Behind its humble exterior and modest surroundings is one of the most authentic and delicious Mediterranean restaurants in Cincinnati. My dad and I went here just by chance and it was a truly happy-accident. First off, it was astounding to find a place on the west-side that serves falafel. What surprised me even more was that it was the BEST falafel I have ever had in America. I have been to many of the other Greek restaurants in Cincinnati and this is the tops. My falafel wrap was the perfect blend of spice, texture, consistency and flavors. The only downside would be the side of fries, which were standard thaw and fry fodder, but that is my only complaint. My dad got the Gyro Salad; a mix of delicious slices of lamb on top of an amble bed of lettuce garnished with feta cheese, black olives, cucumbers, and banana-peppers served with a side of warm pita bread. To sum things up, at Gyro Plaza, the portions are ample, the food is delicious, the service warm and friendly, but the clientele is sparse, SO GET OUT THERE AND SUPPORT A GREAT LOCAL RESTAURANT!!! It would be a true shame to see this disappear.

Ok, this place is my best kept secret in the nati. This is that place your talking about when you say "I know a great little place for..." the interior is like a bad 70s spy film set...but 40 years later. It may look a little jank but it is THE REAL DEAL!!!! A little family joint with the best greek food you will EVER eat. Want to go on that date where you look like a well traveled man (or woman) about town, take your date here (or Mr. Genes dog house, but thats more of an afternoon thing) the food is great in generous proportions it is so delicious (youll over eat. and feel sick its soooo good) the prices are great given the quality. a must for anyone looking for an authentic greek experience

Jack had told me about this pIace when we were in college and I never made it over. I stopped in with a date for luch last week and WOW. How have so many people not heard of this pllace?when you google "Best Gyro in Cinci" this should be the top result! This place is the best Bar None! Tell your friends to tell their friends. and stop in every chance you get, if only for a slice baklava. update- has lost some of its charm when they renovated, food has suffored... 5 stars down to three

I live and work right down the street; never knew this place existed. I just happened to be walking and just randomly noticed it when I was on my lunch break. Had to swing in and try the food and well, I will be going back. The exterior of the place needs an upgrade, but because a bar is next door, someone who ended up being drunk probably broke their window. Besides that friendly service, and amazing food at a great price!

Excellent authentic food, family-run, pleasant staff, and very reasonable prices. Theres no better value on the west side of Cincinnati if you have a hankering for hummus, felafel, gyros, or anything else Mediterranean. Well be going back again soon!
