I order from here frequently. I first found out about them just from searching for restaurants that deliver. They are always very polite, both over the phone, and when they show up with the food. Their noodles are fantastic (our favorite is Pad Thai so far, but shanghai noodles are great too if you like egg noodles which have a softer texture). Their classic Chinese food dishes are great too. I loved the Sesame Chicken and it was way better than some of the other local Chinese restaurants whose food isnt much better than mall food court Chinese. I tell everyone about Yat Ka Mein. Awesome food and delivery for just $3.00 when you dont feel like leaving the house.

Asian-American food in a homey atmosphere. Really decent noodles at a really good lunch prices (dinner prices look 30% higher on average). The noodles looked and tasted fresh. My Pad Thai was flavorful and generously portioned. The menu is wide-ranging; udon based Dan Dan, goetta dumplings! Pepsi products served. Parking is a bit odd. 17 spaces accessed via the driveway between the restaurant and the animal hospital. Dont try to go down Romana Place from Madison; 50/50 chance youll encounter someone going the correct direction down this narrow street. Oh, and since this was an Arbys in a previous life, theres a drive through that they really do utilize.

Im mainly writing this due to my confusion as to why there are so many high ratings for this restaurant. I love Chinese food and Im not very picky about it. Ill eat at buffets, take-out places and fine dining places. This restaurant was just okay, kinda bland but not terrible. Nothing good or definitely not great about it. Im shocked at how many people think its worth a 4 or 5 star rating. Of all the Chinese food Ive had in my life, this would easily fall into the bottom third in terms of quality and taste. The service was fine and the prices were decent.

My first time here and my son and I loved it! Great prices and excellent food. We shared the pot stickers and each had an egg roll. Egg rolls are just OK, but the pot stickers were very good. For our main course my son had the Japanese Udon noodle soup and it comes with a huge bowl of mixed vegetable tempura and shrimp tempura! He loved it! I ordered the shanghai stir fry noodle extra spicy with beef, chicken and pork. It was very good! I also ordered the hot tea. Overall, a great place and Ill be back!

Stopped in here on a Friday night with some friends after several failed attempts to get a table at some other local restaurants. Im glad we ended up here. The food was delicious and plentiful. There were 5 of us and we each got a dish that we shared with each other. I dont think much thought went into the visual aesthetics of the restaurant (still looks like the old Arbys it used to be), but the food more than makes up for it. Ill definitely be back.

Yat Ka Mein is my new favorite Asian restaurant. The mussels and vegetable tempura have been the best of everything Ive tried so far, and I think Im going for the goetta fried rice next time. Staff is friendly, waits are not long, and everything is excellent. BYOB is way cool, and somehow Ive never seen it crowded. Prices are basically comparable to Applebees and you get massive servings of delicious food. Highly recommended to everybody.

Food was very delicious. You get plenty for the price. I had one of their authentic traditional beef noodle bowl and it was very rich in flavor and hefty in meat portion. I also had their chicken lettuce wrap which was packed with flavor. I tried a friends Pad Thai. It had a Chinese twist to it. I enjoyed it. It was tasteful but might not be as enjoyable for Thai food enthusiasts.

Ive lived in the area for fifteen years and just tried this place this summer. My loss. The food was delicious. My wife and I have eaten here or carried out four time in as many months. I had the Hot and Sour soup last night and was very different from the typical... not thick or gooey but brothy with great balance of sour and spiciness. Very friendly service too.

Just tried this place after reading a few favorable reviews. My girlfriend, my roommate and I collectively ordered the Beef Pad Thai, General Tsos Chicken, Shanghai dumplings and some vegetable fried rice. We found all of it to be pretty good. Id say we basically got what we expected. Picked it up at the drive thru window and service was good as well.

Delivery- Very Prompt and nice. Even the woman taking my order was very pleasant. Food was very good and the price was decent. My only issue was the spring rolls were rather small. Other than that I had no issues. I will definitely be ordering from yat ka mein again.
