The day before me is bleak. I am not prepared for hours of mindless drudgery, of dealing with innumerable miscreants, malefactors, and morons. I can hear them all in my mind as I approach the place where I am but a lowly employee—something less than human, and the psychic cacophony swells in a chaotic crescendo that quickens my blood and blurs my vision. However, I am able to delay the inevitable, the plunge into madness that begins with my logging into a computer, manning a register, and affixing a name tag to my chest that might as well display “Human Machine”. I stagger into Erbert and Gerberts. The aroma of freshly-baked bread steadies my nerves. Im greeted by a worker, and we often exchange pleasantries. I feel as if they, somehow, read the parchment of my soul, seeing the scrawl and ink blots and the abundant markings of tears born of rage and sorrow. They ask what they can get for me, and all I can do is refrain from falling to my knees and begging for surcease from this hideous nightmare life. I generally request a Flash on white bread. The sandwich is assembled with all possible haste. I watch the process, transfixed, as if Im being allowed a brief glimpse into a different reality more ideal than my own. A ribbon-like sticker seals the sandwichs wrapping, adding a touch of finality that brings me back into the world as it is. I offer my profuse thanks, and begin eating the sandwich as I walk the short distance to where Ill spend the remainder of my day. Each bite imparts a sweet solace upon me. A joy that shines bright against the encroaching darkness. The soups here are also quite good.

Restaurant was clean, service was not particularly friendly, decor is like any other E & G. I ordered a soup and signature sandwich combo. The soup was tasty and hot. My sandwich was pathetic. There was one thin slice of Turkey and a hand full of lettuce. The sandwich is branded as "signature". I cant see this being worth $6.79. especially when there are so many options available.

I ordered delivery service today and have been waiting over an hour and a half for one sandwich and a couple bowls of soup.... Still waiting...hope the soup isnt cold when it gets here. When I called in to ask about the delay after an hour and 15 minutes I was told "its on its way" and they hung up. I will not be ordering from here again...

My family and I all ordered sandwiches plain (no veggies and no dressing) on white bread. All our sandwiches were wrong. When we brought all four sandwiches up to be remade, the lady said they were out of bread and our only option was to wait for the wheat bread to cool (and she was rude also). We asked for a refund and left.
