Well, to begin with I had a taste for Italian and thought I would get some "me" time at a local restaurant.Capri was on the way home and I thought I would try something new. The atmosphere is lovely and tastefully done. It was quiet and a simple pink rose in water waited on the table, which was beautiful. I assumed the food and service would be just as wonderful. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The service was so so, a younger guy was nonchalant and borderline rude while the older guy was friendly and much more inviting...however, I cant help but point out that he served me what seemed to be a flat glass of wine. I wasnt sure if it was because it was a profitable way to get rid of a bottle of wine or he didnt know it would be flat...could also be that it wasnt flat at all but their particular brand is not like other Mucato wines Ive had. For all I know, he was just trying to be accomodating by finding a bottle of wine that is only sold by the bottle to give me a single glass (one reason why I kept my rating as a 3) but I thought I would include it in the review. The entree (an alfredo pasta) wasnt good at all. It was tough and bland. The desert was better but I wouldnt say it was that great. It put me in the mind of something Id pick up at a chain ~ super sweet. All in all, I doubt Ill go back. I hate it because It was a lovely restaurant (why I gave it 3 stars) and had a very romantic atmosphere. I wont say other items on the menu arent better and that I may have picked the worst entree on Capris menu, but given the number of pretty good Italian places (in regards to flavor and service) in the area Ill probably pass on a 2nd try.

I’m usually too lazy to write reviews but never before have I felt so utterly ripped off walking out of a restaurant that I feel incited to warn other unsuspecting customers. The spaghetti carbonara was soggy and did not have any egg yolks or cream. It looked like they had quickly tossed some lukewarm pasta with store-bought alfredo sauce and plated it. They had a pork dish on special (can’t remember the name of the dish); it was a $17 entrée which came with a cutlet of pork along with steamed broccoli and carrots. The pork cutlet looked like it came out of a microwave, did not have enough breading, and cheese that I could hardly see with my eyes. No pasta/bread - nothing. Never before have my taste buds been assaulted by such phony, low-grade fodder masquerading as homemade italian food. The waiter brought over a bowl of grated parmesan cheese. We were still using it when the waiter came back and abruptly took it away. I’m just kicking myself right now. Capri – you really took us to the cleaners last night. We could have gotten a big mac at McDonald’s and donated the rest to charity. That money could’ve fed a family of four in a third world country for 2 weeks. What a waste! Like I said: I‘m just kicking myself right now.

Simply awful. I had 7 PM reservations through Open Table for Valentines Day, arrived on time only to find a mob of others who had done the same thing. There were no available tables. There was no one to seat us. The owner came by, told everyone to keep track among themselves of the order we arrived and tables would eventually become available. I looked at the clipboard he was using to keep track of seating and my name appeared nowhere. As more guests poured in, some of the owners friends were seated while the people who had made reservations waited. It was apparent the the owner had put no restrictions on reservations, probably with the hope the he could seat more people than he would otherwise be able to do. We left, bought groceries and cooked at home. The entire experience was worse than third world. Do not support this business.

The quality of the food is unparalleled by most other Italian establishments in the area. Went for a date (its simultaneously comfortable and classy) on recommendation, hearing that its authentic Italian food. (No experience with the wine tasting because of limited knowledge of wine, but if I could Id come here for a tasting, too.) I think back to that visit all the time. My date ordered salmon linguine and the pasta appeared fresh-made and was al dente. I ordered fish, which came with beautiful vegetables and a delightful tomato sauce with capers and garlic. Whoah! Cant wait to return! The service was excellent; the wait staff 2as very attentive.

I expected much better service at the wine tasting event in December. Staff seemed unorganized. My salad had overcooked boiled eggs in it which I feel it never should have left the kitchen like that. Food was not memorable and service left something to be desired. Although I wouldnt return, interactions with the staff were pleasant but not enough to make up for the lackluster meal.

I have eaten at Capri many times over the years. It is fantastic with authentic Italian cuisine. Wait staff is very friendly. I am not sure what happened to the people who are giving this wonderful little gem a poor review. Dont see what you want on the menu? 9 times out of 10 they will accommodate your request. Maybe they (the reviewer, not the restaurant) were having a bad day?

Average as fine dining, Good as casual dining. Technically, this qualifies as "fine dining". No TV, linen napkins, no plastic glassware. But, theres also no full bar and very little creativity coming out of the kitchen. Still, its one of my faves for good, well-prepared Italian food. Love their carpaccio. Half carafe of house wine is a bargain.

Ive seen them treat customers as well as their own waiting staff rudely. Theyve tried to overcharge me on two different occasions and was unapologetically rude when I politely pointed out what I initially thought to be an honest mistake on the bill. It became clear that it was a deliberate attempt to overcharge me.

We love the food. We love the staff. Dino and his sons are always very welcoming and accommodating. As a native New Yorker, we are total snobs when it comes to good Italian food. I say with total confidence that Capri is the best spot in the Triangle for authentic Italian. Never disappoints. My comfort food.

Great food, the wait staff is friendly and the owner is straight from Italy! Their homemade seafood ravioli is my favorite on the menu. It is full of flavor and I can not find it anywhere else. The wine pairing dinner was very nice as well when we went with our friends. Elegant place for a dinner.

Horrible food, i ordered takeout and the prices I got when I arrived was different from the prices online. I got the lasagna which was more sauce and barely any beef in it and got a side salad that ending up costing 7 dollars. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Experienced Capri for the first time last weekend -- what a find! The Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare (linguine with fruit of the sea) was an incredible, generous medley of prawns, clams and mussels in white wine, garlic sauce. Heaven!

Capri is a small family restaurant with a very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a rustic Italian menu. Its not AmItalian style, or like the Macaroni grill - more simple food, and a neighborhood restaurant thats good.
