Huh What
If I could rate this place with a quarter of a star I would. Its drastically changed within the past 2 years, mainly the faces you see and the service. Dont get me wrong of course faces are going to change overt time but the place is run by a bunch of dirty nasty people. A waitress stood and talked with a customer for about 20 minutes and literally in less than 3 minutes she Sneezed, coughed and wiped her face. The restaurant just gives off this unsanitary vibe. Our waitress looked like she hadnt bathed in a day or 2. And I honestly wouldnt be shocked if the kitchen violated a few health codes. This place has drastically changed man.

The last time I was there, (post smoking law), you could still smoke. That is 5 stars for me right off the bat. However, the gentleman who went to the restroom in a previous review was exactly right. You have to kinda hold your nose and look straight ahead, otherwise, you might never eat there again! Also, the picture of that idiot that was actually president on the wall makes me want to throw up. Need to take it down! Otherwise, its reasonably priced,and closest thing you get to home cooking on midlothian turnpike. Love the liver and onions!!!!

The French toast is very thick and fluffy, the pancakes were substantial, and the home fries were moist and well seasoned. On the down side, the biscuits and gravy were a big miss. The biscuits were small and dense. Given that Hollywood cemetery is less than 10 miles away, you could almost hear Jefferson Davis spinning in his grave over the gravy that appeared to be from a can with a few chunks of sausage patty added. Overall, I cant say I absolutely wouldnt be back, but I would be a little more careful with my selections.

This place is gone down hill-real bad--he cant keep any help and it has gotten so dirty--dirtier than before and only 1 waittress--he cant keep his help and we waited nearly 40 minutes for dinner and it was cold --A year ago it was good and have going there for many, many years and now its terrible--his whole attitude (Guy) has gone downhill--its not like it used to be--its a same--it used to be good food and good prices--I dont think he will last with this for a business

This place should be featured on Foodnetworks Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! If you like traditional American food that makes you think of Moms Home Cooking and/or Comfort food, then this is the place for you. The atmosphere is warm and inviting as close you can get to home. The waitresses are excellent and know alot of the customers by name. Only Breakfast and lunch are served since they close at 3:30pm, but the food makes the trip worth it.

This place was disgusting, I went to the bathroom and looked into the kitchen from the back, the cooks kinda sneered at me standing in filth. Egg was all over the stove and the cart they had the unrefrigerated eggs on. No gloves worn and no sink I could see. Its a wonder they havent killed somebody. Afterwards I looked up their last health inspection. It speaks volumes of this place. You can check it out at the Virginia Dept.of health.

Service was good. French toast was fair, a little soggy. Home fries were very strange, more like boiled potatos and had no flavor. It was overly warm inside. They had a hand written menu board offering two waffle options and a number of dessert options, none of which were actually available. The sweet tea tasted like it had been sitting for quite some time. Definitely will not return. Also, ladies restroom was not clean.

The moment I walked up to the front door and saw that finger printed Glas , I thought to myself that can not be good . Once I opened the door a mold scent and a scent of unsanitary almost took my breath away . Once seated a male waiter in a very un groomed look served the guest . I immediately left the restaurant .thankfully I have not ordered already .

This place is absolutly disgusting! Everything on the table was covered in grease and food. The exhaust flows back into the dinning room and when I walked out I smell like grease. The servers makes the waffle house servers look like upscale 5 star resaurants servers. I DONOT recommend this place it is filthy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We walked out!!

Very cute- small town diner experience. Immediately got drinks and order placed. The food took a little long to get to us but when we devoured our food we forgot all about the wait. The fried pork chops were some of the best Ive ever had. My drinks were kept refilled and I was happy the whole meal.

Food was plentiful and tasty, had breakfast. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the only reason I give 3 stars, is atmosphere of the current place. I moved away 5 years ago and the old owners had a lot of atmosphere, now is very generic. But food is great, and staff are same.

We enjoy the food and the atmosphere however while visiting, one of the managers called out an employee in the middle of the diner where all the customers heard. An employee should NEVER be called out in front of customers! It should have been handled in the back!
