our favorite place here in the Indy area. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

You walk into Wildginger and you think, wow this has to be good. The customer service was horrible. The waitress kept us waiting for ever. I ordered the Seafood hotpot. The crab was imitation. What restaurant cooks with imitiation crab meat. the brown rice was muschy. After complaining about a couple of things, i didnt want to keep complaining. The food was horrible. They cannot pay me to eat in this restaurant EVER AGAIN!!! did i mention the seafood hot pot had 3 peices of shrimp, 3 pieces of calamari and A WHOLE LOT of imitation crabmeat!!! who does that?

Great place with a really nice ambiance! Their sushi is by far the best in the area, ALWAYS fresh. Also they have a great selection of stirfry, noodles, rice, and other good stuff. It is both possible to have a good budget meal, or a nice fancy one depending on what you can afford. It is true that sometimes the service is slow due to overload, but that is the case in any restaurant at rush time, and there are good reasons why this place is packed when a lot of other restaurants are empty. I definitely recommend!

please dont pay attention to the trip adviser review. wild ginger is the best asian restaurant in cincinnati, hands down, and the service is excellent. weve been eating there for a few years now, and the staff has never been anything but courteous and responsive, yet never overbearing. the food is also fantastic, particularly the sushi and pad thai. as a west coast transplant, im pretty picky about these things, and wild ginger gets an A+ from me.

The food is fine but way overpriced for the quality and quantity. Other good Thai places with better quality and cheaper prices. The sushi is definitely overpriced for the quality - go somewhere else for the sushi. The environment is nice but it is clear that is what you are paying for with their prices - clearly not the food. In fact, last time my wife and I went to eat there we took one look at the prices on the menu and left.

I have been there 10-12 times. I can easily walk there from my home. I ate there tonight and had a terrible experience. Restaurant was severly understaffed. 3 of us completed our meals and the 4th had not even been served dinner by the time we were finished. I was served warm beer. No offer from management to make it right. I dont think I will go back. There are plenty of good alternatives in Hyde Park. Try one of those!

Disappointed tonite. The portions are smaller, cost the same if not more and my friend had Thai Garlic Chicken - awful - visually bad, tired looking and NOT GOOD! It was the first time it has been bad. I hope that this is not a trend. I will reserve judgement, but fear the worst. The sushi was not good either, but walleye up to their good standards. I hope that the kitchen was off tonite.

We had the house pad thai, the drunken noodles and sampled some of their sushi. The food was bland, the chicken in the noodles had a stale flavor, and the sushi was not the freshest weve had. We were hoping to find some spice in their "thai" food but were disappointed. The service was good and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Go only for a drink and skip the food.

Great quality chicken, pork and beef, and the vegetables are fresh and crisp. Very generous portions and friendly staff. You also get a 10% discount if you pay in cash. Dining room is nice and there is parking behind the building. I think that they have the best cashew chicken in the entire city.

Finally got around to trying Wild Ginger when a friend suggested it for lunch. Combo of sushi and Thai food, very nicely done. The sushi lunch I had was very fresh and well presented, if a bit bland. (But thats what the side of wasabi is for.) Service was good even with a busy lunch crowd.

I had dinner at Wild Ginger with four friends. Curry and orange chicken were not tasty, too sweet to eat. And the worst thing was that I was over changed $50.69 on my credit card statement, even 18% tips were automatically added. Be careful about your charge. Will never go there again!

If you want to ruin your dining experience by eating faux Thai food this is the place to be. Flavorless. Every brown sauce tastes the same. Ive tried it a few times and they are consistently bad. How can a Thai restaurant mess up Pad Thai??? Seriously. Go to Asiana or Teak instead.

A friend brought me to the restaurant the first time and I could not wait to take my husband. We have brought friends and it has been a great experience every time. The service was very good and everyone was pleasant! We love it!

Selection is vast. My parents visiting were impressed by quality & taste of sushi. Much better than others weve tried. Have had several different asian dishes & they have all been delicious. Staff is efficient & friendly.

This is easily the worst Asian food in the city! Its bland and frankly disgusting. I was so angry that I actually wasted 23 dollars on one order. Cant believe they are so overpriced for this nasty food. Dont go here.

We do the take out regularly from Wild Ginger.. They messed up the order this time.. I ordered red curry with tofu and they made red curry with shrimp. Unfortunately I am a vegetarian and I could not eat that..

Great location. i have tried many other sushi places like kyoto at mason/Cincinnati. Wild ginger is so far one of the best in town. Their Thai menus are good too, also have Hibachi grills. A lot selections.
