Be us, 2 regular late 20s human beings just looking to find a place nearby to grab a bite and a beer and watch some basketball. Sit down, talk, laugh, enjoy bustling Saturday night crowd. Enter Lisa. She took almost ten minutes to take our beverage order, and another ten to take our food order. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Order fish and chips, side salad, and appetizer of buffalo wings. Salad came out with the horrendous excuse of a fish and chips meal, not to mention she brought me potato chips instead of the fries I requested. She left the dish with me, meaning I had to eat the fish immediately instead of enjoying the salad. Cause nothing screams second most expensive item on the menu like lukewarm fried fish. Fries were brought out later. When asking for the check and box for leftovers, I requested the six dollar shredded lettuce ”side salad” be removed and was met with enormous defense. Almost ten minutes went by, she walked past our table more than a few times, and we had to request the check again. After finally bringing it over...What do you know...She charged us for the fries. It was a mistake to give this place another shot. Over priced food that is a salt shake away from being an absolute shame, and service that...Well it wasnt service. It was ridiculous. A tradgedy. A joke. Avoid at all cost.

There should not be a star. The female employees will not want to do anything. Volunteer for female customers. They are anxious to look for tips. The waitress look at male customers. While wait on female customers. And it shows they not want to do anything for them.The rude behavior continues by yelling at them,and talk back rude. And not want to come back to the table. of female customers. Females have to wait sometime for service. Female employees spend a lot of time talking to male customers. They want the money. Not from us. The food is ok. Decor is ok.

This is a nice local bar to grab a bite and maybe watch a game. The decor is pretty sparse, its all hard surfaces, and its pretty typical of a sports bar with tvs in the corners. They do turn on sound for games which is great, the beer selection is passable, but the food here is good. The River Burger is the gem on the menu imo, which makes this place one of the best locations for a burger and a beer in N Raleigh. The staff and bartenders have always been good, and the only real downside is that smokers congregate around the entrance.

You would think with such a nice exterior and interior the owner/manager would have made sure the serivce was just as nice. I have been to this pub 3 times, each time thinking it would get better, for lunch before the "rush" and have had to be there for 1 1/2 hours. There does not seem to be enough staff. The food was decent, not acceptable for a 1 hour wait however. I would consider elsewhere for a $8.00 "premade" burger that takes over an hour to get. Oh, also check your bill for any errors!

The food and drinks are really good, especially love to get the Shrimp Po Boys. It is hard to find a good one this side of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and this one is good. Also offering Buffalo version of the Po Boy. Have had some issues with service at times. You have to wait for attention and drinks frequently ran out while waiting. But the food is good and the atmosphere is good pub/sports bar with more than 2 TVs.

Nice bar and atmosphere. Its not a fast food joint so you will have to wait while they cook the food. Pre-Season football with the storms on was what we were looking for. They had a beer special from Big Boss Beer so we found it quick nice. I thought about posting a bad review so people leave it alone but that wouldnt be very nice.

I just move to raleigh the river pub is the only place in town that cant cook a medium rare steak I tried on 3 different occasions I Had some of the worst conversations I ever had in my life. wouldnt back if you paid me

Most items on the menu are delicious. Club sandwich and burgers are the best. Good beer and wine selection and fair prices. Friendly staff. A local spot Kids friendly, outdoor seating.
