Terrible experience here, very similar to another review by "klbisme" below. I was a regular at this restaurant years ago. The food used to be great as well as the service, but that was then. This is not the same restaurant I once enjoyed eating at on a regular basis. I went there with my Mother recently and it was, hands down, the worst restaurant experience I have Ever Had. We were seated by some guy who later claimed to be a chef, but was more concerned with texting on his cell phone than seating us. The cheese dip and salsa were good. My Mom got a combo and didnt have a problem with her meal. I ordered a chicken & beef enchilada combo. The chicken inside was horrible. It was a couple of days old for sure, judging by the taste, and the beef enchilada was totally flavorless. I am not sure how it was accomplished but it basically had no flavor at all. The rice was nasty looking and tasted worse. The beans did not taste like beans at all. Actually they didnt really taste like food, as if they were tainted with something. I had one or two bites of everything and pushed my plate aside. The server came by and I told him as politely as possible that I thought the food was bad. He took my plate and left. Then, some guy claiming to be a "chef" came out and asked "So, somebody has a problem here?" I told him everything I just told you about the food, but I was never rude in any way. He informed me that I was wrong, the food was great, refused to apologize, did not offer me anything else, and informed us that I would be required to pay for my meal regardless. I told him that I would not pay because it was horrible and I didnt even eat it. He just kept saying "I stand behind my product" as if he were trying to sell me a set of tires for my car or something, instead of the inedible garbage he was trying to pass off as food. He kept saying that over and over like a broken record, "I stand behind my product". I was calm and polite until he raised his voice at my elderly Mother (who thought her food was ok and wasnt even complaining). He had crossed the line. I was done being polite with this Jackass and I told him that his "product" was crap and that I would pay for my Moms meal and our drinks etc. but not for my entree. He then told us both to "Get on out!" and "Dont EVER come back!" No problem, "chef" I will not, and neither will anyone I know. Believe it or not there are lots of Mexican restaurants around that actually serve good food and treat their customers with respect if there is a problem. You are not the only game in town. This guy claimed to have been a chef for 30 years. Well, I have been a chef for over 10. I learned how to properly cook and hold chicken and treat the customer correctly quite some time ago. This whole thing could have been handled so much better. I would have been happy with them just taking my terrible dinner off of the bill, (a total of $9.50 out of a $40 check) and I would have paid the rest of the bill without argument and later got something edible from Taco Bell. Instead, the so-called "chef" chose to yell at me and my elderly Mother, and throw us out with a lifetime ban.(LOL) I doubt that with this guy in charge this place will be open much longer. I gave it one star because there was no option for zero stars. If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in Eastgate looking for Mexican food, do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else! There is a place called Aculpoco in Milford on Rte. 50 less than 10 minutes away, where the food is always great as well as the service.

Meh pretty much sums it up, and I hate that cliche. The service was friendly, and mostly attentive. Forgot a water a couple times, but I had a pretty decent margarita to tide me over. Their drinks are what gets them an extra star. Definitely worth it and have good happy hour prices. The chips and salsa were ok. Fresh chips, just kinda blah no heat salsa, but I liked it enough to eat them while waiting. I went with fajitas as there was really only tacos burritos and enchiladas. No really special Mexican dishes. In fact they had burgers on their menu too. Now, its really not hard to screw up fajitas.... But they did. First off, I almost always need 5-6 fajitas, and need more tortillas. They gave me 3 small ones, and those are all I used. Hardly any meat for the price. The veggies were either under or over done. And my extras were supposed to come with guac, and it didnt. But trying my friends I wasnt missing anything. It tasted like a ground up avocado, again no seasoning. Same with the meat. It was all around just really bland and flavorless.... I doubt Id go again unless I wanted a drink, and sat at the bar watching a game. That part of it seemed hoppin!

avoid this place!!! i called the health department after finding a cockroach (yes a cockroach in my fajita). i immediately threw up & ran out of the restaurant. i am not lying!! it was huge!! and i ate most of my meal before even seeing it!! Maybe they just hate vegans cause i ordered a veggie fajita with no meat or dairy. There is NOOOO way a bug this big just fell in by accident, it was PUT THERE!! this is unacceptable & they should be ashamed of themselves. my mother got a picture of the roach & ill be uploading it for those that dont believe me. eat at your own risk!!

Endlich leckeres, geschmackvolles, tolles Essen.

I have traveled all over the world, the U.S. and lived in both Texas and California. There are many restaurants that claim to serve authentic Mexican food. Having enjoyed that cuisine for years, Chef Eric Viars and his Rincon Mexicano restaurant are indeed serving excellent and authentic Mexican food. I would recommend them to anyone, any time! An excellent experience for you, your family and your pallet!

The only bright spot about this place was our waitress. She was very sweet and friendly even while working her tail off due to the fact that they were severely under staffed. The restaurant was entirely too cold even with my jacket on. The food was bland and I felt very over priced. Will never go back.

Tall blonde Tyler was the best server I have ever had at a restaurant in my entire life!! The food was extravagant and I will order the carne asada burrito everytime. I will return to Rincon Mexicano in the near future. I highly recommend. I only wish they had more solo trumpet performances.
